95% of the posters in this thread don't have a clue what they are talking about. First off, on-screen keyboard doesn't work, because all it is doing is using a keystroke triggered onclick, so it still sends the keystrokes which will be logged. Whether or not the pin sends keystrokes (it can, but it also may not), most keyloggers record screenshots onclick, which is why your bank can still be hacked when your account is hacked if you have a pin.

I'm at roughly 11.4M cash atm, don't want to have to sell anything, but I found a great way to merchant is to buy 100k pure ess off of a goldfarmer/merchanter and sell for 85-90 ea, I know this isn't a really honest way to make some cash, but who cares?

Logically it could seem that you would make 1M-2M / hour rcing bloods/souls if it were possible, but take into consideration that prices would drop. Maybe you could also have something to do to the pure ess before rc'ing it, to not nerf the econ.

I'm all happy, I died yesterday night and lost full black elegant, black cav, glory, fury, ~3M cash, and over 100K willows yesterday when I was in world 1 buying willows, and since the rollback I have it all again. A nonmember is complaining about updates, way to contradict yourself. I am not going to get started on how nonmembers don't deserve updates whatsoever. Plus, I noticed the updates took a dive bomb a few months ago, but they are back up and how I like them now, the last few updates have been GREAT.

I am seeing a flux of threads about stopping macros, so I will simply make my own, which will be a compiled list of ways to stop bots, instead of a simple idea. CAPTCHA These are the registration keys that you must type in to register at most sites, these prevent bots from registering. These are possible to bypass with shape recognition, but not all bots have that, and if the characters are skewed enough this could prove effective. Aggressive NPC's We have already found a way to lure Hobgoblins, Muggers, Highwaymen, Wizards, etc to attack bots, and these have been effective, how about Jagex does this? They should add some highwaymen/wizards near yew trees, so that autos will be attacked, these do not include every yew tree, such as Edgeville or Seers', but would include the Lumbridge Swamp yews as well as Rimmington's, Varrock's, etc. Aubury vs Bots Bots commonly mine pure ess, I lure muggers in there to attack the bots, but the bots simply teleport to the ess mines, how about making it so that you cannot be teleported by a NPC while you are engaged in combat! You can't drink saradomin brews if food is off, so logically I would think wines wouldn't work either.

Before you attempt an argument, you should know the facts. After studying a variety of programs, more than half of them have automated registry. What is the point of slowing them down? If you can't figure this out yourself, then you aren't very intelligent. Jagex is trying to ban the bots, but they keep coming back, if Jagex can improve the bots "death rate", and decrease their "birth rate", a less ratio of them will exist. And even if none of that works, which it would, I don't see any problem with typing in the code, and maybe for dyslexic people they could send a message to staff or something.

Advanced RuneScape macro programs can easily use shape recognition features to overcome this problem, by hovering over sections of wall until it says "Open Door", then opening that area.

Did you know that when POH's came out, there was a glory-duping glitch, which duped glories if you click "Remove" out of building mode, which severely dropped the prices of glories, and many players profited greatly from it, one of the most popular being n0valyfe who received over 1.5k amulets of glory from the bug?

And maybe for equipment for the party items (balloons, etc) AND for adding the performers, you could go to a new area of the Party Room and buy a Party Package (Balloon, etc), and for performers you can talk to the manager and pay him to add a type of performer to your hotspot.

This is a simple update that could take place on the website, and could seriously cut down on bots. This would use CAPTCHA (Completly Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart), which would have to be entered whenever you register to prevent bots from registering. This of course isn't foolproof because bots can use image and shape recognition to go around it, but it would slow them down. And it isn't too hard to type it in for a legit player, an example is:

This would not so much as delay keyloggers/hackers, because as stated before the keylogger looks for any keystrokes, which are still triggered by on screen keyboards. As for a pin stopping keyloggers, this could somewhat delay them, but advanced spyware also can just record the screen as well, and yes I've seen it before. Recording the screen, as in most advanced keyloggers record mouse positions onclick, and take screenshots onclick, so this isn't foolproof.

To clarify the lobster w/ gaunts argument, I know and have tested this on two separate accounts. You stop burning at 68 with Gauntlets and 73 without gauntlets, which also somewhat proves that gauntlets reduce your burn level by five.

I came here, because friends have told me this is the only real RuneScape forum now, that actually has a decent community. So I came, and was surprised. I'm pretty sure that this already is taking place, JaGeX has thought of this, and they (or so I've heard) send undercover staff pretending they are regular players to other forums, and they might have made on of their own.
