  1. I never liked doing physics at school, but it's probably the thing that interests me the most out of the four. I love things like string theory, wormholes, spacetime, blackholes and such.
  2. So I'd see a faster connection if I upgraded my router from G to N, without doing anything about my actual broadband speed?
  3. Sometimes, most free anti-malware programs will have tools that you can only use once you've paid and registered.
  4. There should be an option around the login screen for safe mode, or on the front page.
  5. Small note, make sure your mic isn't turned up too much or you get that looped sound that will never go away and annoys the hell out of everyone in the game. :)
  6. I'll look into it for you. EDIT: I've found the account, but there is no personal information on it which you might be able to provide me. If you can tell me the email you used on it, I can give it back, but until then as a safety measure I'm sure you'll understand I can't just give you it back. Here's a small hint to maybe jog your memory about the email: It's to do with a certain cuisine...
  7. I've never actually seen a HD film up close, but I've walked past shop ones that are on display, and I never really see a remarkable difference. :)
  8. Locked.
  9. From my research (since I know next to nothing about ATI gfx cards), the Radeon HD 2400 seems like an OK card, an entry level video card. The 8400 GS on the pc you linked to is pretty decent. The pc you linked to in your original post is actually pretty good, 3GB RAM, decent gfx card, Core 2 Duo cpu etc. That pc would be a good buy as far as I can tell, there's nothing I can see that's particularly bad about it. It looks like a good pc for what you will use it for. I've got a Zoostorm pc, too, nothing bad I can say about them.
  10. It would be very useful for system backups. :-k

So your laptop's gpu is integrated? From my experience integrated cards are bad for anything other than basic functions. Since you have a laptop you might not be able to upgrade your graphics card very easily.
  12. Unfortunately I'm going to have to pull out of this project. I've got a lot of stuff coming up and I won't have enough time to work on it. Sorry. :(
  13. http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/produ ... _d015003~~ Found that on the Dell website. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz 2GB RAM Vista 500GB Hard drive ATI Radeon HD 2400 Graphics Card This comes without a monitor, which I assume is fine as you said you wanted just a tower? It fits the price range, too. You can always buy a 2GB stick of RAM from a shop and fit it yourself, it's very easy to do and a 2GB stick will only be about £40. You probably won't need 3GB of RAM though, I use my pc for similar things as you will, and my RAM usage only peaks at around 1.1GB.
  14. The bits I highlighted are bad, you need to smooth them out and make it flow better. Overall I'd say splatters aren't great, work on smudging and C4D's instead.
  15. Have you tried playing in Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browsers?
  16. What do you mean? I think it's a bit more than just producing the same quantity... The prices will always get cheaper and cheaper, that's how electronic retail works. You might have to wait a year or even two years before you see a dramatic decrease from current prices, though. I would say if you want to buy a blu-ray drive, then go for it if you can afford it. I'm pretty sure blu-ray has won the format war, although it's still possible hd-dvd will come back, but unlikely.
  17. £250 to put towards some new computer stuff. (graphics card, psu, sound card, mouse, not necessarily buying all of them) And other small things.
  18. Please the already existing topic. Something isn't quite right about that link... hmmm Locked, Pryomancer.
  19. You only put the code at the end of the url in. Remove all the http://www.youtube.com/blahblahblah, and just have the code. Edit: awesome, i just put in blahblahblah as an example, but it turns out to be a real channel!
  20. It's been deleted. :(
  21. http://java.com/en/download/windows_xpi ... ava.com:80 Download the latest version of Java, that might help.
  22. Hit the windows key and R to bring up run, type DXDIAG and hit enter. The tabs will be along the top.
