    Please Lock.

No man can decide about any other man life, especially when choosing to terminate it
  2. i add some sig protection to the wall 44HP
  3. Don't understand why everyone wants to say how other people should live their lives... Player A - have a job, because he needs money Player B - don't have a job, because he don't need the money, or at his time of life, don't need/want one (before anything, if his living this way, it's because he can so....) 8h00 Player A and B wake up 9h00 Player A and B finished up higiene routine as well ate breakfest Player A leaves for work / Player B turns on computer 13h00 Player A leaves work for lunch break Player B leaves home to lunch with friends/ gf/ bf as they left for lunch break, being it at university or job 14h00 Player A and B return to job / home because lunch break ended 20h00 Player A goes home after a day working or meet friends and have a coffe and such Player B goes meet his friends and have a coffee and such 22h00 Player A logs in runescape for his 2h a day playtime Player B hangs on with gf/bf or in case don't have one, with friends or doing any other hobbie both end up sleeping and starts all over again Player A works 10h/sleeps 8h/ play runescape 2h/ socialize 4h Player B play runescape 10h/ sleeps 8h/ socialize 4-6h / other stuff 0-2h <- might be an healthy one perhaps ... now what's wrong with that? Should i say player B is doing his/her life in a wrong way?
  4. You missed the damn point. There wouldn't be anything wrong if the SSH was only good for doing one very specific thing. But it is basically a manditory item for any teams that want to attain high exp rates. Regardless of role. Rapier is the best slayer weapon, okay. But what is the best weapon for killing Kree? What is the best weapon for killing waterfiends? What is the single best weapon for PvP? (CR is great for PvP, but spec weapons are also used) If CR was the best weapon for every single scenario (not just every melee scenario, not just every stab scenario, but EVERY monster and every mini game etc..) then yes, the weapon would be a bore. SSH in DG is pretty much the best bind for every player to obtain to achieve maximum DG exp. If it was only the best bind for melee, or if it was only the best bind for keyers...that would be a different story. Obviously there will always be a best bow, a best weapon, etc. But these are for certain roles. But it seems like every role in DG would pretty much love to have a SSH. like when jagex added recipe for disaster and the 'dark' gloves were (still is?) the best glove for all styles?
  5. Thats completely different. None of them are unique, there are alternatives which are almost as good in most cases, and are significantly easier to get. when you say unique, you say like what? only head gear inside the dungeons that have that special? yeaah, so let me think.... i think pack yak is to good as a bob if you can use, since he can store a item to a bank far away (unique) ... . .. . .. i think slayer helmet is overpowered for slayer, since it gives me bonus for melee, range and magic, as well all the protections i need (unique) . .. . . .. . .. jagex should nerf or remove those, for balance with other items!!!
  6. i think chaotic rapier is to good for slayer and therefore, takes an option away for variety for weapon choice. i think pack yak is to good as a bob if you can use, and then takes options away from natural choice of bob i think dragon pickaxe is better than all.... i think ... i...
  7. banned for not knowing how to change display name xD
  8. Its an imperfect analogy, plus, theres no reason kid 3 doesn't have an xbox of his own, are you trying to imply that its a burden for a high level to complete mid level content? Because the reality is quite the opposite. The high level (kid 3), has easy access to all things kid 1 and 2 has, but not the other way around, high levels can do void stares back, low levels can't. No MMO can be cleared in a week of casual play o.O When a game stops being fun, its generally what you do. If it hasent been fun for a long time, well then you should have quit a long time ago. My endgame isnt the same as your endgame. Being able to self sufficiently PK with maybe the occasional farm run in between and maybe some dungeoneering is my final goal in runescape. and then i hope you can do those stuff, and you just think outside of your world, and see that an ocasional update that for you do nothing, but for others are very welcomed, do no harm to you. as for me, several if not almost all updates do very close to nothing to me, and just a few i can enjoy. and i dont mind that exists those kind of updates (i think they are necessary as well), but i just dont understand why bother you the kind of updates several of us ask?
  9. Oh my! so many options you give to me! On door number 1, as you spend so many hours of gameplay we offer you ... .. .. NOTHING, we just recomend you to QUIT But on the other hand, if you dont like quiting, we have, on door number 2 ... .. .. PVP But id you don't like PVP that much, and in you entire Runescape carrer, when you steped the wild, were trying to find some buried treasure, we can offer ... .. .. .. . .
  10. Thats a decent compromise, but only if it is in a single skill, and maybe in single increments. Firstly, lets look at the latest grandmaster quest, requireing 4 skills over the 70 range. Now this isnt really getting to the excessive part, but they are pretty high requirements. Now lets think about what a future elite quest might look like, if it slowly worked its way up to the 95 range, needing 4 skills at 95. The next quest may need 4 skills at 97, it looks like a small increment but... There is almost 2 million XP between 95-97. Which is 8 mill in a total of 4 skills. Which at say, 100k average experience per hour (more for things like herblore, but you have to take money into consideration, less for things like fishing), is still 80 hours for a single quest. Is that too much? I don't know. But i personally don't think it will improve the game to have those requirements there. yes it would still take a while, but i honestly think that the first higher requirements will come from faster skills, and quests now give a big chunck of xp. well i remember the 30k to choose were alot, WGS gave 400k, Nomad Requiem 70 zeal points that can give more than 400k in combat, Blood runs deep 450k to combat, this one 100k free to choose (if i got it right), and some more. Perhaps as difficulty of requirements increase, the xp reward does as well (not directly, as this one gave less than others), so maybe a big part of those 8mill are given from the previous quests, using them on the most slowest ones, improves the average xp per hour, and maybe you will only need like 40-50h its some time, but even for the average scaper, still doable to be ready to do the quest not so long after release. oh and don't forget the time elapsed from one quest to another, if you are already at level 95 from previous quest, chance are that the average scaper at least in one of them, choosed to aim for the 99 to get the skill cape, and got before the new quest.
  11. Maybe the journey of 200 hours of fishing grind is fun and joyful for you... Now just imagine how absurd it was, that instead of jumping from max required level of fishing 60's or 70's to directly to 97, they first make a quest that requires like 75, then some time after one that requires around 80's, and so on till they make one in the 90's. wouldnt that be different? like i said before
  12. Some players might say: Having medium requirements (20's isnt that bad though) don't actually add anything to the game outside forcing grind, so why should they be there? You say: Others like me say: Having high requirements (around 90's) can actually bring content to the game. Like many examples used before on this thread. Now why does we think in a different way? Most i think it's because some people just want to be able to do anything without much effort, that everything is granted to them, others don't. I myself feel an different joy when something is added to the game and i still can't do it, it makes the whole path till i complete a fun and enjoying one. I also think that some storylines must deserve some high requirements as we meet some special charaters of Runescape history.
  13. Very insightful post /end sarcasm I don't think it will be zarfot. Even though most are rooting for him, you have to take in account most of his 200m skills are in buyables and quick skills, while others like suomi and drumgun have their 200m skills in slow and tedious skills. Zarfot doesn't play as much as them, and will probably fall behind by the end of this year I think. Not that i want one or another to be first, but the natural course of skill its that they become easier and faster, so i do think doing the slow ones now may be kinda of a waste of time. Because imagine that some new method of fishing apears that is 50% faster than the current one, Zarfot could then more easily and with less time achieve 200m on fish. I respect both of them, but i think the smart move is doing the fastest ones already first. To be honest, I don't think it matters what category of skills you decide to train first. You train a slow one, it takes you longer to get 200M exp. You train a fast one, it takes you shorter to get 200M exp. Train one skill to 200M exp, then the other to 200M exp, either one you choose first, you will get to 200M exp in both skills in the same time frame. We don't know fishing will get a 50% increase in speed or not. Fletching is getting a make x -> make all option which will in my opinion make the process of fletching, one of the easier skills, much easier and faster to train. I think whoever gets to 200M exp in all skills will be the most efficient (not play all day), training skills in a sequence that will benefit other skills later on and achieve maximum experience growth in a shorter amount of time, a large amount of GP to train the most expensive methods because in most cases they are the fastest methods (this would require to merchant) etc. PRESENT: Player 1 does 200m xp in SKILL 1 in A amount of time Player 2 does 200m xp in SKILL 2 in B amount of time With A < B (SKILL 1 faster than SKILL 2) FUTURE: apears an update that make both of those skills X% faster with X > 0 Player 1 does now 200m xp in SKILL 2 wich will take B/(1+X/100) Player 2 does now 200m xp in SKILL 1 wich will take A/(1+X/100) Now wich one is faster? doing the fastest one now or the slow one now? i'll use C = 1 + X/100 Since A < B , exists an U > 0 that A + U = B A + B/C = A + U/C + A/C (Player 1 total time) B + A/C = A + U + A/C (Player 2 total time) since A = A, A/C = A/C and U/C < U , because C > 1 we get Player 1 total time < Player 2 total time and therefore the order that you choose to do skills based on the fact that there will be even if the slightest improvement on speed of skills matters and also it shows that doing the faster one now, saves time later

  15. Sir Kurity you find quests fun, i do as well you think that requiring some higher level takes the fun out, i dont. you think that some level 60 or 70 in any skill should be enough for all quests, i disagree... when we aproach some end of storylines and we meet some genious devices ploted by some masterminds from the pass (of Runescape) i think that should indeed require higher levels to complete, or were they just that weak, that anyone could just beat them? do i think that quests should jump their higher actual requiremnt, of 70? 80? directly to 97, no i dont think so, but as more grandmasters quests or special quests, and perhaps a new category of quests are released, the levels to complete them should as well. Now let me change completly my point of view, imagine that i simply hate lets say Agility, why in the hell i need to traing agility till 69 to be able to complete all quests? i find it boring to train and so i think jagex shouldnt release that kind of requirement to quests, but you say that around 70's its ok? why is it?
  16. Prove that training any skill for 200 hours isn't fun. Go train fishing for 200 hours, come back and tell me you had 100% fun doing it, then you can use that as proof. Sorry but that is just an idiotic thing to say. The thing is, those arguing for higher requirements have't really said any reasons for it. The reasons for lower requirements without excess grind is to make the game fun, which we should all essentially be playing it for, and should be the groundwork and basis for any game that exists. Lower requirements let players train skills at their own pace going through the game without overloading them with all quests at once, but letting them get the levels through other quests, random musings, money making etc. Grinding for requirements however has no point. They don't need to be there. for me, there sould exist quests that need some elite requirements, im not saying making all of them like that, not even close, i do agree that most should be mid level, but some (just a few) should be for elite. we have up till grandmaster, what if they just add another category, a harder one, with higher requirements, would that harm all players? as i recall, the ideia of elite diarys was a good one, why not do the same to quests, but as i said, just a few, one to start perhaps ;) if we shouldnt grind for requirements, everything in this game should be available at level 1...
  17. So whats the point in making quests? shouldnt they make sense while they cover some of the storylines of runescape? Or should we do quests like go talk with John Doe, after that ignore everything he said to you, doesnt matter at all, and now go kill some prety monster, just becouse i say so! but why? who cares?! just go kill and then i will give you a lamp that gives 10k xp and some prety weapon with a cherry on top. wohoo, what a FUN QUEST!!! one thing you dont have in mind is that, there are levels of quest, novice, intermediate, experienced, master and grandmaster. So each level of quest, should require some higher patamar of skills as well. if for instance one of the levels you couldnt meat, you just dont do the quest, as if you dont have some levels in all skills, you cant do some part of the game. live with it oh! and i would for sure have plenty of fun doing a quest where i would be some major hero, that would assemble a mega army and prepare to go to a legendary war! and if on the way i would have to go deep on the underground to find that mystic lake and so and so, i would enjoy it as well, perhaps those caves would have some challengs, or some guardians, that would make the travel awesome! :P "and it doesnt make sense to have to catch over 100 thousand fish just to please a king with some magical fish" The part of that quest would only be catching some uber rare and delicious fish, so you could please some of the allys. I believe you are getting the things wrong, its not becouse the quest have some difficult and for someone not fun to get requirements that it becomes more or less FUN
  18. I never said there should be no skill requirements, but excessive skill requirements which need insane amounts of grind does anything but improve the game. i understand what your trying to say, but imagine that you are a King of some major country, and information gets to you that some major demons from the pass are getting ressurected and the one behind that is aiming your country, you see that with your current army you got no chance, and you decide to invite all kings from all others countrys to make an aliance that never existed before, and for that to start with the right foot, you decide to please all of them on your kingdom. Now for that would you want for instance a help of someone who can crack till the end of the world where some mystical fish lives, wich only the most skilleds can fish and then cook, or you want to treat them with some 'vulgar' lobster? would you want to give as a gift a beatifull bow, that requires ancient magic wood, or a yew bow? and so on ... so you can with all that gifts gain their side, so they all join you in some mega war, and to join all the army they need some HERO, a man/woman who fighting skills fewer can achieve, that the army just by standing near to him/her glows confidance and bravery, or would you want a man who doesnt even have the strengh to lift up some rune weapon? Can you see where im going? that what i think of a quest that sould indeed require some elite requirements, as we aproach some near end / end of major storylines. Now should every other week quest have higher requirements? no, of course not. But should a few quests have some elite requirements? you know my answer
  19. i just think JAGEX should remake all quests and just remove skill requirements on all of them! oh my, imagine what would that be, if i complety unskilled could reveal all mysteries from mahjarrat, and ancient secrets, or help someone without having a clue of what im doing? wouldnt that be LAME? of course skill levels are required to do quests, if you dont have, well you got two options, train and do the quest or dont! but dont come tell that it shouldnt have some higher requirements, i just hope when we proceed to some near end storylines, that include awesome charaters, that we should be as just qualified as them.
