  1. Well since everyone else is doing it, and I've always been interested in typography. [hide=][/hide] It's still not what I envisioned. The background is a quick run to see what it looks like on something other than black. The profile shot is the best really, it gives the largest and flattest areas to work with. I tried isometric and other angles but the text just gets too distorted to read. ---------------------------- OK I've spent a few hours working it, I took Nadril's idea of a photo background. [hide=][/hide] ---------------------------- Added in the filler text which was suggested. Think it looks pretty good. [hide=][/hide]
  2. Illustrator gives the best flexibility for resizing it commericially etc. and t-shirts. :P That's a pretty tricky job, if I'm honest, professional designers get paid a lot to do this for bands.
  3. These are still typography, just not really the best examples, and not as creative as it could be.
  4. Correct. Typography is all about the structure and style of letters, a typosig doesn't mean a canvas plastered with lots of random phrases. Typography I think, is probably the most creative style, it forces you to do something completely unexpected and original.
  5. This looks like a picture the Hubble Telescope took of the 'Giant Freaky Space Hand Nebula'. I wouldn't really call it a space scene, it looks too filtered, you can see the mosaic effect, it looks out of place. An explosion wouldn't have facets like that. Is the hand a stock, or did you draw it yourself? Did you use a... plastic wrap filter for the middle part? :|
  6. Now I've laughed at an argument in this thread.
  7. Another part of Resident Evil 2 was when I ran out to face a group of lickers with my shotgun. I jumped out like "rar!" *click click click*, I was out of ammo. I almost had a heart attack.
  8. Reminds me of a bit in Resident Evil 2. There's a part in the police station when you walk around a corner, and the licker crawls across the window on the other side. It scared the hell out of me, and there is a door right there to lead on to the next area. Let's just say that door waited a long time to be opened. :ohnoes:
  9. I'm a mod, I (and the rest of the mods) have to deal with reports of people arguing all the time. #-o
  10. When Samus takes *her* helmet off at the end of Metroid. No-one guessed that was coming. Also, I was scared the whole time I played Bioshock. Seriously. I didn't even complete it, I traded it in to get COD4. :)
  11. Fire by Arthur Brown I saw it on Top Of The Pops 2 earlier today, it's been stuck in my head since. :)
  12. Native is English, I can't speak any others. I don't really have any interest in learning other languages, I have no need to. Although I would like to learn Italian, I think that would be pretty cool. And Klingon.
  13. I have Vista Home Premium and it has the remote desktop ability. :?
  14. As long as you give full credit to JaGEx and don't sell your work for any sort of financial gain then it will be fine.
  15. Nice photos. Is your cat the icanhascheezburger cat? Please let it be.
  16. I don't want to hijack the thread, but newegg doesn't ship to England, can someone recommend a decent site that is similar to newegg but ships to England too? As for the OP's question, look for Vista Home Premium with 2GB RAM, a 2.4GHz+ processor, and I'm not really sure what kind of video card. That will probably be about £500, maybe less. I got a desktop slightly better (prebuilt though) that this about a year and a half ago for £700.
  17. Closing new user registrations was suggested, but really it's only a small number of accounts, and the mods are great at acting fast to get the posts out of public view. There's really no need.
  18. Runescape Name: Pryomancer F2P
  19. Green Onions, it's addictive.
  20. The joke is that the image is terrible, but he still says it's better than the OP's comics, when it isn't (only just). I don't like explaining jokes. :|
  21. That's pretty nice, it looks professional. Reminds me of that app that was just a gold (?) button, it didn't do anything but cost like $1000, so you could buy it and just know that you were rich enough to afford a virtual button.
