Well that makes it hard for an external force to really see that you truly are against it. Whilst you may have people who are on the forums vocal about their distain, the quiet majority who may stew over the update, but continue to utilise it do one thing - give Jagex the impression they like it. The best, best, best way to show your opposition is to just completely boycott, even the free spins, because that data is much more powerful. Mind you, that doesn't mean anything's going to change at all.

Using numbers in your response makes you sound authentic. I mean, no one here would believe that "the vast majority of Members" use the spin, but "90% of Members" is more believable. There are three types of lies...lies, damned lies, and statistics. Just sayin'. You shouldn't say a statistic is wrong unless you can provide a counter statistic. I must have missed the part where it was stated the statistic was incorrect. I found it rather to be a commentary on the cynicism of people in regards to the way in which arguments are formed around numbers.

I think the argument then becomes if you were truly against the wheel, you'd do something crazy, like, I don't know, not use it at all. I'm going to go out on a limb and sayh whilst a fairly large proportion of players dont buy spins, there are still enough voting with their wallets to keep jagex interesting in selling spins. If people were truly against SoF itself, rather than just the Microtransactions (or if they were feeling strongly enough) they'd have to boycott SoF in large numbers to vent their distaste. But lets face it, it's not going to happen. WHAT DID I DO :shades:

But that calls on the premise that the items of the same tag have the same likelyhood of a) appearing and b) being landed on, which I entirely doubt. It is much more likely that whilst the theoretical probability of hitting a "rare" item is "x", the probability of landing on each rare item isn't going to be x/(no. of rare items on spin). Instead, I'd wager each item has both a specific probability attached of a) being on the wheel (ie 50gp would be at nearly 100%) and b) being landed on. That, ofcourse, is reliant on ones absolute scepticism of "the system".

Gunna be pushing shit uphill to save that many bars. Based on the 15k bars I used, I saved ~1.5%, so if you manage to save 7% over that 122k, I call hax. Have you factored in that the 8% save rate is not per bar used, but per item?

On the topic of "pffft runecrafting", yesterday (well rolled overnight) was the best day for RC gains I've [ever] had (well, on record since September, but easily smashed anything before that). Punched out aa tad over 630k xp (inb4someeffigyprod). At that rate, 10 days to 99 (loljk). Anyways, I'm really enjoying RuneSpan, it has given me a serious boost in the 'race to maxcape' (note: race not being against anyone). Anywho, along the way, manged to pick up:- This is what happens when you combine wicked fast new training methods with insomnia and Bryan Cranston. SHITLOADS OF XP. And with 468k to 93, one, possibly two more levels will be smashed through this week. Considering going at RC with all guns blazing just on the off-chance they decide that Span is OP and go postal on it in a similar way to the way they treated FPF. Time will tell. Anyways, given the sudden, inexplicable burst of maxcape-itis, I've kind of been ranking skills in terms of least to most likely to occur. I'd definitely look at working on slayer as a means of training strength. Apart from that, TI and armoured zombies are decent xp with low prayer.
