  1. Merchanting won't be dead, but in f2p at least, people selling amulets/scimitars etc. will lose cash. Consumables- things like food, runes, logs etc. will be unchanged and it will be far, far easier for people to sell their goods.
  2. Does anyone know where I Mahatma I is now? I'd say I got on his bad side a fair few times...although his clan and our pking group ended up merging
  3. As a cognitive psychology student, I feel compelled to say these are a load of cabbage. O:)
  4. You owe me a high-five, I expect you to add me in-game and high-five me! What we did was train 1-40 attack on the Dummies opposite Varrock bank. Dummies gave no HP exp, therefore allowing you to gain 4 attack levels per combat level instead of 3 attack + 1 hitpoints. As we know dummies only allow you to train to level 8, but using wine you could lower your attack level, and hence, continue training at the dummies! What this meant was that you could wield Rune weapons at a combat level of around 17, if I remember correctly! The gist of it was that you sacrificed your hitpoints level for the ability to hit harder and more frequently. You would still remain "pure" (in the RSC definition) but you would only have a difference of 5-8 between HP and combat. However, this was more than made up for the fact you could hit around 11 at level 23/24! Now for all those screaming "bug abuse!!111oneone", it wasn't. It wasn't a bug, it was the system of the game. The old stats system didn't have the variable numerator/fixed denominator like it does now. The two numbers were the same variable, so that if you decreased attack, it would affect your ability to wield weapons. They changed the stat system (the current mechanism) later so that level barriers were calculated on the denominator, which remained invariable, whereas combat/damage would be affected by the variable numerator. Therefore, with the new system, once the denominative value reached 8, you couldn't use the Dummies to train.
  5. I've recently started playing RS again but am really struggling with the lingo used nowadays! I'm too old-fashioned as I quit shortly after RS2 was released but anyway... - Selling (metal) "full": apparently means full helm, legs, plate mail and kite, correct? I remember back in the day 'full' meant "large" helm, legs and plate. Arf! - "Off"- I get this said to me in the wilderness...what does it mean? - "Dd"- No idea...what the? - "Safeing"- I think this is eating 'too early'? :ohnoes:  Please and thanks for help!
  6. I signed up to this forum just to comment on this thread! I quit RS when I was 16. Last Friday, 2 and a bit years later, I started playing it again and was alarmed at the level of maturity of most players, especially in the Wilderness. There is a lot of behaviour that is plain childish and what is more noticeable is the lack of mature players, even amongst the higher-levelled characters. The difference is much much more noticeable to someone like myself who played in RSC days, quit, and came back. It's also really hard to just chat to people in the game, because they are frankly too immature. I guess the biggest problem is deindividuation. Anonymity + No Consequences = Immaturity.
