  1. We've published a guide here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/bird_and_the_beast.htm If anyone can get pictures of the Golem interface, please post them, it's difficult to get them since the golem is always constructed and you can't access the build interface until it runs out. Additionally, if anyone has any further special tips and tricks (efficency info, etc.) to add to the guide that would be awesome!
  2. We'll be releasing a guide on the main helpsite in the next few hours with all you need to know! :D In the meantime, you can see what rewards are offered by talking to the quartermaster in your war camp.
  3. Enable PVP and AFK at a building. Just gotta pay a little attention so that you don't get PKed. Shouldn't really be a problem if you went Armadyl. Takes like 30 minutes or less. Thank you. Doing/did this. Yep. Another tip is to pick a world with very little players, as once people get their 30k they barely participate and just get back to the rest of RS so all the places are deserted. I've been 'PvP' the whole event and have almost never been in combat.
  4. It's fully white aka Armadyl at 100% lead against Bandos.
  5. This, when you're going to make it "good" vs "evil" the decision is already decided. What's the point of pretending there was going to be a different outcome? I doubt Jagex even has prepared lore/future content that has Bandos surviving. Justice is neither! :3 Hehe, the default image without score influence shows Armadyl winning. Ironic.
  6. Wish there weren't so many bugs, but damn what a view. Falador Port Sarim + Draynor
  7. Nah, he's confused. He's a proud follower of Zaros, of course.
  8. Grrrrrreat always fun making database entries for items about to be deleted.
  9. People are over 30K already today so there must be something. PVP kills maybe. Pretty sure its a bug since the game insists that there is 30k hardcap per day.
  10. Divination happens at the convoy. You help the convoy gather energy as it moves from site to site. The four different things you build have different functions ranging from allies in combat to faster energy gathering when the convoy arrives/sucking away energy from the enemy convoy. Would be a bad move by Jagex to just keep wrecking parts of the world map imo. Also, Non-PvP players can attack the convoy and PvP can't do anything except watch them destroy it...really Jagex
  11. I have been doing a wide variety of tasks and have been capped at 30k the whole time. Says in-game that you can't earn more than 30k renown per day. I Stand corrected I'm going to just assume that people found a task that still rewards renown for which Jagex forgot to apply the 30k per day limit.
  12. I have been doing a wide variety of tasks and have been capped at 30k the whole time. Says in-game that you can't earn more than 30k renown per day. Would be a clever dev move for the godless army to keep the score balanced so at the very end Jagex can make the final call on who they want to win. Armadyl still destroying though.
  13. Mahogany tables, festive aura, and sacred clay hammer bonus XP was 2.5k xp per table which was super fast levelling for me.
  14. How did some people get past 30k renown already?
  15. The problem, at least on world 99 right now, is it became so obvious that Armadyl massively outnumbered Bandos so Bandos people either gave up or switched sides. Armadyl controls all sites w99 right now and I'm assuming it's the same on other worlds...result seems inevitable. Meanwhile new players are confused because there's nothing left to do really except protect from Godless ambushes I guess. Oh well, 30k max renown for the day.
  16. The Bird and the Beast - World Event 2 Bandos and Armadyl are locked in a deific stand-off above Falador. From atop lofty towers, they're gathering divine energy to fuel siege weapons of prodigious power - enough to kill a god. After pledging your allegiance to Armadyl or Bandos, you'll support the energy-gathering effort to help your god get his shot off first, killing the other outright. Protect friendly caravans sent out to gather the energy and attack those belonging to the enemy; battle enemy players; build powerful war structures along the caravan routes and have your say in your side's grand strategy - all to make sure your god's the one standing at the end! The stakes have never been higher, and the rewards are awesome: new combat abilities; hybrid armour with a chance to reduce cooldowns on combat abilities;titles, cosmetic weapon overrides and - of course - plenty of XP. Read on for further details, or get started now! The War Effort Whether you're a battle-hardened fighter or a peaceful skiller, there's plenty that you can do to help determine the outcome of The Bird and the Beast. Everything described in this section will help your faction harvest divine energy and/or hinder the enemy in doing so, thus affecting the factions' overall score. At the end of the six week event, the side that has the highest overall score (as shown on the bar at the top of the screen in event areas) will emerge victorious - and for the losing god, it'll be lights out! Contributing in also earns you renown that can be spent on rewards at your faction's quartermaster. Note that this a safe event. If you die in one of the marked zones around RuneScape's major cities - be it to an NPC or another player - you'll respawn with all your gear intact at your faction camp. Once you've spoken to Kara-Meir north of Falador and chosen your side, you're good to get started. Read on, and see the wiki for full details of everything you can do to help. Caravans Divination energy is gathered by caravans sent out by both sides. The position of active caravans can be seen on the war map in your faction camp, or the world map interface. Attack your enemy's caravans and accompany your own to ensure your side comes out on top. If enabled via the Bird and the Beast interface, you can even fight other players for renown, heroic skulls and bragging rights. Note that having PvP enabled also increases your overall renown gain. If you're not a fighting type, you can follow friendly caravans and help siphon divine energy when they stop, or you can halt enemy NPC diviners by clicking on them. You can also interrupt players who are siphoning energy by using a disruptor rod on them. Construction RuneScape members can claim construction nodes along the caravan routes, and can choose from a selection of useful buildings to place there, whose handy effects include summoning friendly NPCs and increasing energy gathering speed. Once chosen, the initiating player will start to build, and others (both free players and members) can help. Each claimed node acts as a teleportation destination for its faction, accessible via the war map. If the opposing faction has claimed a node, you can work to sabotage it. If it's destroyed, its benefits will be removed its benefits and the node will be freed up. Strategy You'll have a say in a certain aspects of your faction's battle strategy. One example is the construction of golems. Speak to the golem master on the first floor of your faction's tower to cast your vote on what body parts to use in its construction. The completed golems will defend or attack caravans (depending on how they've been built), thus contributing to the faction's score. Check out the strategy board and the voting board - both at your faction camp - for more voting opportunities. More will become available as the weeks go on, so keep checking back! A World at War NPC-versus-NPC skirmishes can break out at a number of locations in the world, and their outcomes affect your faction's overall score. Vote wisely on your faction's recruitment strategy - thus affecting the type of fighters your faction fields in these fights. And if you see one in progress, wade in and help! More Spoils of War When you sign up to a faction, you'll earn a token of fealty, which gives you 10 teleports to your faction camp per day and unlocks event-related buffs as your personal contribution increases, geared toward improving your performance in the event. You can requisition rewards from your faction's quartermaster in exchange for your earned renown. Among these are all-new combat abilities, usable from level 10 in their related skills: Sacrifice: a basic ability (Constitution) that self-heals as you deal damage.Devotion: a threshold ability (Defence) that grants 100% effectiveness of protection prayers for a time. The effect can be extended by killing enemies.Transfigure: an ultimate ability (Constitution) that stuns you for a short duration, then heals more than twice any damage you've received during that stun, and subsequently imparts a lengthy stun immunity.Renown will also buy you hybrid warpriest armour that scales in effectiveness up to level 75 Defence (50 for free players). Also, wearing three pieces or more of the armour earns you a set effect: a chance to reduce your longer ability cooldowns. The quartermaster can also grant you faction-specific emotes and titles, as well as generous XP lamps. More rewards will open up as the weeks progress. Be bold, be resolute, and check back as the event goes on! Finally, you'll be able to collect sacred metal fragments and faction-specific weapon components as you fight and work on battlefield structures. 1000 fragments and a weapon component can be combined to make orkish or aviansie weapon overrides for claws, shields, throwing weapons and wands. Keep Up the Fight! There's something for everyone to do here, in our most epic in-game event yet. The event will develop and escalate as the weeks go on, with plenty of surprises to come. Watch the news and in-game notifications for details! Fight for the future of your favourite god, but - most importantly - have fun! The RuneScape Team How to start The Bird and the Beast: Speak to Kara-Meir just north of the Falador lodestone. Further details on how to contribute to your side's war effort can be given by those in your faction's camp. They will disappear upon entry, and re-appear upon exiting.Premier Club membership can now be purchased with RuneScape Bonds!Vorago has deemed the 'Undefeated' title to be too easy to attain. As such, he has stripped all players of this title, and created a new form of attack, which he'll unleash on certain weeks. Players will need to complete a fight where Vorago uses this new attack to retrieve this elite title. It's now possible to repeat the Ashdale tutorial by speaking to Gudrik in Taverley.A collection of small fixes and tweaks have been made to the Ashdale tutorial.Solomon's General Store can now be found in-game, just south of the Grand Exchange.Patch Notes
  17. It's there forever until you use it up. It's their new system for managing bonus experience. Whenever you train prayer it will slowly drain and when it runs out your XP gains will be normal again. Edit: I'm a spammer.
  18. Ned

    have a wonderful birthday Sally!

  19. I feel like you're right, would make sense since POH is so close there's no way that's where you're actually teleported to. Can see the south area from Blast furnace though. CookMePlox any way to get a Dec 2013 version? Edit: Lol, minimap at blast furnace Jagex still makes using the orb difficult but the expanded minimap is really helpful. Underground Pass by Taverley Slayer Dungeon. The Mods Only Room Does GC stand for Garbage Collection as in Jagex telling each other not to put any areas in these locations since they are used for some java related purpose? And I guess those hand drawn warnings do actually appear on the minimap:
  20. Trying to find a way to see the POH instance storage here: Only accessible place to me atm is the blast furnace since everywhere else is quest and/or discontinued, and I'm pretty sure the TT instances are loaded somewhere else so I couldn't orb from there. Water mill cellar is the quest version so if anyone has yet to do it...have fun.
  21. Where is everyone suddenly getting these totally complete maps...so awesome to get confirmed all the things we saw ingame with limited draw distance when this thread started out. I didn't know the deep floors of Daemonheim moved to such interesting places. Man once the beta goes live they are going to majorly need to spread things out: That's still Java I haven't checked with full HTML5 draw distance. Like it's at a point now where it really kills immersion for newer players since you can't -not- see this. Before, we needed an orb of oculus or massive resize screen to see this. Edit: they seem to have already taken care of it. This is HTML5, I think they have it so only the dungeons you are inside will show up both in game and on the minimap.
  22. Yeah, ever since EoC we've had a number of guides in need of rework. Barrows is coming up on my list so I really appreciate this post, I'll let you know when I get to it!
