I'd say this update is totally fine. It doesn't destroy upper level ranging methods--it's certainly not better than addy bolts!--But it does offer a cheap, easy, fast way to train range. Of course, really that only brings it into line with the way melee has worked for as long as I've known it. Maybe now Jagex will release an update that un-screws mages, and all three training paths will be equal.

I guess anything is good if you look at it from a positive enough angle. Noobs may be annoying, but they're funny :P

Chippy we enjoy talking about the economy, if you don't then you're free to not post but don't knock us for doing what we like. As to this thread--all I can say is, the author is using shallow arguments. There is NO WAY player stock can support 1/100th of the previous botting community. Millions of gp were already being pumped out of the economy daily by bots buying from shops, rasing the shop price won't increase that problem, it will KILL IT. And don't even get me started on inflation--let's just say that, as long as any player can provide any item any time they want to inflation is impossible. The ONLY items liable to inflate are tradeable discontinued items--rares. Everything will always be tied down by the fact that other players can make their own. Shame on anyone who believes this garbage--especially an aspiring economist.

RANDOM UPDATES Not just has the wierd white stripes of the pinball machine been removed making it easier to see, but you can now turn your run energy on/off in the maze random, and switch between other menus as well! here's a pic of me cutting gems in the maze EDIT: I posted this on the RSOF and someone replied that they got the maze random after reading it and couldn't change options... maybe I just glitched out. If so... #-o

Two major fallacies in this thread; one, you assume bots will somehow manage to buy from player stock, but player stock only exists when players sell runes to the shop, so there's no way they will get a lot from there. Two, you somehow think that driving up the prices on runes, thus making players less likely to buy from stores and more likely to buy from other players, and thus keeping more money circulating in the economy, is going to deplete the amount of gold in RS, which doesn't make any sense at all to me. R.I.P. Autobuyers, jagex just pwnt you.

Is it just me or have they cleaned up the pinball random? Used to be it seemed like you were looking through very dirty, streaky glass; now its just like your looking through clean glass. Everything still has a blueish tint but those annoying white streaks are gone. EDIT: Yes i'm sure of it, they updated the look of the pinball random. Heres how it used to look (stole from runetips mainsite, under the random event general guide See the obnoxious white streaks? They're gone. I'll get a pic up as soon as I can.

ALL pures--and I do mean all--are designed to fight other players. That's kind of the point. They gain an advantage in combat by manipulating the combat system, but that same manipulation makes them less useful in combating npc monsters. They purposefully sacrifice the ability to play this game fully in order to fight other players better. All pures are deceptive main-killers; it's not stereotyping, its the definition of a pure. Asking mains why they hate pures is like asking gay people why they hate AIDS. PS I'm not trying to knock pures, I'm just saying their desires are at odds with skillers.

Are you serious? You complain about this guide because you misread it, and then when he explains your mistake you just start insulting him? Dude, not cool. About the guide; yeah I think i agree that this should just be on general discussion, it's not really a guide just a set of facts. there are 2 issues in this, in my opinion; whether or not you should have been muted and whether or not clan and other chats should be seperated. I don't think you should have been muted--but then, all i know of this is your side, and that's likely biased, so i can't make a good decision. Personally, i think it would just be stupid if jagex seperated clan chat from the other kinds of chat; if your perm muted, you have no right to talk on this game, at all. That's the whole point of the punishment.
