Do you have a wake-up light? If not, you might consider buying one. Definitely makes waking up more pleasant, especially during those months when it's pitch dark outside when you are supposed to get up. I always hated getting up in the dark, but got one early this year. It's not like I'm suddenly full of energy, don't expect a miracle, but my mornings are much better than before :) After many a night scheming, I have devised me own wake-up light: I leave the light on in the other room ;). I still get to sleep easily, but alarm clock + seeing that light immediately after waking up helps me get up at the time I want most of the time. I can only fall asleep if the room is pitch black, I actually have to unplug my computer at night as the little power LEDs on the speakers and power bar keep me awake. What's been somewhat working for me is going to bed at 10 and getting up at 6, that way I'm not dragging myself out of bed 30 minutes before I need to leave the house, and if I really need an extra hour of sleep I can get away with it.

Went to the casino for the first time. Made $15 off roulette and blackjack. Blackjack is a lot of fun, but the tables were all $5 limit tables and I didn't want to lose my meager profit so I only played a dozen or so hands. It's kinda depressing to see people sitting at the same slot machine all night though, I can only imagine they're really bad at math.

Finished my (second) first week (well two days) of University. I'm taking four classes so my days are pretty short, unfortunately I start at 8:30 or 9:30 every day. Canadian Economics and Computer Science look fun, Calculus and repeating Linear Algebra less so. I ended up loving my new mechanical keyboard so much I ordered another one to use with my laptop. It's a compact 60% layout, so all the F keys and arrows/home/del/etc. are on a function layer on top of the other keys. Will probably take a while to get used to, but it'll be a lot easier than lugging around a fullsized keyboard.

Amaretto and coke is amazing, but I can't drink it regularly or I get way too drunk because it doesn't taste like alcohol at all. After going through a few different drinks I've settled on a double club and coke as my main drink when I'm out. If I'm drinking beer I usually go for Kieth's.

So I did mushrooms with some friends the other day. Long story short, broke a guitar, headbutted a painting, destroyed my own glasses and almost got myself killed running into traffic. Think I'll stick to weed and liquor from now on.
