  1. I think we're capable of having a discussion without insulting Jewish people. If I were Jewish I'd be offended if they actually advocated Hitler's actions, but from what I can tell, they don't.
  2. To add to what Das has said: Microsoft has just released the patch for all supported versions of Windows. http://www.microsoft.com/protect/computer/updates/bulletins/200812_oob.mspx
  3. Please use that thread for all introductions. Locked, Pryomancer.
  4. What I'm interested in is all the idiosyncrasies that will develop in the game. I'll use RuneScape as an example here. Why is it that Falador Park in world 2 became the place to sell everything? Why are worlds 1 and 2 the most popular, why not other worlds? Why was world 66 (I think) the world for law running? Things like this, things that no-one can really predict, they just happen due to players and groups evolving over time. I think it's quite interesting, and with an mmo so different from the rest of the market, we'll see some really unique behaviour.

I think telling someone you like or dislike their art is a good thing at least. Some people don't really understand art and can't give detailed criticism, but I don't think it's fair to keep them from voicing their opinion about it. People know what they like, even if they don't know about it. I couldn't build a sports car, but I still appreciate the effort and skill that went into designing it.
  7. I don't really like it, although it is pretty good considering it's inverted. Obviously there are ways to make inverted stuff look good, but you'll agree that 90% of the time it looks rubbish or isn't used properly.
  8. Try googling something like 'iambigbrother removal' or similar, there are probably people trying to do the same or have found the solution for it.
  9. To add to that, if you do ever find you are editing the registry, always make a backup, even pro users do this, you never know what you might break.
  10. It looks like the smudging has been inverted. It doesn't work, plus the smudging is pretty bland.
  11. You shouldn't mess with the registry if you don't even know what it is. I'm not poking fun or anything, but deleting just one wrong thing can totally screw up your pc.
  12. It belongs in this forum, you posted in the Website Corrections one.
  13. Vauxhall cars are very popular here, their smaller models like the Corsa are the most common choice for a first car.
  14. Very true. I remember when I downloaded Apophysis once, to make fractals I just went nuts until it looked nice.

Although they don't help artistically, I like it when people tell me that my work is good, it gives me a morale boost, and might inspire me to make something else.
  16. This looks better than the other sig you've shown us. If you have a few sigs to show at one time, put them in the same thread instead of making a different one for each sig.
  17. It looks pretty cool. However I think the centre render should be bigger, don't be limited by the canvas space. Also the renders look pretty out of place against the background, try blending them to give better flow.
  18. Actually, Ford's probably going to be fine. They'll take a hit for sure, but will definitely survive. I could care less about GM and Chrysler. Are you serious? GM is huge. It's the parent company of Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GM Daewoo, GMC, Holden, Hummer, Opel, Pontiac, Saab, Saturn, Vauxhall, and Wuling. If GM goes then say goodbye to cheap cars and cheap running, since spare parts will become expensive, and the depreciation of a car purchase will be huge, you'll probably lose more than 50% in just 18 months.
  19. I've heard the macbook air is terrible, but a macbook or macbook pro sounds like what you are looking for.
  20. I think you're probably asking more than what we can help you with. Only DH has any real experience with vector and Illustrator, I know can barely find my way around it. You should really try a dedicated graphics forum, you'll get a much better response there.
  21. It looks alright. I'd say make those lines going through the text about half as thick. There's a rule in typography that if you cut a letter/word in half lengthways, always keep the top half, as it's still possible to read. Try it with lines half as thick, and then try it without the lower part of the text showing.
  22. This is out on DVD now, but if you like a movie that's different to your usual Hollywood drivel, try 'In Bruges'. It's a fantastic film, soon to be a classic.
  23. 7700 layers would actually destroy my computer.
