  7. Decided to get uni Burned through all my golds and ~1500 crims of my stupidly large pile. Having no seconds means very little advantage on BXPW but hey, such is life, right? Then decided to finish mining goal Now, I've set up for BXPW with a max (6p, 5m, 1c, 2s) tree run, followed by logout/sleep (because it starts at ~11pm Aus) login with another tree run (5y) then making ~4k pots, crafting ~1k battlestaves, stringing ~2k ammies then pplunder til 1.1x =o Hoping for 95 herb (min) and 95 farm, possibly 84 craft.
  8. Read up and youll find out :wall:
  9. You're right, we do have a say. Our say, is either we pay or we don't. You don't like the direction the game is taking, stop paying. Outside of that, the only people who truly have a say is the people in charge. I agree customers should not be taken for granted, but again, how do we suggest pleasing everyone? Personalised updates? Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but your last sentence screams "the good old days". It seems that the problem is simply that the game has changed and isn't the way it was before. I'm sorry, but things change. Games change. Deal with it. You don't have to like the company. You are playing the game for enjoyment, not doing something to enjoy the company.
  10. Now it is run and owned by different people, with different motives. The Gower brothers no longer control the company which fostered their games, and while I can't speak for the motives they had, I'd say a strong one was to see their game being enjoyed by others. Now, with new controllers, Jagex is a profit center, with the primary motive of returning PROFITS to the shareholders. Be disappointed all you want, it's BUSINESS. 10 years. Change of leadership. Change in motives. Change in goals. If you honestly believe that no other business has done this before, that is a tad naive. Why would new owners be bound by promises made 10 years ago by previous owners, in a different environment than exists now?
  11. That is an efficiency debate I'm not getting into.

  13. [/hide] While me and others were critical of Jagex, we still thought them above such activites to drive up their membership. We are upset over them using such ploys that should be, frankly, beneath them. Perhaps I am naive for thinking they are better than they really are, but it still pains me to watch it. It's a BUSINESS. Sales happen ALL THE TIME. Stores use incentives to increase purchases ALL THE TIME. At the end of the day, profit is the highest priority. Why is this business any different? Unless you are out being hypercritical of any store using sales or gimmicks, I wonder what makes you draw a line in the sand here and say "Jagex is bad for doing it, but the others aren't".
  14. Legit players don't really care about saving $10/year? [citation needed]
  15. Botting. Botting botting botting. IS MY POST DOING IT RIGHT? As for the people who are opposed to the refer a friend programme and the sale on membership on the grounds they are penny pinching, what is going to keep you happy? It is wrong for Jagex to posture itself in the market using sales and gimmicks to attract customers, but are you opposed to other companies using similar tactics? I hope you are all raging about McDonalds continual use of such tactics with its free toys with happy meals! No, you're right. Jagex is the bad guy here. No other company has ever used marketing to attract people. inb4b7fortrolling
  16. No one can please all "everyone", including an entire player base. They can't make money [citation needed]
  17. Maples give you a higher profit margin than herbs. The variance in herbs and herb prices (being that you are getting something like 12 different types) can play big on your profit margin. That said, do whatever you prefer. Edit: That said, depends on your plans. Are you intending to use the herbs or sell up?
  18. According to RW you *can* reach up to 350k/hour at 81+ with max efficiency (good teams, quick turn around etc) at Trawler. Either try the theme world (116) or get a bunch of friends together. I found fish flingers to be a decent way to get xp. 10 games/week can get you up to 180k xp (dependent on level and getting all fish etc). I used a clan for that ("Fish Flingers" based on w89) as when they are actively doing games, they work as a team to get combos faster, improving chance of max xp
  19. Should make it into a 100% video guide for ultimate victory. tl;dr Turn hides into leather PK
  20. Bxpprod replied to Sir_Squab's topic in Rants
Or, alternatively, you should check it next time. :jussayin: That said, isn't flax meant to be solid profit from emm tee kay anyway
