Pures, are they really so pure after all?

Well I have always wondered why people call themselves pures if in fact they really aren't?

Pure

1. free of flaws or imperfections; unsullied

2. free of foreign material or pollutants

3. free of immoral behavior or qualities; clean

So in effect wouldn't a pure have a total level of 2277?

So a "pure" of 70 atk and 99 str be an impure

Impure

1. Not pure; not clean; dirty; foul; filthy; containing something which is unclean or unwholesome; mixed or impregnated extraneous substances; adulterated; as, impure water or air; impure drugs, food, etc.

The impure gemstone was not good enough to be made into a necklace, so it was thrown out.

2. Defiled by sin or guilt; unholy; unhallowed; -- said of persons or things.

3. Unchaste; lewd; unclean; obscene; as, impure language or ideas.

discuss or give your opinions.. ::'

pure as in pure in certain skills in particular. Pure also, from another dictionary source means "unmixed with any other matter"

Meaning, they're unmixed with defence or such.

It makes sense, maybe not with THAT definition in particular, but it makes sense all the same.

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

It should be shortened to nodefub. Thats alot more interesting i think.

How would you pronounce that exactly? "Node-fub"? Or "No-De-Fub"?

Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores:

That's a interesting thought there. I never understood it, but for those Pkers (I never understood Pking either) I suppose it could be an advantage.

"N" I suppose that's ok, but I like the idea of No def ub (or nude, lol)

Pure was derived from rsc where magic gave you combat levels individually from other stats in cohesion with prayer.

All a pure was, was a character void of the imperfections that were mage and prayer, allowing your combat stats to be as high as possible at a low as possible combat.

Noob Skillls - 89 Range - 82 Magic - 78 Strength - 80 Hitpoints - 44 Prayer

-69 Combat -

-99 Cooking-

-ANTI PURE BASHER, PURE AND PROUD-

Pures are no longer "pures" if you ask me.

And they seem to find you to be any type of noob, from "deff noob" to "pray noob" to "fighting back noob".

These features have all been added in the game for players to use to their advantage, and if they don't like it when others use these features (as Prayer) simply because they aren't using them, meaning it's harder for them to take your items, well tough! They're just going to run/tele anyway.
