And this is the problem at the root of these requests, we all have our own little slice of heaven so even with referendums (such as 07 sees), there are still going to be people who are missing out as it were.

Runespan rates are boosted significantly if you at least semi pay attention and hunt wizards upon being called (it's what, ~40% boost in xp/h), but that I suppose depends on how liberal you are being with the application of AFK. ~5 minutes of paying attention per hour does make a heck of a difference but is certainly no match to the ZMI rates etc. I would have to agree it should be a punishable alternative - more effort should be rewarded with more xp (I was happy with the hunter/fishing pot methods because you exert a lot more effort for a disproportionate increase in xp). However, this notion of AFKables as a primary method (as well as things like Warbands which are exceptionally overpowered) really goes back to what they were speaking of when the first bot nuke came about. We didn't only want to see a reduction (elimination) of gold farming bots, but we also needed to see changes to the game that discouraged your average player from botting, say, Runecraft (ZMI) because it is "too hard". I do believe they dicked up making it the primary source of xp (as much as I love a 133m Mining year w/o lifting a pickaxe and being up to smash out Runecrafting without any level of effort) because it has driven the game towards a much more lax state, where you are in fact punished for doing more work.

The only value is intrinsic anyway, that's why we all seem to have varying opinions. On top of Divspan as a whole:- Not typically a fan of "slow" skills, but it's probably good to have another one in game. The fact it's a rehash of Runespan is a little sad, was hoping for something a lot more interactive than click 3 times/minute for the next 12000 minutes and viola. But probably the most off-putting thing is that this now - in effect, it may change at 99 with location and time to return, this is yet to be seen - makes Hunter a near lossless skill. I guess this is similar to the old Superheat mining in that regard. Tldr Not a huge fan. Want comp cape back. Cya juju hunter pots.

Why would it be bad for us to relive the glorious times and nostalgia all over the screen, even just for a fleeting moment, the almighty god of Gielnor during the most precious of times - Zezima - to once again rise to his throne atop the highscores? You'll note that not once, NOT ONCE, did I pass judgement regarding whether it's good or bad. I did, however, infer that all the people creaming themselves over it are acting like 13 year old girls at a 1D concert, rather than relishing a moment that noone thought would possibly return. Please, next time, read what I say.

Because 07Scape wasn't enough for us to relive the glorious times and nostalgia all over the screen so we require, even just for a fleeting moment, the almighty god of Gielnor during the most precious of times - Zezima - to once again rise to his throne atop the highscores. Because otherwise we'll just be stuck in a loop, continuing - for some reason - to play and think about a game we couldn't give less of a shit about. Don't worry though. When he gets Rank 1, we will have a One Direction-esque group of screaming fangirls parading around about it all.
