When a girl says something like how she wants to take things slow, that’s usually woman-language for either “I’m not interested in having sex with you, but I still want your attention” or “I know you want to have sex with me, and I might have sex with you too, but I want to see if I can get you to comply with my preferences and wait for sex so I can be in control of the relationship and lose attraction for you sooner for allowing me to do this” Can you just like take a step back and see how creepy statements like that look from a woman's perspective? I don't even mean mine. I've dated as neither a man nor a woman, I'm about as neutral a third party there can be. It just reads as incredibly manipulative.

An old friend messaged me to tell me that he was going to be in town in December, and wants to have a get together with the old group. This is the group that included the former friend who stole my cat, another who moved out of the country, a couple of people who I don't really talk to anymore, and his at-the-time girlfriend who I think he's no longer dating, but don't know how to ask to confirm. Like, this group fell apart pretty much as soon as he moved to California, and I don't know how to handle the whole thing. Like, I wanna hang out, but not really just with him, and everyone else is at best a question mark.

I recently listened to an NPR piece about how the Log Cabin Republicans were happy with Trump because he was the first president ever to reach out to them about LGBT issues. Makes me wonder, did anyone contact them about this? (A quick google search suggests no, and the LCR are not particularly happy about it, which is something at least)

I have something like that set up and foreshadowed already. I just think that kind of passive aggressive response can easily ruin a player's fun, especially if it's coming from the GM. It's certainly easier, but imo less effective and more frustrating for everyone involved.

I'm running a Monster of the Week campaign (TTRPG) for a group of friends, and we had our second session tonight. I made a really fun NPC, one that everyone seemed to really like, and I was really having fun with. At the climax of the final fight, one of the players decided to just randomly kill the NPC, because his character is canonically insane. Probably going to have to talk with him about it. Very frustrating, and I'm def not looking forward to it.

As I understand it, I had 30 days from the issuance of the order granting summary disposition to file the notice of appeal. In theory, I could have appealed without an attorney, or tried finding another attorney to take on the appeal. In practice, not comfortable enough to self-represent in appeals court, and I was broke as hell. well, at least the charges were dropped, which is the most important thing. still, you do wonder if the police might be better behaved if the average person actually had the means to take them through court to the extent it was necessary Or if they stood a chance of being indicted on criminal charges, at very minimum.

Particularly with Domestic Violence as the charge, I think even if he wants to drop it, the state is obligated to press charges because domestic violence has so many problems with victims dropping charges out of fear or whatever.

Also consider that things you post here can be called in as evidence, depending on how deep Discovery goes. If your computer is searched, even by your own lawyer (who I understand is the one who has to do discovery on your side), then it's petty likely they'll pull these last couple of posts, maybe more. Yeah, but iirc Trump at one point threatened to start enforcing the federal ban, so that might change, or it might be arbitrarily different (though, we're white, so probably arbitrarily different in our favor *shrugs*)

I'm going to Canada on vacation next year with a moderate pot head, and he really wants us to smoke while we're up there, so I'm waiting to see what the consensus is on Americans smoking while in Canada (both in Canada's opinion and in America's)
