  1. Well, the good news is that this blog gets to stay up. The bad news is that it'll never be updated again.

Either I use lots of water or I don't. If I don't use lots of water and everyone does, I get the price hike and not the water, so I should use lots of water so that doesn't happen. If I use lots of water and no one else does, I get the benefit of lots of water without having to pay extra for it. I thought that was prisoner's dillema. You're probably right, though.

Ehh in college the dorm rooms are really expensive so I don't feel bad taking advantage of the water. When everyone on campus uses up the utilities your housing provider feels justified in raising the rent for the next term. That is true, however, the situation quickly turns into the prisoner's dilemma because of it.
  4. Speaking of which, I quit my not a nuzlocke run of leaf green when I spent three hours training a Pokemon, and then the first trainer I fought one hit KOed that Pokemon with a 1x effective move. I just wasn't enjoying the grinding when that shit happened, and that wasn't the first time. So I was going to finish the run as a regular run, and I eventually got my parasect, Francene, to the level where she would learn slash, and I accidentally replaced giga drain instead of scratch. That game is very opposed to me.

If he doesn't want it, I'd take it. I could do with having two.

Weekend was awful. Studied, haven't done anything significant. Hate studying, hate the class. Found out friends aren't going home for spring break, gonna be alone with the parents. Ugh. Have large amount of homework for other classes. Didn't do because I was studying. Prolly not gonna get it done. Hope to smudge short story and finish over break. Would prefer to finish before first draft due, but no time. Want classes to be over. Very badly want classes to be over.
  7. Baking a pie right now. (It's a chicken pot pie. Real pies are expensive and not good for you. I need to eat real food.)
  8. I think it's worth noting that, when someone is suicidal, it's not so much that they're not willing to help themselves, it's that everything they normally try to do to help doesn't work, and so it seems like there isn't a solution. It'd be like if the one thing that normally makes you happy is gardening, and then suddenly gardening just makes you feel more depressed. No matter how much you go out and work on your garden, no matter whether you're growing flowers or vegetables or just making a rock garden, you're not getting any joy out of it. Suddenly, you don't have a source of happiness that you know about. Then someone else comes along and says "Rather than gardening, you should try running marathons!" but you've never been in shape your entire life and nothing appeals to you about running marathons because it's not something you've ever done and not something that's ever brought you joy. Except replace gardening with everything Saq likes to do, and replace running marathons with school (because that's probably what he's hearing he should be doing). And you can replace marathons with pretty much anything, really. But yeah, Saq, as someone who has been suicidal in the past, there's one thing I can figure out that helps. It's breaking the routine. Rather than doing what you always do for fun (Based on your posting, I'm going to assume parties/drinking/get togethers, but I don't know you well enough to know for sure), find something completely different. I mean, I switched from RS to competitive speech, and those are about as different as you can get for a high schooler. The important thing is that you try something different, even if it doesn't work out. It's better if whatever you're trying is easier to get into, as well. I've always thought that a martial art would be good, as long as you're going to a dojo/school which is fairly laid back, so if you're not sure what to look at, that might be a good start. And yeah. A lot of it's just surviving until something changes. If you go to a therapist/psychologist, and they diagnose you with depression, then it's waiting until the meds balance your endorphins/hormones out. If your future just looks bleak and impossible to manage, then its a matter of keeping going until classes are over and you've got a secure job, or until something smaller is less bleak. That's about the hardest thing to hear, but it's definitely true. You just have to survive until things are better.
  9. Okay, but like, you're paying with drug money. That's just about the biggest reason for money to be sketchy, lol.
  10. Oh god, the Longboards Lounge site has autoplaying music.
  11. The fact that Mewtwo got back up to 100% health after using two substitutes is kind of bullshit.
  12. It's windy out. I opened my window to get some fresh air in, and now my curtain is just kind of flapping around everywhere.
  13. I warned you not to mess with the mods bro. They're vicious, won't have any of your shenanigans except for the shenanigans they'll have.
  14. That's a lack of shaving? Jeez, the standard is stupidly high for women. I like the tattoo though. In other news, I am happy to report that no has died in my not-a-nuzlocke in the process of getting through my rival + nugget bridge. That's a relief. And it only took like 4 hours of grinding.
  15. Apparently I didn't save my last game. Well. Guess Exclaim never died. Sweet.
  16. I'm doing a not a nuzlocke run of leafgreen. Self made rules are: 1 Use only Pokemon I've never used in a run before. So no charmanders or pikachus, or even butterfrees or mankeys. 2 Use only one Pokemon from any particular area. 3 Release any Pokemon who faints unless I have a revive before I get to the next Pokemon center. 4 No psychic types. It's really difficult, and not just because I'm bad at Pokemon. [Hide] I was doing really well all the way through Brock. I used a lvl 6 Mankey I didn't care about to fight him since I didn't have anything else that could even damage his ground rock types, and thoroughly trounced him barely taking any damage. The moment I stepped into Mt. Moon, though, everything just died for me. It took me two hours to get through, even though I was using potions rather than walking back to the Pokemon center every time. The super nerd and his magnemite almost destroyed me pretty much immediately, and it only went downhill from there. The rockets though, were killer. They took out my Paras, though I used a revive on him because I had had him literally two minutes. Then another rocket took out my Spearow, Fame. Almost took out my Beedrill, too. I barely made it out of there alive. Then I went to fight my rival, and he ducking wrecked me. Blackout before I could even take out two of his Pokémon. Even the squirtle I was bullet seeding was only taking a tiny bit of damage. Kept all my Pokemon, because whatever, and went to grind my Pokémon in the tiny bit of grass I can access now, and the stupid rattatas are just wrecking my ass. After about half an hour of grinding, my Jigglypuff, Exclaim, gets taken from more than half health to dead in like two shots from a rattata with hyper fang. I can't even grind without losing Pokemon, wtf is with this...[/Hide]
  17. You know, when you say that, it sounds a lot like you're saying you like to annoy people/be a dick to them. Which, if that's true, then it makes sense that you might alienate some people.
  18. No no, wasn't saying that was a bad thing at all! I like both of those bands a lot, so it's definitely a good thing.
  19. Sounds very post-rock. Like Boards of Canada or Explosions in the Sky.
  20. Can I just say, I don't get the idea that you should gauge your hobbies and activities by whether or not they'll get you a partner. Seems like entirely the wrong reason to do something. Then again, I don't really get society's obsession with relationships anyway, so...
  21. I can't think of anything most people haven't heard of, so I'm just going to pay about Avatar. It's amazing. Best humor, awesome characters, epic setting. Even though Legend of Korra isn't as good as Avatar: The Last Airbender, it's still hands down the best cartoon playing on TV today. (Though I guess not right now since it's between seasons) TNPW post a hilarious internet me me.
