  1. Digital art is my passion. I use Photoshop CS2, I also have a Wacom tablet. Give me a pencil and paper and I'm useless. Real life doesn't have a ctrl+z. :(
  2. Did they come out with the new quest or something?
  3. For a beginner I think it's better to start out with renders and 3d models etc. It gives you a good feel for Photoshop and composition, layers etc. Using stocks and other advanced methods can be pretty overwhelming for someone who's just started. Personally I'd be happy that people wanted to use a 3d model that I'd made, I'd be interested to see how they use it. (If I did make stuff like that.)
  4. Moved. It's currently flat, add some shadows and highlights to it.

Your budget probably isn't high enough for the sort of guitar you seem to want, something like a Les Paul or a Gibson SG. Your best bet is to talk to people you know who have guitar experience and get them to recommend one. Or go to a music shop and ask one of the workers, especially in small specialist music shops, they should know what they are talking about and will be able to assist you well.
  6. This. If there was a cap on how much we could earn, the jobs that should have been paid much higher for won't get done, because people think, 'well no point being a lawyer or surgeon, I can just do a normal managerial job and get paid what I would for those jobs'.
  7. As well a massive bags under your eyes, grey hair and chain smoking.
  8. A decent free online rpg, like RuneScape, but aimed at adults, I'm tired of all their filters and rules to protect the kids younger than 13 which shouldn't technically be playing in the first place. I'd like lots of swearing, blood and guts, genuine wit and clever dialogue.
  9. Video games are a release and a place to experience things that we wouldn't see in real life. Stuff like violence satisfies the natural morbid obsession that everyone has, seeing dead bodies and slicing people up etc. Plus it feels good to kill things, even if they are virtual.
  10. I never knew Comic Cans was so hated, I almost used it for a webpage once. :o I'm tempted to get a t-shirt of 'Ban Comic Sans'.
  11. It looks much better with the new background. To blend it, lower the opacity slightly, only to like 80%. Then use a brush to cover the outline of the render, in layers in front of and behind it. Also try duplicating the layer, placing it behind the original and using the smudge tool to smudge it around a bit.
  12. I thought when you have a fullscreen application like a game running on one screen, you can't use the other one, it's just black? I remember someone said that before.
  13. Yes that's what's happened. Links to the RSOF have been filtered as that's how the recent scam posters are operating. If you need to link to the official forums, I believe there's a quick find code you can use to link to the thread, which you must go to the forums yourself to access, so it is 100% safe.
  14. Won't it put a lot more strain on your graphics card and processor, since it has to render roughly twice the screen space it normally would?
  15. All the signs are that it is a filter. Look at the edges, they are pixelated and uneven, if he used the pen tool it would be smoother. Also for someone who has just tried vectors for the first time, it looks a bit too detailed. I would expect it to be simpler.
  16. That picture of the can that says 'bottled water' on it. [hide=][/hide]
  17. You should try to meet her in person if that's possible, as in you know each other in real life. That way you can physically stop her if she does try anything. Also, I'd like to note something. On a similar topic we had in the past, some people were incredibly insensitive and saying terrible things and egging the person on. I'd like to say if this happens again I will not hesitate to hand out bans, it is disgusting behaviour.
  18. I'd like to learn AS and Flash, pretty essential if I want to be a web developer. Try pixel2life, it probably has some tutorials of a decent quality.
  19. She didn't but I did. Off-Topic died a little inside.
  20. PS7 was awesome, that's when Photoshop became good. I had Photoshop 6, it was a nightmare. If I remember rightly you couldn't change the size of your brush.
  21. That's for me to know and you to flame somebody so you can find out. :
  22. It's not what would be considered a 'proper' signature. It looks like you taken a lightning brush and but it on a green background, with some dodge and burn brushes being used around it. The traditional signature contains a background, a render (a picture) and some text. It's more complicated than that, but those are the basics. Don't get discouraged, keep trying and look around the Gallery for some inspiration from other users. Try looking at ThruItAll, Soa, Yaff and some others, they have good design skills that will show you what a proper signature looks like.
  23. Looks like the Threshold filter then you've coloured in the patches by eye droppering from the original. A real vector is made using (on Photoshop) the pen tool to create each shape individually.
