'He is a drooling moron', uses 'is' because it's the singular. So really it's ironic that you think he's the moron because you think he made a grammatical error, when he actually didn't. I was at the shops only like an hour ago. In the queue in front of me was a couple who'd obviously just come from the pub (only across the road). The woman was trying to scan a banana in the self-serve machine, and the guy was like :wall:. He said, 'just stuff it up your sleeve they'll never know', and to prove his point he grabbed a 4 pack of beer and put it up his jumper. Then he was like, 'hey watch me watch me look at this', then walked out. I was like, 'hmm', then paid for my stuff and left.

The actual Sun has flares coming off it, and an aura. Like this one: [hide=][/hide] I know this one is green, it's just been shot in ulta-violet light. Look at the swirls and currents on the surface, try to emulate that. The Sun has a huge magnetic field, you can see it there in the solar flares, capturing that would be cool as well.

Don't be discouraged, I think it's pretty good for someone who's just started. The best advice I was given as an artist was to always draw what you see, not what you think you see. If I hadn't seen it before, I'd know this was a pixel of the sun. Try doing some textures next, do a little brick wall or something with moss growing on it.

It's not really a case of being good, as such, it just takes a lot of patience. Pixels can take ages.

Generally, people frown upon using the spray can. It's preferred if you do it pixel by pixel.

I would like to complain about ThruItAll, I think he is a noob and a troll. I would like to see him mocked and possibly jeered at. Throwing rotten eggs and removing cookie privilages are optional.

Try using golden proportion, too. Choose the height of your canvas, and multiply it by 1.618, and make that number the width. This number was found by the Greeks, I think. You'll notice that a golden proportioned canvas looks so much warmer, more natural and more inviting than one that is just a 2:1 ratio.
