blk salamanders?
Just looking at training with a lizard, and I think it will be pretty expensive to buy harralander tar, or swamp tar and harralander. Tar is about 400 on GE, and I think Harralanders are around 1k Unless you can hit big to make the magic xp worth 1.4k a shot, don't think it is effective at all.

d med? Helm of neitiznot? D legs? fighter torso?
If I have never played barb assault once, how long will it take me to get the torso? is it easy to learn and play barb assault? It all seems so complicated to me.

Is there even a market for swamp lizards...
Yeah there is really no market for them. I have tried to sell green, yellow, and red lizards/salamanders with no luck. Best bet is to alch them I guess.

Cost effective way of training magic
Hey guys, I am currently level 42 in magic. I really need some cost effective ways of training up to do high level quests (swan song, family crest, etc.) I have about 300k I'm willing to part with, but can easily make more if I need to. Advice please! P.S. I have read some guides in the guide section but just testing the waters to see if there are any other methods out there.

26 November 2007 - The Grand Exchange
I don't know what my problem is, I put deaths up for my usual selling price of 500 ea. No one has bought them. I try putting them up at the highest, 508 ea. No one has bought them. Here's how I see the system should work: If someone wants to buy deaths for 550 ea, and they place their bid at that, and someone is selling for 500 ea, the person who bid on them should get the runes and 50 gp for every rune bought. In this way sellers don't have to hit the gp amount exactly to still sell their wares.

Has Jagex lied to us?
I posted about IP banning here on the forums earlier this week and someone said that IP banning does not totally get rid of a computer. It has become easier and easier to get around. My point with this post was that Jagex needs to work with the honest players, not against them. And I have seen nothing that makes me feel as though Jagex wants honest players to help them except with the report abuse button.

Your advice and opinions
It is a very useful skill especially if you want to grow your own herbs for herblore. It is a long process, so I have just used Tears of Guthix to level me up and save seeds and money.

Is rule 11 advertisement? If so I can't believe you got 10 for that. But, Jagex has been really cracking down on rule breaking right now so you really need to watch your P's and Q's.

Has Jagex lied to us?
I remember a while ago when I read an update about Rule 12 (real world trading) this is what it said from a June 4th, 2007 update: Did you catch the line in there that said we have reliable ways of catching people who are real world trading AND it is very easy to detect? Then why aren't they using this system to catch people who are breaking the rules? Why are they changing parts of the game that people loved to dearly? How come in the past months we haven't had an update of the thousands they have banned since? These are all questions I have asked myself when there is talk of taking away direct player-to-player trading. I feel as though Jagex has lied in the fact that maybe they aren't doing enough of this basic stuff to combat autoers. If they can detect a grossly disproportional trade (I'm guessing) then why can't they also detect a grossly dispositional stake in the duel arena and remove people selling gold that way. All I hope is that Jagex would never be stupid enough to take away player-to-player trades. It is going to take the whole RS community to combat autoers. Jagex MUST work in conjunction with the players to stop it. Hopefully they won't punish the honest players for the sins of just a few people breaking the rules.

Pest Control Efficiency
6/10 Pictures would be awesome, or a video of each of the different methods. You gave some good info.

-=| The mechanics of Summoning |=-
People are associating summoning with necromancy which is not what I think it is going to be like. Of course you probably will be able to summon undead creatures, which is where people are getting the necromancy idea, but you will defiantly be able to summon other creatures too. I think the beast of burden idea is correct. Creatures you summon will be able to aide you in some sort of way. My biggest question with it so far is where is Jagex going to squeeze the "summoning spell book" into the interface. After the addition of clan chat there doesn't seem to be any room left. If this means that it is another swappable spell book (like lunar or ancient magiks) I believe it would really cause an uproar. Summoning: Cool idea, it is going to take awhile for them to perfect, and hopefully since they have been working on it for so long it will be worth the wait.

how long before more minigame highscores
I think a CW and a PC ranking would be good. That way you have a basic understanding if people are smart enough to shut gates in PC and put up barriers in the right spots in CW

Update of items kept on death with GE?
I think the system should, like normal, choose your 3 items that you keep on death, but I also think that you should be able to swap out items you would prefer to keep on death. For example: when I die I would lose everything but my whip, rune plate, and legs. I would rather keep my rune boots since the real value is higher than the price of rune legs. I mean Jagex owns the characters, but shouldn't, we the people who are playing them get to control what we keep?

Will summoning bring daytime and nighttime?
If there was a day/night system it would be based on an internal game time, which would probably sync with the Jagex time zone. So for US players it would mostly be night time.

Meeting RS people IRL - Your opinions
I have always thought it would be cool if somewhere in the US there was a RuneCon or something like that. For most other games they have one, but I guess since Jagex is based in the UK there could never been an official one.

Ring of Wealth?
I have one, and I don't really notice any significant drop increases when I wear it. Does it truly increase better drops?

Jmod quote from RSOF regarding real world trading
Then the only other way I can see fixing the macroer problem without changing game systems already in place would kill REAL skillers. By this I mean combat level has to go up as you get into higher levels or skills.

huge inflation!
you got it wrong yourself =D> inflation is prices going UP Im sorry, are you stupid? Why do prices go up? Cause santa aint giving out free stuff for christmas? NO. Because the generally accepted trade mark (aka MONEY) goes down in price =D> I have no idea what you just said in this last post. Can you explain yourself? And Im pretty sure you have it wrong. The more money in the economy means that the RS gold coin isnt worth as much as if there was only half as much. When there are billions and billions of gold coins in the economy it drives prices up because gold coins are worth as much.

Grand Exchange: Your thoughts?
Economy does apply, and i thnink if you play RS you will be forced to use the Grand exchange, we shall see in 1 week. See No way. I don't think in a million years Jagex would go as far as taking personal trades out of the game.
-
Jmod quote from RSOF regarding real world trading
Im not sure about this but is Jagex just banning characters, or are they IP banning computers? I think the IP ban would be a far better route to go through first before changing game systems. But if they do IP ban and people are still getting around it, then I think it is okay for them to make updates like this.
-
huge inflation!
If price is coming down it means that RS gold is worth more.
-
Ahem.... New thing for next year is summoning...
Zezima for sure
-
The money in your pocket
As of right now it is. But the update stated that the Grand Exchange will be used as a gage of items value. I have a feeling that the Grand Exchange will also be used to create a "gold sink" in the economy.
-
The money in your pocket
You might not realize this now, but I'm pretty sure Jagex is trying to make the RS gold coin worth something again. Example: If there is a 50 man tourney, you all pay 10k, meaning 500k for the winner. If Jagex only gives the winner 400k of the money and takes the other 100k as a "tourney fee" they are pulling gold out of the economy making the gold coin stronger. Since the price of items are shooting up, I believe Jagex is trying to pull prices back down by doing this. It is a noble cause and I believe will help RS out in the future.
