Hmm... They all look very busy, to be honest... the first is best, but the others just have too much there, and too many colors... the second one is indeed the worst, but really I think you're trying too hard to make your work seem advanced. Do remember that it isn't the number of effects or the difficultly of using them but the effect they make when put together that makes the siggy. 1. 8/10 kittens 2. 6.5/10 kittens 3. 7/10 kittens 4. 7.5/10 kittens

...yes, but sometimes you get circles with big ugly corners on them.. The one on the left was drawn by hand, and the one on the right was made with the circle tool... Honesty, which one looks better? The rectangle tool is fine I guess, but I'd personally avoid the circle tool at all cost. The computer may be good at math, but you're not doing geometry homework, now are yeh? You are entitled to your own opinions, but I respectfully disagree.

'tis the group of buttons betwixt the paint can and the option box. If you use 'em, you can click+draw and create a circle, rectangle, or other 3-sided shape. However, these shapes are generally not too pleasing to the eye, 'specially the circle. Since the computer relies only on mathematical formulas to develop an approximation for a circle(you can't have a perfect circle in paint), the resulting mess looks pixelly and terrible.

Don't EVER use the shape tools in MS Paint. It's cheating, and it looks unnatural... You get Eight Kittens Out Of Ten.

I'd thought I'd might as well make a gallery of my stuff so there woudln't be like, 50 loose topics floating about. So yeah... I am a pixel artist, as most of you know. I was just saying that if you had to resize something, it would be better to draw big, then make it smaller other than to draw smaller, then make it big.

Ooh, this looks fun. One question though... can you pixel things yourself?

This is what I have so far-

Your shading needs work 'specially the hair. The neck could use some evening out as well. Other than that, this is better than most of the first pixels we get around here. You seemed to have actually tried. This earns yeh 7 kittens of ten. (LOVE the avy, by the way...)

Second in a month? Not very busy these days, are yeh? Personally, you have way too much going on in here. The green bar I don't like either, it doesn't fit. You win seven and a half kitties of ten.

Draw big, then resize it to small. The other way around just looks terrible... You need more contrast in your colors as well.
