  1. lol if you're making a guide you should have plenty of safe spot pics to use from your experiences, no? :P
  2. Finally got to do more slayer! Yay! :D Got a few crappy clues to slow down this level, but also got some sweet drops! [hide=DRAGON DROP AND SLAYER LEVEL] [/hide] PS I'm selling Zamorak pages 3 and 4, and Guthix page 3. 200k for the lot :D
  3. Got a crappy clue from Hellhounds task, then got this one [hide=ANOTHER CLUE ITEM][/hide]
  4. How did you DK without safespoting rex? It's actually harder to solo than going with a team and killing all 3... at least when your team knows what they're doing :D
  5. yes it is considerably faster now... but regardless of that it was necessary to be done. the old hard drive stopped working. I merely fixed the problem before it could completely crash
  6. Thanks. I managed to get this last night hehe (wanted to afk something other than WC) [hide=LEVEL IN THE SKILL OF WHICH WE DO NOT SPEAK][/hide]
  7. haven't really been on much but enough for a farming level now :D well.... like 2 days ago [hide=FARMING LEVEL PIC][/hide]
  8. For those of you who don't know what she's referring to, this is the reason that I am now apologizing for my absence, resulting in a blog that is more boring than usual. Let me tell you my exciting computer story. Thursday 03/22/07: Ordered new 250GB hard drive from Newegg.com Monday 03/26/07: UPS tries to deliver between 2-5, leaving a note that they will try again Tuesday. Sadly, UPS only delivers Monday through Friday, and I am always working between 2-5 Monday through Friday. So I call UPS and explain that there is no way I can be there to sign for my package, and ask them to change my shipping address to my work address. They refuse, which I can understand for all kinds of liability reasons, but their lack of empathy was really disappointing. So they told me that they could leave it at their local location with a pickup time between 3-6... At first I thought I heard wrong, and I did a doubletake... wtf kind of company only has pickup hours between 3-6? Oh yeah... UPS!! So I explain to them that 3-6 is STILL during the hours I work, and without any sign of care about the situation, they tell me that my only other option is to send somebody to pick it up for me... which I obviously resorted to, although unwillingly. Tuesday 03/27/07: Step-mother picks up the package for me, and when I get off work after 10:30 PM I go to her house to get the hard drive. I hung out there for a while talking to everybody, since I hardly see 'em anymore, then proceed home to start my task. The whole reason I got this hard drive is due to my C: drive going bad, but I already had another drive D: with everything on it that I wanted to save. The plan was fairly simple, just tedious. Transfer everything from D: onto new drive.. E: let's say, then reinstall Windows on D: and use E: for storage. Nothing too fancy. So I get home, open the box, find that the cheapskates don't even provide IDE or ATA cables with your purchase... way to be cheap (I understand now this is standard). So following the advice of others, I disconnected my DVD drive and plugged in the new hard drive in its spot, leaving the box open to make sure it doesn't fall or something. I then formatted the disk and started all the transfers and went to bed (about 40 GB worth of files... all legally obtained of course). This was really annoying lol, but I had a good guide named Mementh :P Wednesday 03/28/07: Yet another annoying day. I had to hunt down my old Windows XP disk which somehow had been separated from the rest of my driver disks and program disks, but I found it eventually. I reinstalled Windows but didn't remember to FORMAT the drive first. So of course all the files I transferred were still there. If I'd known I could do that, I would've just done that to begin with, transferred files, THEN done a reinstall windows with formatting on the drive. Oh well, live and learn. Anyway, I was told it'd be best to just do a reformat and install windows, so I did that, but I wanted to double-check that there weren't going to be any problems whenever I loaded up my new drive, so I tried to turn on the computer after I plugged in the new hard drive, before I reinstalled windows (I left it unplugged when I first installed Windows to prevent a mistake), and it wouldn't even load Windows... Now I'm just making all kinds of  faces. I got online with an available laptop and talked to a friend of mine, to find that the new hard drive had been shipped with some "jumper" something-or-other set on the drive's jumper port (or 'ever it's called) so that if I tried to turn on the computer, that it'd boot from that disk. Makes me wonder why this didn't happen during the file transferring too, but 'ever. So after much frustration, I got that taken care of by removing said piece (about 2mm wide and 3mm long) and placing it onto the hard drive with Windows on it. I guess since it was the only hard drive attached this didn't cause a problem the first time... but now I know... LOL (it didn't have a jumper on it because it was the storage drive before). Then I barely had enough time to get back to work, so once I solved the problem I turned the computer off, worked my shift, then came home and reinstalled all the windows files, updates, antivirus, programs, etc. I've got everything back the way it should be minus a few programs I'll get again when I need them... I'm glad to be done with that for hopefully a LONG time!! Wakka is crazy :P ... only way you'd EVER get that fast of xp is if you had constant runners trading you INSIDE the altar. It's hard to get people doing that with just yourself consistently. You'd have to craft runes every 20 seconds to maintain that kind of xp.
  9. as well as earths! lol No, i can't say I've tried it, but can't really say I want to either... lava runes would be much harder to get rid of and i'd lose a ton of gp on it. Sorry this hasn't been very "daily" again. Was busy all week then went out to a friend's house tonight. I did decide to have some fun on photoshop after I had somebody look at something i did on the computer to make sure it looked ok. For all those who wonder why i don't respond to chat sometimes it's because I don't squint to read it.... no really it's often not easy... here's an example from IRC I'm sure it's not perfect.. but you can imagine it's hard to tell the glare i'm seeing from the glare i edited on the pic :P
  10. you already told me when you did fires it was slow because it bored you :P I'm guessing getting xp that fast in abyss would have to use super energies. My numbers in any of the methods don't reflect using super energies, but I'm sure they would increase fire xp similarly to how much they would increase abyss xp
  11. not sure which one i'm going for next. right now i just want 91 RC :P and I use dueling ring to Al Kharid then glory to Edge. Waste of rings to use castle wars instead
  12. I do fires for my levels. Here's why: I bought regular essence around level 75 to start doing fire runes for leveling (after the Pure Essence disaster). I bought 600k normal essence for 15gp each. I got a lot of "oh you should do laws!" when i talked with friends about it, and I tried a little bit of abyss, fires, and laws when I decides to look at all the numbers and see which would be the best profit over time, since I don't like any of the methods any more than the others (like any of it really). Doing the abyss I top out about 15k xp/hr, making an estimated average of 1,666 natures per hour. Doing the fire runes I make about 24k xp/hr, making about 9,000 fire runes and 306 death runes per hour (repairing pouches) Doing the free law runes, I never topped 25k xp/hr, which would consume 2631 pure ess/hour and that was only during peak times, since the runner:crafter ratio was ALWAYS a factor. ***** So at the time of my calculations (4.2m xp till 91) I kept all this in thought and ran the numbers for everything while I smithed. Natures via abyss: 280 hours: 4.2m xp at 15k xp/hr 116.7M profit: 466,666 nature runes for that much xp, factoring essence at 50 each when I estimated. ** Free Laws: 168 hours: 4.2m xp at 25k/hr at *minimum* 22.1M *LOSS*: 442k ess given away at 50 gp each ** Fire Runes: 175 hours: 4.2m xp at 24k xp/hr always 22.6M Profit: 175 hours to make 1,575K fire runes and 53,550 death runes = 34.9m price, using 7.8m worth of normal ess and 2.7m worth of normal ess, as well as 1.8m worth of dueling rings ----- So clearly laws are a no go, and at this points I just had to decide if I wanted to make natures or fires. At double natures I assume I can make 3332 natures an hour, for 916k profit per hr (people who use pots tell me it's 4k nats/hr but I don't know if they round up or not). So assuming I want to, you know, make some money after 91 RC (duh!), and that using fires will get me to 91 a whopping ONE HUNDRED FIVE hours faster (this is a TON), I decided to see how much money I'd make doing fires and THEN doing 100 hours of runecrafting, which would get me PAST level 91 in the same time doing JUST the abyss would make me reach that level (hope I didn't lose you!). Doing the fire runes I'm already at 22.6m profit. Doing 105 hours of level 91 runecrafting, I'm at 96.2m gp more, and 1.5m xp more, for a total of 118M profit AND over level 93 runecrafting. So in the same amount of time I weighed the two factors: 118M profit with level 93+ runecrafting vs 116M profit with level 91 runecrafting so for 2m more and 2 more levels, I'm doing fires :D ***** Rune ess prices have of course changed since then, and I didn't ever re-run the numbers, but it wouldn't be hard for somebody to do. Old prices: normal ess: 15 each pure ess: 50 each New: normal ess: 30 each? pure ess: 110 each I calculated the dueling rings at 1.5k each because that's what I sold them for when I was raising crafting... I acquired them at no cost if you count the profits i made crafting them :D Also assumed following sale prices: Deaths/natures: 300 each Fire Runes: 12 gp each
  13. Duly noted! the Holy Wrench will now have a little more notice on the prayer guide page!
  14. Don't believe that was mentioned. We assumed if players are going on a team that they trust each other enough for something like that to be irrelevant.
  15. I was too tired once I *finally* got it last night to get the picture uploaded... It was seriously *way* too late and I walked straight to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and went to bed lol. Then I proceeded to hit my snooze button several times this morning :P But here it is! [hide=RUNECRAFTING LEVEL PIC][/hide]
  16. sweet. Look forward to seeing you blowing raspberries in the fishing guild :P
  17. wow... didn't think you could even get an item without killing the brothers lol
  18. I make my money selling drugs... (legally mind you...) Something younger kids could do is find somebody who needs their lawn mowed or things like that. Something you could spend a little time doing on the weekend for somebody who is unable to do it on his or her own (or just doesn't want to). When I was 13 I did a ton of yard work for this guy for some extra spending money. If you really want membership though, try working something out with your parents. It isn't guaranteed they'll pay for your membership, but offering to do some extra chores for it never hurt anything.
  19. If you attack a slayer beast higher than you have the slayer level for, you will hit nothing but 0. I think you can still poison them though, as I've seen people do that at Abyssal Demons, unless it's been updated. Although it doesn't matter, I do believe your hit is still calculated even though you can't hit it. That's why you can still use Guthans on Kurasks and Turoths to heal even though it hits 0s.
  20. Doing so would be very expensive and time consuming, but I would hardly call it impossible by any means. If not for all the extra time and money it would require, it'd actually be quite easy. Here are some of the easiest ways to minimize combat XP while doing slayer (sorry if these have been mentioned): Recoil Rings: Let the enemy hit you without retaliating. Unfortunately this requires a lot of food and a lot of rings. Poison: Use things like a DDS (or to be really low hits, bronze dagger (p++) in order to use poison to kill your slayer tasks. You get the slayer xp but little to no hitpoints or combat xp. Unfortunately, this is very time consuming. Vengeance: This requires either 94 magic yourself or a friend with 93 Magic, as well as said person having completed the Lunar Diplomacy Quest, but it works much like a recoil ring for far more damage. Genies/Quests:Use all genies or quest xp lamps for Slayer. This is how a level 3 gets 54 slayer lol Cannon:Using a cannon will give no hitpoints XP, you just have to watch out for 99 range once that gets high.
  21. no trees = chance for lumberjack clothes
  22. Something is definitely going on with the shirt. I got all the pieces except boots the first night, with a few extra hats stocked up before I finally got a shirt. I figured I'd stop then since boots were going to come out after the glitch was fixed. So I continued the next day and got boots, then tried to get a second shirt... wasted way too much time on it and now have 10-15 each of hats and boots, and 5 trousers... but no second shirt =\
