I had that problem before on an old computer, I fixed it just by minimizing and then opening up the window again a few times until the game came back. A short term fix if it does work.

This is why we can't just wordfilter the scam website, because the scammer uses the technique that DenUsynlige just showed us. The forum filters words in the post that we all see, not what happens when we go to edit the post. The best I can hope for is just to educate everyone so no-one gets tricked by it.

I don't think it's a virus, they just save what you entered as your username/password, then steal your account.

The message usually looks like this: As you can see there is a link at the bottom, this looks like a link to the Official RuneScape Forums, however it is not! If you hover over the link, look at the bottom of your browser, you will see where the link actually takes you to. In these scam posts the link will take you to a fake RuneScape site, which is designed to look like the real thing. THIS SITE WILL STEAL YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU ENTER YOUR PASSWORD!! Please make sure you check all suspicious links, and like JaGEx say all the time, never ever enter your RuneScape password anywhere that doesn't say 'www.runescape.com' in the address bar. Sorry, unfortunately your account has been stolen. We've had this link posted around the forums for a few days now, we keep banning people but more come. The scammer disguises the link to pretend it's going to the official forums, but it actually goes to a fake RuneScape site which steals your account after it tells you to log in. The best thing you can do is try to recover your account and change the password immediately.
