Going home to my parents' this weekend, and just learned they're throwing a secret Baby Shower for my brother. I was like, "Oh, I guess I'll pick up a present then," to which my mom said "Oh, it's more of a girl thing. I was going to put all the guys in the basement. You can come up if you want, but then you have to play girl games....." (I'm def not out to my parents) On the one hand, it'd be great to join the party just for the express purpose of "playing girl games" whatever that means. As like a "[bleep] you I can do feminine stuff" kind of thing. On the other hand, I really actually don't wanna go to a baby shower >.> This weekend is gonna be...interesting. Why is network sharing between 2 windows pcs so hard? It seems like it should be super simple when there's literally a context menu option for it on every file...

Coding in Unity is so different from traditional programming, and it does my head in every time. Like, the last 3 times I've tried to make something, I've gotten to "instantiate a prefab" and given up for 6 months after 8 hours of googling. Like, should I just make a builder? Is that the answer? I was watching Adam Ruins Everything on Amazon Video earlier today and stopped to eat dinner, etc. I was halfway through an episode (episode 4 of season 1). I went back to watch the rest ( about 5 hours later) and now the whole series is under pay lock, where it's been free all week. [bleep] you Jeff Besos.

Like I said, I could pirate it, but I prefer to pay for music these days.

I mean, yeah, I can import a CD from Japan. The base price, pre-shipping, is $25. Or I could pirate it, but I don't feel as okay about that these days, tbh. The problem is the artist doesn't have a western distribution channel, so it's not that surprising that it's exclusively available on iTunes.

I uninstalled iTunes several years back as it became a crappier piece of software, and now I want to buy some music which appears to only be on the iTunes store, it looks like I'm going to have to reinstall it. And in my desperate attempt to find some way to avoid that fate, all the articles I'm reading talking about how the service is getting crappier just reaffirms by suspicion that it's a terrible piece of software, and I'm glad to have gotten out years ago.

[hide=pain]Had my first full session of electrolysis today, and when I left the place, my right arm was bruised from clenching the electricity wand. The actual needle wasn't much worse than the shorter session last time, but my arm was flexed for a lot longer, and had more time to hurt itself. Going back to work after that and typing was rough. I can deal with temporary pain pretty well, it's the lasting stuff that gets to me.[/hide]
