White line=Your attempt to establish flow Pink line=Line of action of render See how it conflicts with your C4d? No flow line should cross the line of action. Remember that you build the sig to fit the render. Use the line of action as your key to establish proper flow. Trace it out if you need to.
  2. *smacks with newspaper* Don't use cruddy MS Paint starter colors! Use your own colors instead, and pick shades that aren't as saturated.
  3. it only gives me save as bitmap or png, i need gif for transparency right? i guess uno needs to send me the file then. Just click on your sig space, then click Save As... PNG. pngs can be transparent as well.
  4. thanks, thats awesome. ill probably wind up using them both. you know where i can get a sig rotator by chance? I think uzzisoft.com has a sig rotating service.
  5. Awh, no luv for eleven? That one gets my vote because it's clearly the best one on there! 2, though well done, is boring and nothing I haven't seen before. 5 looks like it's.. barfing, or something. 13.. it's a nice sig but it's too overdone. The pen tool(?) scribbles are a bit much...
  6. I'm glad you like it. : And thankies for the gifts, I can always use more of those. :D Here's the centered one. If you like it better, feel free to use it instead.
  7. Oh em gee you didnt use propr anatomies!! :shame: I actually quite like your style. It's different.
  8. I can has thanks plox? : Note:This was sort of an experiment with transparency. If you don't like how the plane is placed, please tell me so I can change it.
  9. Self-promotion, much? Muhahahaha! First Tip.it, then WORLD DOMINATION! As for the tag.. it's too saturated.
  10. *smacks with newspaper* Do not cheat by using Spray can tool! :shame:
  11. Sigh.. you have several conflicting points in this sig. Try to pick renders and effects that face in he same direction...
  12. Sigh... flow really isn't as hard of a concept as you think it is. Here is a sig that uses flow effectively.(that I scribbled on, of course). It's a collab siggy by Julius and littleboy that won the last sig of the month competition. The pink lines indicate the "line of action" of the image, creating movement. Your eyes follow the areas indicated by the pink lines, making it a much more interesting and artistically sound piece to look at. To create flow, most beginners use brushing. You can find good brushes for gimp on places like DeviantArt and such. However, then you have your Samus sig... Well I can't get my example pic to work for some reason. But imagine a white line running straight through Samus. Instead of being fluid, it is stiff, straight and just plain boring. Furthermore, you overuse the stained glass(I think?) filter...
  13. A) Just use the eyedropper tool in the tool bar. Then, click on the area with the color you want. Next, draw or color with the brush/pen/paintbucket tool, and you'll get the color on the page. B)There is no way to truly save custom palettes in MS Paint. However, you can simply stick samples of the colors you want to use in the image. Align then next to each other in a row from lightest to darkest to keep things orderly. Then, simply save the file. When you want to work on it again, use the eyedropper tool to select which color you want from the list.
  14. Wow... my little convention has grown into a full blown fad! *is totally surprised* As for advice... A) Bright colors burn eyes B) Try to establish at least some "flow" in your siggies. By this I mean pick a direction for eyes to follow and direct all action(scribbles, effects, C4Ds, ect.) along that invisible line.
  15. *smacks with newspaper* Remember what I said about the text!
  16. Ok I'll keep on working on it :, yet the whole goal on this signature was to be a bit random and abstract. *smacks with newspaper* Abstract does not equal random! Great abstract siggy have things like color, flow, good lighting... Randomness in general is just bad.
  17. Meh, It's a bit too bright. The text looks bad too... Remember to cut out anything you don't absolutely need(i.e the text)
  18. *taps with newspaper* Sometimes, less is more.

Meh. I've always found that center focal points bore me. And what's with the gigantic plus sign?? Other than that... I like the colors.

  21. Sorry for the late reply, I've been busy lately these days. This is what I have so far- It should be finished by Saturday at the latest, I think.
  22. Wow... he actually used it?!
  23. *smacks with newspaper* That's what you get for not being specific!!!
  24. Your problem is is your using way too many conflicting perspective points in one drawing! I know you want the chair up against a blank wall, but adding in a hallway helps define the vanishing point. Consider the following pic that I white lined. ..and a example from real life, also white lined. Furthermore, I'd suggest you pick a different color for either the floorboards or the chair. Or, you can outline the chair in a slightly-darker color.
