  1. yeah, i guess bait problems might slow you down
  2. in the end all we can do is try to be as good ppl as we can be
  3. interesting median and average are the same thing technically, or rather median is one kind of average. average is a category that includes mean, median, and mode. generally average is used to mean "mean", which is all statistics added up and divided by the number of statistics lol and who the hell knows how to get standard deviation?
  4. reading this made me want to go out and runecraft again :D then i tried to buy ess from the market and noone sold now im sad :(
  5. lol it took me about 5,000 laps to learn this much about the camera angles; maybe im just slow the pictures worked fine for me, and if i hadn't already been training agility on this course for 2 months i might even have learned something useful. good stuff btw, you can get off one dose between the skull slope and the rope, although it does make you have to click the rope twice
  6. the bad bait in front of the exits is to keep them from leaving, which is my biggest concern if you place a lure line leading from the bad bait to one of the traps, runners will usually follow it and die
  7. hmmm good point, i will
  8. you don't eat or drop it, you use it as bait
  9. lvl 37 wearing nothing: hi lvl 87 wearing Dharoks: noob lvl 37: my main is zezima lvl 37: can i have free stuff? lvl 87: noob, zezima has 500 partyhats lvl 37: what's a party hat? gimme free stuff lvl 87: your not zezima, he doesn't make noob accounts lvl 37: maybe he gets bored being #1 lvl 87: zezima doesn't get bored, playing rs is like banging a hot chick for him lvl 37: gimme free stuff lvl 87: noob (teleports) if your wondering, i was the lvl 37
  10. i like a bad pun as much as the next guy, but jagex goes over the top with it sometimes. If there isn't at least one dumb joke in a quest, it's not a runescape quest :? the updates i don't mind so much, but still, so many puns in that one article? it annoyed me too
  11. lol im not saying what levels you need to fish them, just what xp you get for fishing them but thanks for that, i'll add it 8-)
  12. i actually found that, from lvl 70 on, the ape atoll course was faster (i tried the spinning blade thing) and i stopped failing altogether at 75 also, since i got 90, i've been finding the dorgesh-kaan course is faster still, but i don't like having to remember what item im supposed to be picking up from the generator
  13. oh... im a noob, is that better than worse than say, helm of neitzinot?
  14. Surprise surprise; Jagex has put in a new way to train fishing that is slightly faster than shilo. At Shilo i get about 38k per hour; at baxtorian i'm so far making about 42k per hour. Not a vast improvement, but it is an improvement. Of course, there's a drawback; in shilo you get loads of cooking xp from frying the fish you catch; in this new way you get very little cooking xp. On the plus side, you also get a little agility and strength xp, so its all good. HOW TO START All you need is about 20 feathers or normal fishing bait, a knife, and a games necklace. If you already have a barbarian fishing rod, bring that too. Teleport to the barbarian outpost, and then walk south to baxtorian falls. if you haven't already, talk to otto to start the barbarian training minigame. Talk to him specifically about fishing, until he tells you about barbarian fishing using heavy tackle, and tells you to get the rod from under his bed. TADA; you now have all the equipment you need to camp and powerfish FISHING There are fishing spots all around the lake; just pick one and start fishing (this is what your bait/feathers are for). Its surprising how many different kinds of bait will let you fish here. You will catch Leaping Trout: (48 Fishing, 15 str/agility level required) 50 fishing, 5 agility, 5 str xp Leaping Salmon: (58 Fishing, 30str/agility level required) 70 fishing, 6 agility, 6 str xp Leaping Sturgeon: (70 Fishing, 45 str/agility level required) 90 fishing, 7 agility, 7 str xp Thanks to Doom1200 for the level requirements \ After you catch a fish, use a knife on them to get cooking xp. If you succeed, you get roe (salmon/trout) or caviar (sturgeon) and one fish offcut(all fish); or you may partially succeed (with salmon or trout) and only get roe. No matter if you succeed or partially succeed, and no matter what fish you use, you will always get 10 cooking xp *unless* you fail, in which case you will get nothing, not even xp. Every part (roe/caviar/offcuts) can be REUSED AS BAIT In a reverse of classical rs style, you will actually fail to cut higher level fish less. I have never failed to cut a sturgeon; however, i have about an 80% success rate on salmon and a 50% rate on trout. Since im 99 cooking, and i shouldn't really be failing this much, im assuming that your success rate is not closely tied to your cooking level. Roe and Caviar don't stack; fish offcuts do. Also, if you have offcuts, roe, and caviar in your inventory, you will use offcuts, then roe, then caviar, in that order. For this reason, i would recommend dropping the offcuts. Everytime you catch a fish you will lose one piece of bait; in this way, your inventory will remained balanced until your full on fish and out of bait. This is *much* faster than banking in shilo, if your fast at cutting with your knife, which alone makes it faster; plus, you never need to buy bait. ZACHHOCKEY2'S YOUTUBE VERSION http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR8gxe2Juuc ADVANTAGES Fastest way i've found to get fishing xp Adds free, small amounts of agility, strength, and cooking xp Infinite supply of free bait You can help lots of people who are trying to do barbarian training You can bank if you want to: walk to barbarian outpost, gnome stronghold(there's a shortcut if you have 37 agility, northwest of the falls), or just cw ring tele and then games necklace back DISADVANTAGES Hard to bank, even if you want to Much less cooking xp/money than any other form of fishing I'm choosing to do this because: I have 99 cooking so i don't care about the xp decrease My strength and agility are both nearly 99; i fish to take a break from agility, so it pleases me to train it while fishing I really am only in it for the xp; don't care about the money : NOT A WONDERFUL GUIDE: JUST THOUGHT ALL YOU POWERFISHERS WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, SHILO IS OBSOLETE EDIT: I think there are 3 reasons why this is faster 1. If you're fast, the no-banking policy can save you a lot of time. 2. The fishing spots are much more stable. 3. If you have the reqs, leaping sturgeon are good because they have no shilo counterpart. Leaping sturgeon are the only truly huge advantantage to this method, so if you can't catch them you might not want to try.
  15. World 6 Barbarian Assault 4ever!!!! *UPDATED* added pics moved some text around, added to the Additional Features section. *UPDATED V.3* Completely revamped the Point Breakdown section, it really deserves a second look now. Edited a few sections, trying to make them more readable and less text-intensive. Added a couple tips and tricks to a few sections too. Most of this is standard fare, and shouldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be useful to you B.A. pros, but there are a few diamonds in the rough. If you learn anything useful from this thread, anything at all, I ask you, nay, I lay this upon you as a sacred duty̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã
