Forgive me but... there's way to many colors in the background for you to have shaded it yourself... ...you didn't use a gradient, did you?? -.-

First Pixel - Help! (Wizard of Oz Pixel WIP Inside - V3)
Ooh, that nice... that really nice! I <3 those gold bricks to death! And that grass... so lovely! ^.^ Thread hijacking, much?? -.- Oh, and on a completely off topic note... Your egg has soft-shell, Gigajie, so you'll probably want to fog that sucker before it dies.

Pixel Sig WIP, need some advice
Gah! My eyes, it burrnzz us! :wall: The Seven Comandments: 1. Thou shall not use the shoddy base colors given to thee in paint. Use the Edit-Color function instead. 2. Thou shall not dither unless dithering is needed. Legs are like cylinders and not like tables! 3. Thou shall not simply stick the sun in a corner. The sun is an orb, not a pie wedge. 4. Thou shall not disregard perspective. Objects in front are closer than those far away, and I don't think you want your guy to be eleven stories tall, as he appears to be. 5. Thou shall not disregard anatomy either. If you are new to pixeling, it is best to start with inanimate objects. If not, there are plenty of human-anatomy tutorials on your Deviantart. 6. Thou shall add textures to every object they see. Leave no blank spaces of color, unless you want things to appear flat. The sun burns with a scorching flame, the oceans churns with waves, and grasses sway in a gentle breeze. 7. Thou shall remember that the color of the sky grows lighter and less-saturated towards the horizon. NOTE:Disregard this if you weren't aiming for realism.

first pixel
A chicken is not a chicken dinner. A pixel is much more than the sum of it's parts. All the parts have to work in concordance with each other in order for the final product to actually be worth something. Creativity doesn't count for anything if you can't make everything work in harmony. As you can see, I'm still here, If you need help. My Suggestions- -Restart using a smaller canvas, like Jopie said. An avatar size(100x100) -Make the pixel using no other program but MS Paint. You don't need to know how to use layers till much later. -Use your own colors. By this I mean create colors using the Edit->Custom colors function -Try not to rely on shape tools since they look choppy and unnatural. -If you need help with anything, just ask! We're here to help, and if you need example picts I can make some for you in Paint. As for you subject, pick an object you like. Some thing small and inanimate like, oh a carrot.

Renders
I think you actually cut 1/16th of an inch off Superman's hair... -.-

[cabbage] tags.
Well they're not bad... but they're not exactly good either. First- I think this one is a little odd.. the sharp dashes of light look like knives, and the puffs of red look like blood stains. Not sure exactly what look you're going for here... perhaps emo? Second-This has some of the same issues as the first. I suggest you find a theme and stick to it... I'm not a fan of the little blue-stripey thingies flying about. Third- Best here, but it still has a few kinks. The C4Ds aren't very easy on the eyes... Paticulary the big black one on his shoulder. Verdict= 1st- 6/10 kittens 2nd- 7/10 kittens 3rd- 7.5/10 kittens

A Pixel
Disagree about the lava, I think its perfectly fine. Also, due to the sig trying to show the depth of the fall into the lava, I believe the layout is fine, the horizon isn't needed. Some contrast along the background would be excellent. I just think a larger size would make it better, allowing for bigger characters, with more detail, but you did a good job. He's got it right on the perspective. I do agree the cliff may be a bit strange, but horizon wouldn't have worked well with trying to look down into the lava. Most other things I agree on, and will take that into mind. Thank you for the C/C, everyone. oh wait, is that a canyon? I thought it was a burning forest.... :wall: In that case, no horizon line but more contrast, like Mr. Hiimben says.

New Signature CHICKA CHICKA YEA
In a "the guy actually thought we were stupid enough to believe he made this himself" sort of way. If you're going to rip, at least be intelligent enough to remove the guy's insignia...

New Signature CHICKA CHICKA YEA
That isn't cool at all... Do you have any other idea how long it took to make that? Or how much effort and skill was used? I think not. So, I have a little task for you. 1. Open up paint 2. Switch to the pencil tool 3. Cover the canvas in black dots. You can't use the Paint can tool, and you must pixel ONE dot at a time, no scribbling. I can guarantee that, after doing this, you'll never feel like ripping pixel art again. People like you MAKE. ME. SICK. Plus, a real artist of this skill caliber won't put a ugly white box over his work with eye-burning red text....

Yet Another Dragon Platemail concept!
I spy a few issues in your perspective(the foot) and your proportions. The thighs are too short as well.

A Pixel
What's with this "very very good for paint" gibberish?! There are many phenomenal pixel sigs out there, and yet still the general public has such low expectations for MS Paint. It takes a good artist to make anything good with Photoshop, and this is no different for Paint. The Paint artist, however, simply has more patience. ^.^ As for the siggy before me, I'll say a few things. First, you need to add some anti-aliasing. It's hard to explain this in words, but there is many anti-alaising guides on DeviantArt and the Net you can use. Second, it would be better if you had a defined horizon line, and a vanishing point. Thirdly, your lava is too saturated-use less bright colors! You earnt- Seven kitties of ten.

FINISHED? Pixel sig-Nodies!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love the shading you have on the Bandos(right?) armor, it smexy...

Pixel Potion Critique
You need to randomize your shading a bit(less bars) on the liquid, or use more similar colors. As you can see in the pic below, you should probably go darker and less saturated on the edges, with a few little square patches of green and bright white adjacent from each other. The top of the liquid should probably reflect the ceiling. http://www.wineenthusiast.com/images/pr ... /p644b.jpg

Ignite'd [Pixel] [WIP]
The dragon's head is a bit big, and the right arm is at a rather odd angle... Where exactly is your horizon line...? Oh, and generally there's a flap of skin connecting the first part of the arm(where it's connected to the belly) to the second(where it's connected to the leg)

Seasonscape
Summer- -it's a bit grainy -Colors are oversaturated Winter -Err.. doesn't it snow in winter?? Unless you're in the tropics or something.. Autumn -I'm not sure I like how the leaves are like, part of the rock... -I think you have too much yellow in your colors.. Spring -Once again, too much yellow -Not much difference between spring and summer.. Overall, you get 8/10 kitties. As for the sig.. isn't Spiderman supposed to have a red suit..?

NintendoDS 3D render FINISHED!!
Looks good so far I think. You've all ready listed everything that's wrong with it... What kind are you doing, the Lite or regular? Because I'm pretty sure the Lite ones don't come in gray... Do you plan to put anything on the screens?

~CLOSED UNTILL FURTHER NOTICE~
Oh heavens no! I rather like my landscape actually. I just want to fix the bear so he'll match it in excellence.

~CLOSED UNTILL FURTHER NOTICE~
Sigh... the mountains don't have to move though. It is indeed true that my bear looks as if it is carved from stone. I shall start again, because I've got a good chunk of time to be wasted.
