I believe only Zsnes 9.0 and newer will support games like SMRPG that are "new" compared to most snes games . If you're playing it on an older version, you'll get a lot of glitches. That, or download the same rom from a different place. :) About ROMS: You can download one as a "backup copy" legally if you have bought the original cartridge. Theoretically downloading old games and emulators isn't a crime though; the company doesn't even produce them anymore so I don't see any moral problems with that. It's not even nearly comparable to downloading music online; the musician depends on the income to live on it. The company, Nintendo, Sega, etc. doesn't even get revenue from their old games anymore. It's like copying a book from the public library for your own personal use; I just don't see the problem since the author doesn't benefit from it no matter how you twist it, if his book is no longer for sale.

Here in Detroit people get shot so often the news often don't even bother to report the shootings anymore. There are always some people who die daily here because of gang wars or gang fights (about half of them are innocent bypassers and pedestrians), and every once in a while there's a big one where any number from 10 to 300 people die. But it mostly happens in "those" places, you shouldn't go there in the first place. Even most cops wont go there without massive backup. The saddest thing is that these gangs manage to recruit a lot of kids age 13-16. I mean by hundreds. And they're being used as "front troopers", which is quite certain death.

That's weird, I wouldn't even consider eating pizza in a car. That would make my car messy and the steering wheel would get greasy. Though, when I'm in a traffic light I sometimes drink soda or water from a bottle if I'm thirsty. But never when I'm driving.

If you endure so much pain you can't even feel your hands anymore after hacking at a tree with an axe for a long time, yeah you will experience a feeling of rage and everything else will go away from your mind. I've experienced this a lot of times at the gym when I thought "ok, now I gotta stop". As you keep pushing yourself more and more towards the goal (in my case doing more repetitions) you will find that actually there is no physical limitation to your rage until you are completely out of energy. Pain is just a side factor. When you're in such a stage you will only think about finishing your goal. You have been unconsciously programmed since you were a kid to avoid pain. When you experience it, you will try to cut it off as soon as possible because you're scared of it and how it might damage you. Yes, pain is a good warning indicator but when talking about cases where it's all about running out of energy, there is no limit to it except your mind. Don't believe your mind. Keep going until you have no energy left and you'll experience it.

Do you think animals are consciously aware they are living?
BlueLancer replied to Predator's topic in Off-Topic
Most animals are scientifically proven to life fully on instincts, but there are many exceptions like apes, chimpanzees, dolphins, etc. that don't necessarily base their life fully on their insticts as birds do (I'm just using a bird as an example of an animal which most likely has no idea it exists, it lives on it's instincts). When a bird builds it's nest, it does it purely based on instinct. It didn't "learn" to do so, it simply does so to protect it's offspring. -
Well, church and religion are actually 2 different things. Just because the church told people to kill "witches" in history it doesn't mean God wanted them to do so. They were free to choose. The church uses too many scare tactics, like "man is a born sinner". No he's not. "Good", "evil", and "sin" are products of the society and it decides what is good and what is not. When you're a child and steal another child's toy, the child doesn't know he's doing wrong. You need to teach the child which means you are installing your moral values on him or her. If you told the child "it's ok to steal toys", it would be totally natural to him/her. If stealing was widely accepted in the society, it wouldn't be considered "evil" or a "sin". It's simply what the majority of the society has decided (but then again, not even a thief would enjoy being robbed himself so it's pretty much common sense). Back when there were no "real" religions, since the first cavemen, everybody was free to excercise their own views on moral and ethics, so the world back then was full of stealing, poverty, rape etc. and later on people formed governments and kingdoms and decided which is accepted and which isn't. This has nothing to do with man "born as sinful". When you're born you don't have moral values. Everything every person on this planet has learned about values is the product of the society. It has nothing to do with the church.

If it's stimulating you muscles head on, and not in a way that will actually be used, it won't make you be stronger at all. You need to excersise in a way that will actually be useful to your muscles. That's why many football players do bench press, to stimulate their muscles in the act of pushing. Yeah, that's my point. Have fun with all the excercises that you think make your muscles look more "full", but if you stimulate your muscles in a way they're not naturally meant to be stimulated, it wont help at all. That's why you buy protein shakes that have the taste of strawberry, vanilla or chocolate (or banana or which ever flavour you can find and like). :P Nobody I know of uses 'standard' protein shakes anymore, drinking that is like drinking warm water when you're hungry. Flavoured protein shakes have good taste and still contain a lot of protein.

Age: 25 Height: 6'2 (about 190 cm) Weight: 230lbs (about 116kg though about no body fat at all) Max Bench: 330 lbs (about 170 kg) Max Squat: 750 lbs (about 325 kg) I assume you mean standard squat using shoulders? Max Deadlift: 610 lbs (about 305kg) I've trained since I was like 14 or early 15. Don't start it earlier because chances are that you could severely limit your growth (also bone growth) by trying too hard while being too young. Also you will see very fast results if you're young and start training (not suggesting anything but talking from experience), part because of fast metabolism and because your body is still being developed and it has a lot of hormones.

IMO if it's a good game (and as you said you're willing to pay for a fun MMORPG), the price isn't really an issue especially if it costs only $15 a month. That's an average of 50 cents a day. You probably spend at least$ 40 a month on soda and other things you don't need, $15 for playing a really awesome game for a month is nothing.

What kind of a job would that be? Cleaning the sewers? You wouldn't even bother for such a job. They're not "taking" any jobs, they're filling the ones nobody else wants to do. I don't see any illegal immigrants as a manager of a corporation? It's pure stupidity if you can find NO job at all, there is always something for somebody (though some people think the jobs are "humiliating"). If you don't know how to get a job, get more education or start a business of your own.

I agree with all the people who said mint or chocolate (or both combined). It is simply a superior and awesome combination, eating it is the entertainment of the gods. If you haven't tried it (which I doubt but just in case) then for pete's sake go and do it the next time you see mint-filled chocolate or chocolate-filled mint in a candy store or a supermarket.

I beg to differ. I guess you don't understand the meaning of satire? That's pretty much contradicting since his post was probably satire itself 8)

I have a level 29 warrior and level 48 priest on the Doomhammer server (I play USA). I would definitely pick WoW over Everquest 2. Why? Okay, first of all: EQ2 doesn't even have a pvp system. That's a major letdown. In WoW even if you play PvE (player vs environment), you can attack back people who raid your city. EQ2 lags too much, I watched my friend play it. I'm happy I didn't buy it. And WoW is getting a cool patch soon so that you can get ranks (but alliance/horde will have different ranks). A GM said there will also be a special rank "city protector" which allows you to teleport to your own city (Stormwind etc.) and you can only get it if you've had the most kills that week. There will be also other ranks like lieutenant and so on. They will be all based on how many players you've killed. It will be nearly impossible to "lame" kills for better equipment (you will be able to buy better stuff at the barracks when your rank gets higher) because if you kill a person repeatedly, the system will remember it and you'll get less and less points every time you kill the same person over and over again.

That's just funny, but no, your country has already passed a law which allows the imprisonment of an islamic person for no real reason at all by the decision of the police. Judging 1.5 billion islamic people, 1,500,000,000 based on what 19 of them did in 2001 is really smart. Though, I agree with the race issue: Just because you say "sorry, but no" to a racial minority, it doesn't mean you're being racist. There are too many racist stereotypes nowdadays it's almost comical and it can get you into trouble. A black man walks up to you on the street and asks "can you give me a million dollars". You say sorry, I don't have that kind of money. He says: "I knew it, just because I'm black you racist" There are racial stereotypes of all races, white, black, asian, any you can think of. The most ignorant thing I've heard so far is "white people can't experience racism". White people are a minority in the world, what the hell were you thinking? Of course they can experience it and do every day. So do people of every race. It's a problem that needs to be solved.

I find it funny that some of you say it doesn't work. I've been at the gym for like 10 years and I've seen a few people who use them and just chill out at the gym. It doesn't matter HOW your muscles are stimulated, they will still grow. It's as useless as those people who try to make their muscles "fuller" by doing excercises with their hands/etc in different directions. Newsflash: Your muscle doesn't know are you stretching it north or east, all it knows is that it's being stimulated. But I don't recommend them. Especially on your biceps or triceps (they look * up if you use the muscle stimulator for a long time, it just doesn't look.. Normal), they wont grow big; instead, they will be simply weird. I disagree with the negative fuss about creatine. It's extremely good for your muscles if you're an active trainer. Like 90% of all creatine you eat (actually it's just a combination of amino acids but your liver combines them) will go straight to your muscles, so you can be sure it DOES have an effect when you eat it. Creatine also promotes protein synthesis in your muscles which means you will have bigger and stronger muscles. You should read a book on different training suppliments such as creatine or ask a trainer before putting it down. Creatine is not necessary for training but it's extremely useful and you'll get guaranteed faster results if you use it. Remember there's no such thing as "not being able to gain muscle mass". Even if you're skinny you can get strong muscles with a few years of training given you don't have a testosterone problem in your body.

This is what pisses me off. There is no such thing as a "right" religion which makes you superior all of a sudden when you belong to it. It's about understanding the core philosophy of it. In this way, I prefer "The Way" which was invented by japanese samurai soldiers over 1500 years ago. It's not a religion. It's a set of moral codes and qualities; Love, compassion, understanding, forgiving, being generous, mentally strong, righteous. That's pretty much everything any religion on Earth teaches including christianity, except it's not a religion. Enlightened warriors wrote them down because they knew the world would be better off if everybody submitted to those basic moral codes. This doesn't mean everybody has to be a clone/robot: It simply means you hold those qualities. Let's think about "enlightment": In christianity, this means you try to become as close to Jesus as possible. It means you hold all the qualities he did during his life, which means you are living a morally perfect life. There are very few people who could live such a life, to name a few, Jesus and Gandhi. I don't claim to be able to do it but I try to develop myself all the time. I advise everybody to do so as well. It's not a question of religion, agnosticism or atheism. It's all about how you act and think. I'm not saying you should be like Gandhi or Jesus and necessarily make your own clothes, live on food donations, etc. to be a good person. What I mean is that the more of the above qualities listed above you hold, the stronger you are morally. Moral is just 1 area of life, and religion was originally meant to teach it to people (but sadly the words in the Bible, Qur'an etc. are so twisted nowadays that much of the good stuff is gone). But moral alone is not enough to be "enlightened". You need moral, intelligence and emotions. Those 3 things in my opinion make a real enlightened person and Jesus was one of the people able to hold all 3 of them. God=Absolute moral. Holy Spirit: Absolute intelligence. Jesus=Absolute emotion (love). That's how I'd view christianity if I was to study it.

Homosexual intercourse cannot lead to the procreation of the species, making it an abnormal sexual preference. It's common sense, not bible-humping. So what you and Astralinre are trying to say, is that the ultimate purpose of a human's life is to procreate. Thanks for voicing your opinion. As far as I know most people in the world use condoms while having sex which doesn't lead into procreation and I believe the pope himself said condoms are against God's will (if you're a christian that is) You can't decide to be gay, if you thought so, you're wrong. Most people can not "choose" their sexual orientation, though for some unknown reason women are generally far more bisexual than men. If you are gay, you were most likely born like that. How is it wrong that you're acting like your brains tell you to do? I must stress it again: It's hard, if not impossible to "choose" your sexuality. It's written deep in your mind and DNA, you can't control it. Restricting these people's right is ignorant, just like a few decades ago they were debating "should black people have equal rights in America". Now everybody knows that's a stupid and immature subject and it's only natural that everybody has same rights regardless of their skin color (which, too, you can not choose when you are born) Astralinre: You seem to forget the fact that nobody with a half of a brain will "change" their sexual preferences all of a sudden because somebody told them something false about how God dislikes them and how they're unnatural. By stating that you'll just get them farther away from church. So instead of trying to cope with the unchangeable fact that there will be always a 5-10% minority in the world who will have gay sexual preference, you're trying to change them? Just get over it: You can't do it. You can be a vegetarian and no matter how much you tell me it's wrong or against "God's plan" to eat meat, I'll eat as much of it as I want to, thanks. You don't have any right to judge anybody based on their preferences. I didn't choose to like beef, when I'm hungry, it's what I think of. It's my instict, I can't control it. I have a few gay friends both male and female. I don't see anything "wrong" about them. I can go to movies with them. I can go to an amusement park with them. I can eat in a restaurant with them. So what's the big deal? I couldn't care less what they do in their bedroom, I care about it just as much as they care about what toothbrush I use. I don't see how God, if he exists, would doom them to hell even after all the good they did in life, just because of their sexual preference. That's a laugh, like the church is, if that's it's stance on this issue.

I hate all music videos, especially the pop ones. They're so "me-too"'s, period. Mm, maybe I should get out of this thread...

Nah, e-commerce is totally different from pyramid schemes. A pyramid scheme is theoretically a scam like those iPod offers where you have to refer like 100 people under you and enter valid email/home addresses and sign up to tons of free trials, only then will you get an iPod. E-commerce is more like being a site affiliate, like for Amazon.com. So every time you refer a new customer to amazon, you'll get 20% of everything they spend (a lot of people put these ads on google and make huge money by "selling" books). Amazon benefits because they get guaranteed profit and only pay you the commission after the purchase is done. The only problem is that you'll need at least a few thousand dollars to start with advertising with big sites like google. I'm not sure if it's true what Tigra says about the "economy crashing" etc. but I agree that this is the right time to get to e-commerce. It's still a relatively small business area making billions annually it's extremely cheap and easy to get in compared to other businesses. You could compare it to being able to buy Microsoft stock in 1980; The next couple of years could make you rich if you know what you're doing because in a decade or so the goldrush is lost already.

Yeah, I click them every day usually. I don't really see that many ads if at all with spyware. And hey, if it generates funds for keeping the forum's server up, go for it and click them every 24 hours. It's a fast and effective way to show you appreciate the forums. :)

Somebody called me the other day with this one: Guy: Hey is your internet running? Me: Yes Guy: Then you better go catch it! I was laughing for like 5 minutes at it... I couldn't believe somebody would do a prank call like that :P This is one of the disadvantages of using the internet, when you read a joke it might seem lame but if you hear it in real life (like you did) it's actually funny :)

That's not the point, my point is that in a country where "in God we trust" is a motto, it's a bit strange to hand out medals that represent Satan.

There are many good games for all consoles but if we talk about past consoles then Goldeneye 007 For Nintendo64 is really fun to play especially in multiplayer mode with your friends. There are many maps to choose from and you can specify what kind of weapons you can use (like proximity bombs, power weapons, etc.) and you can choose a bond character from the old 007 movies like Oddjob etc. But it's the cool gameplay that makes it nice. But I can tell you it's not nearly as fun if you play it alone.

No, it's nowhere near a hot shower, but it's more refreshing and it purges toxins and heavy metals from your body, I've tried it. And by Finnish tradition you should jump in a lake immediately after coming out of the sauna to max. out the effect. Though that's pretty hard in Detroit.. Some people think it's torture to sit in a room where the heat is near 80 celsius degrees... I can tell you it doesn't "feel" that hot. If it was that hot outside you'd probably die very quick. In a sauna it's steamy and the air doesn't burn your skin, actually when you pour water on the stones it makes the sauna cooler, not warmer (but you will feel a wave of heat temporarily). There are probably no people in the world who have been killed by sauna heat (but you could faint if you're being stupid and raise the temperature to like 160 degrees celsius and faint, that's not the point, you need to know when it's too hot)
