Gave a presentation about unit testing to my team today, and part of that was actually writing a test live. Picked out a particularly ugly method for that because it showed a couple things I wanted to emphasize. After the meeting, went back and refactored the method to be half as long and removed the most confusing line in it. Felt really nice.

Unless America changes its voting system, we're unlikely to get more than two parties. Even the most successful third party (the Progressives) managed less than a decade of relevancy before we morphed back into a 2 party system.

I feel like if you're gonna go for a middle name, you should pick as weird of one as you can. Wikipedia says you're only allowed apostrophes and hyphens, so I would suggest going with " 'E-l-i-o-t' "

It often feels to me that the groups who actually are systemically oppressed in America primarily live in cities, or states that are disadvantaged by the electoral college system, for economic reasons more so than political ones. Which makes "the electoral college protects minorities!" ring a little hollow to me.

I keep having stress dreams about gming for some friends, which we were planning for about a month. We actually played last night, which I assumed would make the dreams stop, but I had to get up at 7 good morning because I couldn't stand going back to sleep and having the same stupid "you didn't prepare enough for the next session oh no!" dream. I didn't get nightmares for a long time, no matter how stressed I got. Ugh, college ruined me so badly...

No, you were right the first time. For the rest of this page, only post good advice. You can get really cool nail polish designs, really simply, by using a floss wand to apply multiple layers. Start with a base coat in a light color, then brush a layer of a dark color onto a floss wand, and use it to apply lines haphazardly across the nails. Repeat with 2 or 3 dark colors, and you've got yourself an awesome nail design!
