Riots in Runescape, have you seen one?
Wingless replied to Neos_Matrix's topic in General Discussion
The obvious Wildy Riot, and the lesser-known small 'Presidential Riot'. In world 82 (I think), on the night of Obama's win, there was a relatively small riot on Obama and McCain. I have 2 pictures, but they are when the rant ended (almost). It was a full-fledged riot, however. I had to turn off public, occasionally, to keep the lagg down ;_; [hide=The 'Presedential Riot'] & [/hide] I also remember someone saying 'Obama is a terrorist. He is related to Osama' It was so damn funny listening to psycho's rant on about the president o_o -

Req's Blog of Randomness
Wingless replied to Wingless's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Well, I've decided, after much liberation, to retire. I will be ever so slightly but not as much as I originally was. This is because I was cut-off P2P awhile back, and have been harrased by people calling me 'Zezima' because I have one 99 and a combat level on 100. I can't stand the level of ignorance, and arrogance, so; I've retired. I will still be on Tip.It but not as much... Baai -

Discussion: To consider or examine by argument, comment, etc. (Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/discuss) As long as people continue to disagree with me, I'll disagree with them and back up my post. I don't intend to apologize for being right, as I have complied with all of tip.its rules and stated my argument in a mature and well thought out fashion. Sorry, but any offense you draw out of that is your own fault and I take no responsibility for it. I didn't say you offended me, just de-railed the topic by 'backing up your arguements' and such. And, I said you didn't need to apologize. So, if everyone can just shutup about the F2P-Waste Time/Money escapade, and we can actually re-rail this thread? Thanks. -

You would do a lot better if you stopped whining about context and started discussing the issues. I said that the point of FTP was to get people to buy members, and he said the point of FTP was to get people to buy members, albeit in a slightly less readable and slightly more insulting manner. Your welcome to point out the difference. Already covered in the first post, any update that doesn't directly do one of those three things is a waste of my money. Nope, I'm saying it will DETRACT members. Re read the post, you magically flipped the point of it around. Not really. It must be inconvenient to be disproved by facts. Ok, then answer this: How do they contribute money except from getting members and advertising (which is far overbalanced by server costs) And how is it going to increase membership? Every one of the points you mentioned would be to AVOID new members, not get new ones. Okay, sorry to get involved (again), but I think you need to stop too. AlexRose has quieted down and apologized for arguing, and I think you should just quieten down - no you don't have to apologize Well, yes you do actually. because you have made your point Several of themand we have heard you. Now can we just actually discuss the topic, and not hows F2P'ers waste Jagex's Everything, apparently time and cash? -

Wait, so because I still think it's worth it I'm not allowed to disagree with any of Jagex actions? :-# This doesn't look like a disagreement over a freeplay update. It looks like a tantrum. You can accept that neither Jagex nor players here view F2P as "freeloaders", or undeserving of updates because they don't contribute as much to the game as Members do, or discontinue paying. Note the key word that I highlighted. This isn't ad hominem, this is an observation on my part. It's been said time and again that F2P doesn't contribute on the same scale as Members. We don't need you to beat that point into the ground any further. You sir, deserve a cookie. (I doubt it will save this thread, however) -

I've noticed this thread is all compfreak >_> Oh well, at least my 'Most Popular Thread' is shooting up. OT: I believe they may be centering this 'high level' escapade on Exp and Time Played... I'll try to find out as much as I can :twss: -

And here's another interesting graph: You will notice that out of all turnover, virtually all of it is from members - and the turnover after expenses is much, much lower. FTP accounts for the majority of the operating expenses, with 130 times the players that are currently paying for membership. I don't see any valid point in that post. All you just proved was that F2P accounts do make money, small money, but still money. And because of that tiny income, F2P's have right to a 'tiny' amount of updates. -

Finally. Someone with sense. It's true, members have no right to complain. They have extended lands, 100 more quests, loads more items and more stuff to do. F2P's on the other hand have small lands, not more than 7 quests and very few items or things to do. And, I don't think anyone has taken to heart the idea of 'High Levels'. By that, we can assume overall levels, hours played etc. You can't base it on xp, because there are loads of people with millions of exp in cooking and whatnot. -

Sorry, but as mentioned at http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=480329, moderators will only lock a thread if it is breaking rules and not just a requested lock. There there, don't be so hard on yourself - losing one argument is no reason to give up. Also, be careful, or you'll end up violating section 1.2 of the rules and have your posts deleted. May I ask, why are you so obstinant? Do you really think I care if my posts are deleted? Jagex can do whatever they want to do, and you can have no say in it. See if they care. Go on, go rant in the newly instated 'Rants Forum'. Think they actually listen to you? Besides, Ignoramus is just a nice synonym for idiot. In this case, you are being one. How long are you on TIF for? There are requested locks all over the place, and the thread can also be locked if it has become sidetracked (like what you've done). Oh oh oh! Also, if you had eyes: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=480329 Go back to the thread, and read section 2.2 You have completely sidetracked this good discussion thread into an utter flame war. Now please, go 'bask in the glory' of shutting down a discussion thread. Thank you. -

So what? You mean nothing to Jagex. They are a company, with the ONLY goal of making money. You cost them money, your an annoyance they have to put up with in hopes that you'll start paying. How dare you say that F2P'ers are wastes of time. By doing this, more F2P'ers will want to become member because they can hear what members are saying about the P2P worlds and easily get convinced. You say your 32, but you seem to know nothing about SALES TACTICS. I'm MUCH YOUNGER than you, and I know this. And, who knows: Jagex may even make a seperate forum for F2P'ers. Also, if you HAD A BRAIN, you would realize that if 'All F2P'ers are wastes of Jagex' valuable time, money and server costs' (like you claim us to be), then they would have limited F2P'er to something like Varrock and Lumbridge, or even shut down the whole F2P process. So please shutup, you wingy imbecile and possibly go back to school. There goes the saying Older People are much Wiser, eh? Can we get back to the thread, not to this simpleton twit? ~Thanks. -

raw fish will rise in price! :o Not really. It could be based on skills that are harder to get up - such as the Core Combat skills, your overall level and harder skilling skills (e.g.:RuneCrafting, Crafting or Smithing) -

And why shouldn't we? Us PTPers pay for every single update FTP gets. FTP is nothing but a drag on overall server costs, designed with one goal in mind - get as many people as possible to switch to members and begin paying instead of freeloading. Oh, and for the record, I'm 32, not 12. How old are you? Please calm down. I don't want this thread to die because two little girls are having some stupid arguement. OT: And who's to say that US F2P's were not P2P'ers? I was, up until awhile back when I cut Membership. Besides, HIGH LEVEL PLAYERS usually have been on RS along time. I have loads of high level friends who are F2P's and have been playing almost since RS' birth. So, shut your mouth and don't slag off F2P'ers. We are players too. -

Cool, we'll do Hanukkah zombies next year. I also apologize for saying Christ died on Easter. I've got Good Friday on the brain, the actually day of his death. I feel that the problem with making Easter original is the lack of secular alternatives. Christmas has all sorts of stuff built up over it's history. It's a more joyful, celebratory holiday and, as such, is more widely enjoyed. You have Santa, Jack Frost, Old Man Winter, the Nutcracker, fairies, and much much more. Halloween works for anything scary. Zombies, vampires, the Grim Reaper, demons, witches, heck even spiders can get a cut! Easter... has a rabbit. And chocolate rabbits. Nothing else. Heck, St. Patrick's Day has more folklore to work with. I don't think this discussion was for Religious views. It's for discussing what we would like for the quest, and what we want for the reward. OT: I wouldn't mind a ring that would make you a Bunny/Giant Carrot (like the giant hopping ones from Banjo-Kazooie 1) [hide=Couldn't help it]http://www.faqs.org/faqs/judaism/FAQ/02-Who-We-Are/section-23.html[/hide]
