  1. Yeah, please post a reason for your opinions or you'll end up with the reputation of Robert. Anyway, you say torture is torture, but you still haven't proven to me that it's torture. There's no harm being done to the person it's happening to. No physical harm. I think its a little naive to say all torture is physical. It IS. Phsycological harm doesn't matter, if it gets us the information we want without killing the guy, then so be it. And you're not going to get you're information if they don't feel like they're being harmed. Tbh, stop acting like we're just grabbing random people and doing this to them. If it's happening, there's a good reason. Of course psychological harm matters! In fact, that's the part of physical torture that makes it torture! If someone didn't feel or mind about having their arm cut off, it would hardly be classified as torture, would it? Mutilation maybe, but not torture. Besides, to say that if the US says it's right means that it's undoubtedly right is a fallacy. There is no such thing as an absolute moral authority which has human (and therefore flawed) components. Read the above post.
  2. You're not doing it to innocent people now, but it's only a matter of time until it happens to an innocent person and wow, what a "we hate America" bandwagon will be going then. And that, kranked, is where I concede to you. You're absolutely right on that point.
  3. Way to miss my point, AGAIN. We're not doing this to innocent people, most are just interrogated. Of course it feels awful, that's the god damn point. Torture info can be unreliable, a very valid point, but not if you know what to ask. Don't ask them, "Are you a terrorist?" If you do that, they'll say yes just to make it stop. If you just ask if they know anything, well, you might turn something up. There's only one thing I don't like about it. What if they really don't know anything? That's the one thing that needs to be addressed for me to fully support ALL types of torture.
  4. College party? Mainly captured terrorists, though terrorists don't really surrender so we don't have that many. (not many REAL terrorists I mean, not anyone who looks Muslim). Like I said, I don't give 2 [cabbage]s about their safety, it's just that if any type gets approved at all it's going to be this.

If it's happening, there's a good reason. How can you say psychological harm doesen't matter, you might as well just cut their legs off, the amount of psychological damage you could do could do more damage to a persons life. Like I said, you act like it's happening to random innocent people. If that's how we need to get information from our enemies, then so be it. They're life is not our concern and personally I don't care whether or not they're physically tortured, this is just the safest way.

  8. It's about the movie, but it pretty much sums up Twilight as a whole. http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videol ... 1-twilight

  10. Erm, it's not torture. It produces the feeling of torture, which sucks for the person being tortured, but really if the government is doing it it's for a damn good reason, and besides, there's no risk. Still, good to see this guy actually went and did it instead of just being an armchair politician.
  11. Opening a bottle of syrup. You keep you fingers around the edges because you know that when you open it you'll get syrup all over your hands, so you make it your mission to avoid that, but in the end you just can't.
  12. If Xbox360: Halo 3, if you play it with friends. Don't expect a whole lot of fun with random people. If PC: Garry's Mod. Again, it's way better with friends.

  14. But by blocking major tranportation networks, thet sure as hell got your attention didn't they? That's the idea. The guys that Flamehawk and I saw outside the White House (btw just remembered it WAS Friday, so we were both there on the same day  ), they weren't in anyone's way, and they will likely be ignored.

Well if you have any games from the Source engine, all props and maps from those game are automatically imported to Gmod. From there you have various spawn menus to pick what you want to spawn. You also have a list of tools you can use, like adding wheels to things, welding them together, stuff like that. Good for both silliness and building.

Garry's Mod, the most endlessly replayable game of all time! Allows you to turn anything from any Source game you own into an amazing creation! Make Dr. Kleiner dance! Build a car out of Portal turrets! It truly is amazing. It has everything. Roleplaying servers, building servers, and all different gametypes. The most amazing thing is that most things in this game are created by players, for players. But I can't describe this game just talking about it, so here's some examples! [hide=Pictures] [/hide] [hide=Videos] [/hide] Hell, even all of that stuff doesn't quite say it. You can find tons more about it by doing some Youtube searching. It even has multiplayer. Everything thats possible in Single Player and more! You can get the latest version on Steam for only $10, but remember you have to have atleast one Source game for it to work (Tf2, Portal, CS:S, any Half-Life game HL2 and after, but L4D DOES NOT WORK YET!) Download all Gmod addons right h'ya: <!-- m -->http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/<!-- m --> If you have it, add me on Steam, movnviol. Oh yeah, the discussion part of the thread. Post screenies and vids you your creations, I have no imagination so I want to see what the TIF community can come up with! If you want to record video in good quality I recommend FRAPS. 18. You mean because he has more careful writing beyond a stock stereotype?
  19. So basically, the equivalent of starting a thread saying "Do you think all people deserve basic human rights, answer Yes or No, then changing the original post to "Do you think all non-Muslims should be exterminated" once everyone has posted?

  22. Off topic: Is that you in your avatar? Anyways, I don't feel I'll join the military. It doesn't really offer anything of interest to me, aside from maybe a good workout. No, I am actually not an old animated pedophile. Liar.
  23. What exactly does the Navy do nowadays? The only useful things that I'd think we'd need are carriers and subs, but we have a hell of alot more than that.
  24. I think he means you always have a bad connection, but its more noticeable for that gun (which is true for a bolt-action rifle).
