Luckeedog101, please explain to me the dire need to teach me a life lesson? I dont mind fighting against the odds and I dont mind fihgting hypocritical people. Alright, I was wrong to assume that I quoted the correct person, I fail at supreme use of forums skill... Why dont instead of passing judgement and speaking high and mighty you just say what you mean to say and not hide behind words?

I cant help it if Dharockslayer assumed I was talking to him, which I was not. But please keep on laughing im glad you are having fun. edit: A+ for the effort. Looce, I dont know if you care or not, but I will offer a civil explanation. Qeltar provoked me and dragged me into this argument. This thread is my legitimate concern over the impact of GE on RS economy. Off topic, ive learned to be self sufficient and get my own things for my own skilling. I will survive if merchanting dies also... however... I will be very upset. Merchanting is my hobby, my favourite "skill" in this game, if you can call it that. My overall skill total is fairly decent, so its a nice balance between $ making and $ using.

You 2 are just being spiteful, but alright. Its a challenge that somebody gave me recently. Just for fun, a nice break from making potions nonstop to get 82 herblore and $ a little extra cash. 4 hours is the time allowed. Doesnt have to be all at once, hell, you can do it for 30 minutes at atime. You can hit 1 mil in 30 minutes and stop or you can keep going for 4 hours to see how much you get. Its not to make somebody care, just a little bit of merchanting fun, try it, you might like it. edit: I want to clarify something. Why do people immediately associate merchanting with world 2? I havent been once to world 2 since ive started playing again. Its impossible to accomplish anything there, an utter waste of time.

This was a few pages back, so some of you might not remember. Well I can't speak for someone else (like you tend to do for all merchanters), but it seems that Qeltar doesn't hate merchanters, I think he dislikes pompus egomaniacs like yourself; look at your name: (Ego Scorpion!) Your arguements should be able to be solved by these statements...however I have a feeling your immaturity will make you add a few more posts to help confirm Qeltar's (as well as mine and probably most of the RuneScape community) statements: We all have a right to play the game how we want; so don't down talk or judge someone for what they interpret as fun! If you want to be the middle-man for hundreds of trades; be my guest, just don't think yourself better than the rest of us for not following your example! And finally...back to what this thread is supposed to be about... Merchanting will NOT go away, it will just change a bit. Snakes and cockroaches have been around since the dinosaurs, and they haven't gone away yet :thumbsup: You agree with qeltar, thats your right, but do you have to include rest of rs community in it? thats kind of taking it too far :boohoo:

Woudlnt you for once wonna take a break from constant skilling and have some fun, even if you are not a merchant? Its just a challenge sort of thing, dont neceseraly have to make 1 mil, but see how far it gets you:) qeltar, I would like to ask you not to post in any of my future threads, show some respect id hope that by your age you would know what it is and lets just part ways civily.

This world , real and game, revolves around people taking advantage of each other. To some extent, EVERYONE is making a profit off of somebody. Only question is through which means and to what extent. Why didnt you post rest of the quote where he goes on to call me a vulture where I was simply expressing my just concern over the implementation of GE. Looce... ill answer you simply.. winning an mmo is a matter of perspective. You set a goal and you set out to accomplish it. As for my attitude, it was delibarate and towards qeltars blind hatred for merchanting and provoked by his insult towards me. But thanks for passing judgement.

Heres a fun challenge one can do to practice making $. Regardless of what you have, bank everything and take nothing but 20k Set for yourself a timeframe and target ammount (in this case 1million in 4 hours) Make sure you bank everything else as to not attract any attention - naked as the day you were born :) Buy and sell anything and everything you can think of. No skills. You are not allowed to use any of your production skills to buy raw materials and gain greater income. Whats the point? Just to see how far you can get with 20k by doing the constant trading. And its fun to an extent, I did it the other day and was able to go from 20k to 400k within 30 minutes due to a serious of lucky trades. Post your outcome tommorrow and I will post some easy ways to make large amounts of $ from nothing very fast :) edit: clarification - you are to achieve your end result through only one means - merchanting! :)

A fact is that rares are worth tens of millions of in-game currency; an opinion is that they are the backbone of the economy. Let me tell you something: You don't know jack. A backbone is a central part of anything, be it an animal or a particular trade. Basically, it's something along the lines of an absolute need; something that everyone at some point in their lives will have to use. I haven't had to use a rare, nor have I really cared about them. I have had to use sharks, monkfish, ore, bars, and feathers -- all of which could be seen as the backbone of the RS economy. Also, in regards to your other post, if you can't accept another person's point of view in a calm manner, without having to act like a fool, then there's no need for you to post on a public forum. pr0phet00, check my other thread on grand exchange and 24 pages of flames by this person. I am not the type of person to do random low blows, but everything qeltar said in both threads is purely out of hatred and jealousy so he got the responses he deserves in my eyes.
