Very well could be. If we don't account for lvl 3 clues (with clues Jellies would skyrocket) than my list of profitable Slayer monsters is something like this (for lvl 75 slayer): 1. Gargoyles 2. Basilisks and Banshees 3. Aberrant Specters 4. Cockatrice and Cave Crawler 5. Harpy Bug Swarms and Bloodvelds

Well, here is from my records. Look :-) Time spent: 45 min Drops: 416 pure ess 4 ranaars 2 kwarums 6 irits 4 harrallanders 5 high level herbs (> lvl 62) 14 cosmic runes 17 chaos runes 2 emeralds Total is about: 41600 + 28000 + 10000 + 6000 + 4000 + 10000 + 2500 + 2000 + 4000 = 108K If we calculate from 45 min to 60 min we will get 144K per hour! Note that there are no black mystic gloves in this one, so average loot will be even bigger.

No, I didn't counted pots when I calculated my profit. Only what I get as drops. It mainly comes from: about 50% - pure essense about 25% - ranaars the rest 25% - occasional mystic gloves and other herbs. As I make and sell pots instead of herbs I make even more in a long run.

If you don't bank fish I would recommend the new Barbarian fishing training. It is faster than any old fly-fishing methods. Perfect way for powerfishing. I think only monkfish is better. Next in my list of fishing methods are: -- Rainbow fly-fishing in Shilo Village (bank and cook later). Rainbow fish gives very good exp and the fish heals 11 which is almost as lobsters. -- Salmon/trout fly-fishing. In Shilo Village if you bank fish. In Barbarian or Shilo village is you drop fish. -- Lobsters in Catherby or Fishing Guild

I do the following: 1. Wear a saphire bracelet, brown apron, wield staff of air. 2. Put in your inventory: -- another bracelet -- pickaxe -- law runes -- earth runes -- water runes -- fire runes (if you make Varrok teletabs) 3. Start from Falador west bank 4. Over the wall and run to the Crafting guild 5. Mine soft clay 6. Teleport to your house and make teletabs 7. Teleport to Falador, if needed bank teletabs and take new bracelets 8. Repeat

I sell mystic gloves when I get them. I make potions from herbs and sell them. I always get 4-5 ranaars from a run, so it is very profitable. As for pure essense, I use it to make nats, but you may very well sell it. In Canifis. Not very close, but OK. I wear dragonhide. Pretty much every monster in the Slayer Tower is better to deal with in dragonhide. Actually, you don't have to worry much about getting damage from Banshees (of course with eafmuffs), so wear dragonhide and your best aggressive/attack weapon/outfit (any strength/attack bonuses are plus). You want to kill them quick.

They don't drop anything good but bloods and you don't get a lot of them. Expect to get about 80-100 bloods from 100 bloodvelds. Herb droppers are more profitable.

I easily make 120K per hour on Banshees! They drop noted pure essense a lot, plus good herbs and black mystic gloves. Very easy kill (just don't forget eafmuffs) - one of my favorite Slayer monstes. Another easy good one is Basilisk (take mirror shield). Also very easy to kill. Drop very good herbs, nature runes and white mystic hats.

World 6 and at some degree world 9 are the places where you can find the team. I strongly suggest to read the guide first just to know what to do. Also start from an easy role: Attacker or Collector. Try Healer and Defender later when you get more experience. Remember to use the horn. And don't get frustrated with your team mates. That's the rule #1. This game is tough in regards that you will get into situations when your team mates don't behave properly. Don't get angry, talk to them, ask questions.
-
I get more clues from Hell Hounds rather than Jellies though
-
Pyramid Plunder is good starting from 51 or for some people from 41. I used it to get from 61 to 96.

I wrote a short guide on how to manage the kingdom effectively in my blog recently http://www.rshaven.com/how-to-manage-yo ... fectively/ I hope it will help. I use this method as my main money source in the game.

Yes. Yes, I would say so. He is easy to get to from Edgeville, and he will give you good assignments to raise Slayer fast. Both true. My favorite mosters though are: -- Banshees (very easy to kill, drop noted pure essense and a lot of good herbs - I make about 120K on them in an hour) -- Basilisks (also very easy to kill, drop super good herbs and nature runes) -- Gargoyles (yammy, but require 75 slayer :-) )

Minotaurs in the Security Stronghold are good for ranging. And they drop iron arrows, so you won't get out of ammo. If you have 60+ ranged, you can try Lesser demons in Karamja volcano.
-
Yes, go to Vanakka and get the assignment. You'll get someone familiar at first, not a slayer monster. In general you'll have about 30-50% of all assignments NOT on Slayer monsters. Fisrt few levels will be fast especially with your combat. Don't even think about maging mosters (too slow normally). Use Melee and Ranged. If you want to raise Slayer very fast and can afford spend a lot of money on it, use Cannon (be prepared to spend tons of money on cannon balls). After you get to 50+ in Slayer, you might want to switch to the Zanaris Slayer master. In general: -- Vanakka gives more assignments which can be cannoned -- Zanaris master gives more exotic assignments Choose yourself. Good luck!
-
Yes, they are good. And besides not that boring as experiments as they actually drop some good stuff.
-
I did it a lot recently, my current fishing list is as follows: 1. Monkfish (can't beat that!) 2. New Barbarian training (very quick way to powerfish) 3. Rainbow fishing 4. Salmon/Trout fly-fishing 5. Lobsters
-
I use cannon for powerslayer and, yes, Vanakka gives a lot of good cannonable assignments such as Dagonnath, Kalphites, Werewolves and Trolls. So the Slayer goes up much faster this way. Note: werewolves and trolls are not in multicombat area, but you can sweep through them much faster with the cannon.
-
Just a few tips: -- use cannon whenever possible. Literally - even on dogs and such junk. -- get assignments from Edgeville master as he gives a lot of 'cannon' type assignments. Specifically: dagonnath, kalphites, werewolves, trolls. -- He also gives a lot of bloodvelds - unfortunatelly non-'cannonable', so get through them fast (melee is the best option). -- If you on an assignment where cannon cannot be used, bring and use super attack/strength potions. Do it fast! -- 'Buthorp' tough non-'cannonable' asignments such as metal Dragons.
-
I confirm. I died there too and had to go over from that part.
-
I would suggest Minotaurs in Security Stronghold. They are easy to get to, easy to kill and they drop iron arrows, so you won't get out of ammo.
-
It is hard to achieve unless you are a part of the team out there. Nowadays people team up with friends/clans to win the game. Lone wolf hardly stand a chance.

my record so far is selling a knife for 20K
-
I give free items away from the bank. I would share food in Slayer dungeons and places like that. Or during quests and such. But when someone is willing to pay, why not :-)
-
I was wondering if many people actually do small time merchanting. I mean selling various items like knifes, ropes, rings, bronze bars etc. to other players for outrageous prices (2-20K). I do it a lot and found it a very fun and interesting way to make money. Even wrote an article in the blog about it here Small Time Merchanting. What do you think about this way to make money? Is it rip off and should be discouraged? Or on contrary very helpful in the game for all players involved? Have you ever bougth a bronze bar for 10K? Would you ever?
