You just said a load of junk about game...? And then you said they where equal. Then you said...But the longsword beats them both. Therefore it is the best... Maybe your argument would be valid if you gave each weapon to a level 3, which wanted to get a 'GF'. Who didn't have any prayer/pots or stat boosting armor. Where the longsword's mediocre bonuses would actually account for its mediocre speed. In any other scenario it fails compaired to the rapier and maul. I wonder if you come up with this bs just to piss people off.

Why not get a maul? It has even higher strength! Face it. This thread is going to go on forever; because people still say they want the long for its power. Then you tell them the maul is more powerful. Then they say the maul is slower. Then you tell them that the long is slower than the rapier. Then they go back to their argument about power, even when you just told them a few seconds ago... It's a never ending cycle of noob. /Thread

In theory, slower, but the degrading mostly depends on how many monsters you are killing at once- for example, the rapier wouldn't last 5 hours at lighthouse dagannoths, but would last extremely long(~50 hours) at low hp monsters like greater demons. For me, a rapier lasts for around 900k slayer xp(only tasks with rapier counted, using it on every task). 9th charge going right now... But even at a slayer task killing dragannoths you will be still killing them quicker than a cls. Also even if you where getting 99 str there. It'd still be slower, as you will get 99 faster. Because you will still leave quicker than a cls.

No, in theory it should degrade slower. As it kills most things faster. Therefore you wont be engaged in combat as long.

How will the best accuracy boosting thing in the shield slot be bad? That coupled with cls and cr will just slaughter things, as if they're already dead. Ownage awaits.

Maybe you're point is valid in terms of deep wildy pvp where its good for using you're opponents food because they can't really run to safety. But In normal fights rapier just doesn't have the KOing ability like the CLS and CM. You wan't them to die, not keep eating and run/tele because they're nearly out of food.

No, I only used the CLS for higher defence monsters. As I know whip is better for low defence monsters already.

I've been trying CLS with slayer. It's much faster than whip for kills. I even tried stab at mith drags. I basically hit constant 400-500's. I think the added accuracy from the CLS gives it an edge over the rapier in all situations where the monster/player has higher defence. If the monster/player has low defence. The only thing that makes the rapier better than a whip is the str boost as accuracy doesn't really matter for those.

Dungeoneering - The nerf of "Rushing"
I have been wondering about this, is doing floors 1-25 on level 1-3 complexity really better than doing them all on 6 complexity with a 5 man team? With a really good group I was able to complete each floor anywhere from 2-4 minutes depending on the boss, so for an average of ~ 3 minutes. 3 x 25 = 75 minutes so doing Floors 1-25 in about 1 hour 15 minutes at a good pace. I have done the lower floors at complexity 6 with a 5 man group but I didn't really average it over a decent amount of time. When I timed it though each floor was taking about 8-10 minutes to complete. I'm not really sure which method is better, I'm guessing both ways would be really close in overall experience. Yes it is way faster. Me and my friend had a race to lvl 80. I won by far. By using the f1-29 complexity 1-3 method. Where as my friend "rushed" f1-29 at 5:5 for each floor and got onto the F30-35 floors much more slowly; thus making her training method "WAY" slower xp. She even trained it for more hours than me. I got 80 while she was still at 78.

C rapier vs C longsword
I've got a CLS; and all its basically good for is sara, dk's and td's. Otherwise rapier/gs would be better. I regret getting it.

I have to say, that sheild looks like it could compete with elysian in terms of how good it is. Its 90+ slash def would be good even without the percentage decrease. I doubt its better than divine though.

This is the exact reason. When people invite you into their team they are risk taking, in terms of you might suck/lag the team, or help the team. More often than not; people with 130+ cb are going to be a better gamble. I for one know that waiting for a team can take a long time. But having someone in your team that doesn't know what they're doing can make the dungeon take a whole lot longer. Not to mention people with lower than 130 are alot less likley to do damage on some of the higher level monsters and take alot more damage than a 130+ would. Therefore, using more of the teams' food.
