I got my old character to the end of the main quest, but I just rented the game on Xbox again last night and I don't want to DL Brotherhood of Steel for a rental. This being the case, I started a new character. Named him Kyle (a referrence to Kyle Reese from Terminator). Anyway, thats when I realized this game has all the AI weirdness Oblivion had. And in the same hilarious way Oblivion had. When I escaped the Vault Andy the Robot killed Officer Gomez by lighting him on fire... ...to get a single radroach that was attacking him :lol:

I remember my class owned the protestors. As they chanted hate messages about Obama, we had the chorus group stand at the fence and sing The Star Spangled Banner (and very well, IMO). It shut them up for about 5 minutes :thumbsup:

I think I posted wrong in the OP. What I meant to say is that the new history teacher is a guy, (though yeah, hes way better than the idiot who claimed the Cold War killed more people than the world can sustain). Someone asked how the nazis got away with it at first, he couldn't answer. His friend, the English teacher, heard about it, and did this in her class. It doesnt really matter, just thought I'd say it.

I normally don't like it when people just drop a link and leave, but after reading it I think that really says it all. While the main topic focuses on how the holocaust was possible, that movie (I saw the movie in class, unfortunately never got to read the book), shows just how the nazis came to power in the first place. I wonder what would happen if a class did that today.

Alright, so a little backstory. 2 weeks ago someone in my History class asked how the nazis could have gained so much power and done so much without anyone doing anything about it. He couldn't give an answer (this, by the way, is a different history teacher than the guy I talked about in an earlier thread). He happens to be friends with the English teacher, which is how this started. Today in class, she walked into the room. She pointed at one kid and said "You! Out in the hall, I'll see you later for detention." As he was taken outside, he protested that he had done nothing wrong, but she wouldn't hear it. Several times during the class, she pointed at different people and told them that they weren't following directions and to go to the detention room. Their punishment would be decided later. One by one, about half of the class disappeared. Finally, near the end of the period, she brought them all back into the room. She asked if they should be submitted for expulsion for this. Most of the class mumbled "yes". She said... "THIS... is how the Nazis were able to carry out the Holocaust. They started to take people one by one until it was too late. I noticed that the more people I took, the more of you broke eye contact, looked down at your books, or sat lower in your chairs. Then when I asked if they should be expelled, you were all ready to send them up the river to avoid the same fate. This is exactly how the Holocaust was allowed to happen. I hope that now you all know better." I really don't know how to end this post except... ...thoughts? Similar experiences? When I left that class I immediately thought that OT might have something to say on the subject, and that this had some discussion to take from it.

Back on topic nao. Thursday I was on a school overnight to Washington D.C. One of my friends,(there were 3 friends besides myself in the room), he's a big fat guy, worked up a huge sweat. When it was time for lights out, we were to share a bed. We told him to take a shower, and he refused saying that if we were really his friends we wouldn't tell him to do that, and that we were asking him to "change who he was." I ended up claiming custody of half of the pillows and sheets on the bed to set up my own bet on the floor, which he objected too, but I eventually got my way there. :roll: The next day we got ready to leave. We stopped at a gift shop on the way, and that was where it got worse. Being a gift shop for tourists, the prices were ridiculous. He's a spoiled rich kid, and bought a t-shirt, a regular t-shirt, just black shirt with white text, for $10. I told him that was kinda alot to pay for a t-shirt to which he replied "for you it is, for me it's not. It's ok, I'm rich." We ended up telling him he was being an [wagon], which resulted in him bawling and saying that "all of his friends were betraying him." FML
