My name Mak_1027 is just my initials and my b-day ...not very original, but easy to remember. I kept this name in RS because I have been using it for years in other games I have played and on all forums I am active on, so if I run into anyone from another forum, they'll know who I am.

I'm not being naive .....I realize younger kids are all going to want to check out the 18+ world ...the point is there will be nothing to be gained in this world ....it will be the same exact runescape ....no naked characters running around....The Fally party room will not be turned into the Fally orgy room ....the censors will not be turned off, so butt will still be **** ...... What I think is once the younger crowd realizes it is a world like any other, but it has a bunch of old farts (in their eyes anyway), talking about old fart stuff they will get bored and go back to whatever world they usually go to.

In f2p either go right behind the general store in lumby where people kill goblins, across the river in lumby to the cow pasture or any chicken farm...people always take cowhides/feathers and leave the bones

It doesn't have to be officially enforced, hopefully it would just be self enforced. If you designate a world 18 or over, hopefully younger or less mature players will get bored and go to other worlds. It is really no different than any of the other theme worlds. For example, the Falador party room world ....go there and the party room is packed, where on other worlds it is nearly deserted ...that is not to say if you go to this world, you must go to the party room On an 18+ world, hopefully the majority of people would be over 18 and there can be intelligent chat at the mines, rather than just asking lvls? ....Maybe when I quote a funny line from a movie from the 80's , more than 1 person will get the joke. I don't know....just my opinion. I love RS, and will continue to play regardless ...I have met many nice people whom I can chat with, but as I said, I am 40 and sadly given the number of predators on the internet I worry that my interest in this game and conversations I have with people whose age I do not know could be misinterpreted by some people. I usually am pretty quiet when I play and if someone does strike up a conversation and I get the sense they are very young I will tell them my age ...and then get the standard "You're old...why do you play RS ...get a life!" It would be nice to play in a world where there are older people who realize that 40 isn't dead yet, and us old folks can enjoy a game.

Exactly what I was thinking, plus it's against the rules. >.< Don't you think they are already doing that, pedophiles do not need to be told who the children are, sadly they are pretty good at figuring it out. I am in favor of this idea because I am an older player. I am 40 yrs old, and yes I have a life (job, hubby, 2 kids, dog,rl friends, house,etc.) but I still enjoy gaming. I think it would be nice to play without people asking me to be their gf. It freaks me out when people in game are hitting on me, and I know full well they are probably between the ages of 13 - 18, if not younger, it almost makes me feel as if I am the pedophile. As a mother I would not feel comfortable with my 13 yr old child having an online relationship with a 40 year old whom I did not know, and therefore don't feel comfortable doing the same to other peoples' children. In my opinion the worlds would not have to be that age specific, perhaps a few worlds designated as 18 or older ....sure younger kids would sneak in at first, but hopefully the novelty would wear off and you would be left with a world of older players. As far as lifting the censors in the mature world goes, I don't think that would be necessary. Sure it would be nice to just say what you want, but typing out your words gives you that second to think before you speak which doesn't often happen with live speech, so use that second to think of something other than a swear to say.

Thanks everyone for your advice ....have been hopping worlds like mad getting what coal I can ...found that the numbers of miners drops pretty good around 1 am eastern time ...lol ...right now I am at level 51, so 9 more to go and I can go in the guild.

Okay....I am f2p and have as of late started mining coal and iron to make steel ....the iron is not a problem, but the coal is another thing altogether. I have had good experiences where I will be mining 4 rocks, someone comes along and I then split the rocks with that person, if a 3rd person comes, we each take 1 and the 4th rock is fair game....you get the idea, everybody gets their coal, we usually have some nice chat whilst we wait for the rocks to regenerate and then we leave when we are full. Then there are the rude ones who see you mining and just jump onto the same rock you are mining ...sometimes you get the ore and sometimes you don't....when you suggest to them splitting the rocks they can be rude and basicallly immature about it. I guess what I'm wondering is: 1)is there any generally accepted etiquette? 2)what do you do in these situations? 3)Are the P2P worlds any better? I am considering a membership just to play with people that may be a little more mature, but not sure if it is the same everywhere.

When I first started I didn't realize you could only be pk'd in the wild .....so I spent the first few days running, hiding, and killing rats and goblins trying to avoid everyone who was a higher lvl than me (which of course was pretty much everyone) , just waiting for someone to attack me :ohnoes:

I was killing in the SoS the other night for about 3 hours and was getting randoms on a regular basis ...in 3 hours I got Drill Demon Mime Maze Evil Twin Pinball Bob the Cat twice The Box thing This was on the first level, killing the lower level minotaurs.

I'm f2p and I make pretty good money selling rune ess at the varrock east bank and selling steel bars or just selling coal .If you are lvl 60 you can mine in the guild so there is plenty of coal.
