What's the worst suggestion you have ever heard?
I just had to comment on this seeing as it made me laugh out loud. Imagine a bunch of fat people walking around? They'd need to wear 2 platebodies to have a full armor set on, and they'd have a permanent brown cloud behind them that poisons anybody who walks through for 5 damage. And yes, I know just how stupid that sounds. But the worst one I've ever heard is to remove the quests as they are apparently for "stupid 5 year old noobs".

Quest's, whats your stance?
I find quests to be a huge part of the Runescape world. If it wasn't for quests, the world map would be MUCH smaller, and we'd have less access to unique items to help with skilling. Plus, I don't know how much of a nerd I sound like, but I enjoy the continuing storylines in each quest and like completing some quests simply for the sake of the plot. The quests also provide good oppurtunities to actually think instead of clicking on a tree or a fishing spot. As for doing quests, I try to go as far as I can without a guide (this is easier to do on newly released quests), and always make sure I have some way out of a situation if I run into something too hard to fight right away (I always bring an ectophial and antipoison/prayer potions for safety). Of course, if I'm really stuck, I'll peek at a tipit guide to get a hint at what I'm missing. I don't like to do that though. The game would be a lot less interesting without the quests, that's for sure. This game isn't ALL about making millions or going to the Barrows for 10 hours.

How Many Guilds Are You In?
I'm in... Mining Prayer Cooking Crafting Champions Heroes Ranged I'm 1 strength or attack level away from Warrior's guild, 6 levels from Magic guild, 7 levels from Fishing guild and 2 herblore levels away from being able to START the Legends quest. Has anyone mentioned the Rogue's Den? It's sort of like a combined Thieving and Agility guild since you need 50 in each skill to get in. If that counts, then I'm part of that "guild" as well.

what gives the best clues
Jellies are the lowest level monsters which drop level 3 clues. You need 53 Slayer to kill them, though. If you have that level, however, I would definitely recommend Jellies as they are easy to kill and are numerous.

Post up your Runescape moments! Funny, achievements!
I lost a great screenshot recently. I was mining coal and a genie appeared. I used the lamp on farming and it was enough to get me to the next level, so my chatbox said: You swing your pick at the rock... ...you manage to mine some coal. Congratulations, you have just increased a farming level. Random but funny.

Need some training Ideas, I want some variety...
Well, I think you should stick with what you're doing. There is TONS of variety in Slayer, and it's a fairly fast way of levelling combat. So stick with it. :D

Master Slayer Guide by Axe Man Jack (AOW) Updated 9/06
Hey, just wanted to say that your guide has really helped me. I'm ranging Bloodvelds right now, and I have just one thing to point out -- you say to use mith arrows or higher, but I'm using steel because I'm cheap  and I find them pretty effective. Maybe you could note that steel is a less expensive alternative? Anyways, I'll be back reading this guide for my next task.

SPAMMER QUESTION
I believe that the use of any third-party program with Runescape is illegal. So the answer to your question is probably yes.

P2P range training question
I'm currently 53 range, and I like to train on the caged ogres NW of Argdougne. A great thing I've found just now, however, is Bloodvelds. You need 50 Slayer to kill them, but I've tried ranging them for my current assignment, and it turns out that they have terrible range defense! I'm using a magic shortbow and steel arrows, and I'm hitting very few zeroes. There are also plenty of safespots. If you can kill these guys, then it's worth it. They're on the first(Britain)/second(American) floor of the Slayer Tower.

Noobs say the funniest things!
Yeah that last one was pretty funny. Today, somebody was walking around the Catherby fishing area trying to buy a hellcat.

Rag and Bone Man
I guess you'd just have to search your bank then, because I think stuff only get crossed out on the wish-list AFTER you've polished the bone and given it to the crazy old dude.
-
Herblore Exp?
A good strategy is to go to either the Chaos Druids at Taverley Dungeon or the ones in the tower NW of Ardougne, and collect all the "worthless" guams that people drop. Sure, it's only 25 exp per attack potion, but with all of the guams lying around and a second ingredient readily available in mass quantities at a store, the exp can grow very quickly this way.
-
Rag and Bone Man
For the wish-list, you're not guaranteed to get a special bone drop with every kill. You just have to keep killing rats until you get one of the bones.

Again the nat altar question....
I would recommend the way that I use: -Start Fairy Tale part 2 and get to the point where you can use the Fairy Rings (you don't need the evil 57 herblore requirement at this point in the quest) -Use the CKR combination to teleport to the Fairy Ring just NW of Shilo on the map there, run to the Nat altar, run back through the ring to Zanaris and bank there. You don't need any tele runes/amulets, it's a relatively short path, and the only danger is the jungle spiders just east of the fairy ring. I ususally bring an antipoison potion just in case they poison me.

What is your most cherished item?
My favorite item has to be my gnome goggles. I got them as a reward in the Gnome Deliver game the first day it came out, and I never take them off except when I'm wearing combat gear. And even then, I might do easier slayer tasks with rune armor + gnome goggles.

More uses for the Family Crest gauntlets
I was just thinking, if the guy from Family Crest had 22 sons (1 for each skill) instead of 3 for you to help out, what would be the gauntlets you'd get from each son at the end (obviously this is just hypothetical, otherwise it'd be an EXTREMELY long quest ). We already have Cooking Gauntlets, Smithing Gauntlets and Chaos (magic) Gauntlets. If there was a pair of Gauntlets for every skill, what would each pair do? Try to be as unique as you can. Some examples: Runecrafting Gauntlets: Lower the level at which you can craft double natures to 85, and make double laws available at level 93. Farming Gauntlets: Reduce the growing time by 25% for all crops when worn. Theiving Gauntlets: Greatly reduce the chances of being caught when theiving from Guards, Knights, Paladins and Heroes. Woodcutting Gauntlets: Gives a chance to obtain 2 logs at the same time when chopping trees oak and above.

Where is YOUR favorite place to train?
For melee, my favorite spot is wherever the slayer master sends me. For ranged, I like the caged ogres in the training camp (as long as somebody isn't hogging them all with a cannon  ) The whole complex of Seer's/Catherby is where I traing woodcutting, fletching, firemaking, fishing and cooking. It's fun to talk to people while training there -- there's usually something interesting being talked about. For RCing, you'll probably see me at the fire altar for another 4 levels. And for mining, I get iron at the East Ardougne mine, and coal at the mining guild.

Best thing gotten for free
I got a dds for very close to nothing yesterday; I was going to kill Basilisks at the Slayer dungeon, and as I entered... Nice guy: "I forgot my mirror shield...can I have yours? I'll give you a dds for it lol" Me: "Sure! :D :D " So I traded him my shield for the dds, walked back out and fairy-ringed to the Lost City where I bought another shield, which is pretty much 1/10 the price of the dds. So that's definitely the best it's been for me. And to the guy who forgot his shield, THANK YOU for your generosity! :D

Perhaps easy way to Canifis w/o DT?
Your method is prett fast; the only other way I can think of is using the Ectophial and walking from there to Canifis.

Defense against Infernal Mages
No, I definitely won't be getting 70 range just for one task. I'll just slug it out and go fishing after. :)

Defense against Infernal Mages
Hi, I'm currently assigned to kill 153 Infernal mages for my slayer task. I've only killed about 16 and ate about 15 lobsters and 5 swordies. I'm looking for a way to but down on the damage I take. Here's what I'm wearing: Head: Gnome wizard hat Neck: Glory ammy Body: Blue dhide Legs: Blue dhide Hands: Blue dhide Feet: Steel boots Shield: Elemental shield Weapon: Dragon long My stats are in my signature. Is there anything that I should be wearing that will provide better magic defense? And should I keep meleeing them, or switch to range? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

not as many people play rs anymore
I feel old now. I have a lot of notes to study, but my schedule actually works out so I have Thursdays off, 1 class on Tuesdays, and I'm finished for the day by 11:30 in the morning twice. Even with work, I have time to play this.
