Grrr! People keep yelling at me for "item scamming" and stuff. Could we actually get banned doing this? I mean you know, by mistake? EDIT: Changing your clothes doesn't work, I've tried it. Well, not with all the greens, but they don't look like flax greens. :(

Something tells me someone'll report me (wrongly) and Jagex will think I was luring, and I'll be banned. It's not fair. :(

He said he didn't report me, but you never know with some people. I mean, clearly Jagex is doing nothing about the bots, and besides, if I want to leave a mysterious trail of flax down to the bats that just happen to kill level 3s, then so be it. :P

I was just watching a video about how to kill flax picking autoers, and I was wondering, what world(s) are they in? I've checked all the major members worlds, and I can't find any, I can't even find any regular human flax pickers! Where are they? Thanks.

This next story isn't that funny but I've had people come out to me while I was powermining and tell me to give them all my iron, and then they said to report me. :P So yeah, noobs say the funniest things. :D

I've solved the problem of noobs taking your yews! Just log onto world 16 with all the air runners, and I can almost guarntee you that every person at those trees will be autoers, and be level 3. EDIT: I'm also experimenting with other yew log-colored items, such as iron ore, because I don't have my rune axe because I'm a F2Per that used to be a member and I couldn't bank my rune axe so I sold it and just power mined for a while. Anyway, I got a bronze axe but that didn't work and I didn't know that all the autoers were in world 16 because other noobs kept taking my logs. So I'm out of logs and experimenting with iron ore. I'll let you all know how it goes. EDIT AGAIN: Yeah, the iron doesn't seem to be working all too well... Hey, I tried. :)

It's rare to find good grammar and spelling online these days. And yes, I know, some people don't speak English as their native language and/or have a medical condition that prevents them from typing well, but even then those people still type very well. A few abbreviations don't bother me, but when I'm on the RuneScape forums, I almost never see people who type well. It's a little more harsh in-game, but it's never too bad. Well, it's always bad on a F2P world.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. Jagex knows it was an accident, and they'll see he was breaking the rules anyway. As long as you don't do it multiple times just to annoy someone. You'll be fine. It happens to me sometimes, too.

Yes, Sal's Realm is totally safe. I don't use it much at all, but I have a couple of times. Just don't go on any sites that try to get you to real world item trade or ones that ask for your password. And while some sites might have ads for RuneScape gold, just don't click on them, and you're fine. That's how those sites make money, and unfortunately, some people click the ads and get scammed into giving away their password. :( But they don't pick the ads, they get picked by an ad service. The method is called "contectual advertising" and whatever you write about is what your ads are about. Some people just don't bother to take out the bad ones.

That IS weird. Are you sure your keyboard is okay? It might be a few stuck keys. Check to see if it's the same letters. If it is, it's at the hardware level. If it's not, then you're probably just lagging. Good luck.

No, I don't think we did. And it all really matters whether they even reported us or not. There were only, like, two people there; the rest were autoers. And you can really only report for using an auto, and it's clear we weren't. I guess if you come out and say you do, but then again, Jagex needs to have proof.

Nope. I was just explaining how they identified the colors of the pixels and that's how they do it, while he was talking about ones that need to be programmed automatically. (I think the ones that identify colors are more popular.)

I was talking to a few yew cutters (real people) and telling them that the yews were for the autoers and to please not take them. This one guy kept taking them and then went on to explain how autoers worked. He talked about the ones you program and I talked about the ones that click on color. Could either of us get banned for that? We weren't autoing, just having a tiny discussion about them. Help? Thanks.

Perfect! The Tip.it calculators are nice, but sometimes it gets annoying to have to change windows, and keep clicking "Tip me!" after power mining another load of iron. :)

Defenitely one of the best, most original RuneScape ideas ever! I think I even read once that sometimes the Gowers page through the Tip.it forums looking for suggestions for RuneScape. This may just be a false memory, but I'm pretty sure I've read it somewhere. They come over here sometimes (if they do at all) to look at suggestions and stuff probably because you can post pictures and the like. RuneScape's Suggestions Forums would be a lot better with pictures, but I can understand that they worry about viruses and that's a good thing.

Sound appealing? It does to me. Picture this. You wake up in the morning, and you get on RuneScape. All of your skills are over 70, and you've worked hard to get where you are. You log in for a nice, quiet day of skilling but are met with "OMGZORZ n00b give me ur st00f or my dad will ban uuu, my dad is andrew gowder!!11" and "omg ur a noob u prayer noob i kuld take u in da wildeeness noobzorz!!" Every day more and more immature kids/autoers/immature autoing kids sign up for RuneScape and spam, curse, scam, and bother us to no end. Luckily, Jagex comes to save the day! \ \ \ But what will Jagex do, you might ask? When will he tell us his suggestion, you might also ask? :P I believe Jagex needs to create specialty worlds for people. I believe Jagex should watch over people's accounts for a while and examine their past histories, and eventually, make a decision as to whether these people belong in their own specialized worlds. They wouldn't get these worlds all to themselves, there would be others just like them. Others who got to escape the regular RuneScape life and are now free to play RuneScape without the burdensome players going "nooob noooob frooby chooby nooby choob loops is wat u r nooooooob!" This idea is still in it's early stages, and I wanted to post it before someone else did, :), but I think it would work. There would be about 5 or so worlds, each holding 2,000 people like every other world, only there are certain people who can log on to these worlds. These worlds are populated by people Jagex has deemed mature enough to play on. These people could log on to other worlds, too, but only they can log onto these worlds. It sounds kind of harsh, I guess, but, for lack of a better phrase, Jagex can weed out the people who just scam or swear or whatever too much from bothering people who don't deserve to have to deal with that. I don't know, this is just wishful thinking. Jagex will probably never do this, and the idea sounds mean to me in my head, but I think it's because the sun is coming up and I haven't had any sleep. So post your thoughts/ideas and please don't flame, it only makes things worse. Thank you.

Great idea, but there's a problem with banning IPs. Some people have dynamic IPs, meaning they change every now and then (and sometimes more frequently.) I'm not sure exactly how this technology works, but just doing it by IP would probably be impossible. Jagex'd probably have to contact your ISP and ban your address and other stuff to make sure you (or at least your account) can never connect again. Because what if the IP get's reassigned or something? (I think that can happen...) Or your friend wants to get on RuneScape on your computer but can't because no one can ever play on that computer again? IP banning is difficult with dynamic IPs. You have a great idea, and it'll work as long as the technology works with it. Jagex just needs to do more IP stuff, and like I said, I may be wrong, as I'm not totally familiar with the technology.

Usually I'll listen to music through streaming video because if I open Windows Media player it'll crash FireFox. (Which eats up a stedily increasing and surprising amount of RAM) And I've tried to use the latest Windows Media Player, and that thing RAM guzzles. But I can always pop in a CD into a CD player, and when I do it's always classical. I'm particularly interested in Chopin, very specifically Fantaisie Impromptu Opus 66 or Etude Opus 10 Number 12 "Revolutionary." Two very strong songs played with fiery passion and intensity. Give them a try. You may find you like a whole new genre of music! :) :thumbsup:
