  1. Il use Crafting as an example instead then, as anything over 90 is unneeded in normal rs. It's unfair of you to consign this to "normal rs." If 99 has use in Dungeoneering, I would count it.
  2. Someone who gets a 99 purely to be on the top highscores IS a nerd. You thought otherwise? Give me a break... People who get a 99 due to the benefits of getting that level, such as things that actually give you an in-game advantage (whether it be money or unlocks) aren't nerds, because they are doing it for an actual reason. So i should stop fishing at 90 because there are no other fish after that? If I dont im a hardcore nerd? Flawed logic. Level 99 Fishing allows you to fish faster. Any XP over 99 does nothing for you.
  3. There are several amulets - at least 3. You are right though, there is no cape. Explain? It's opaque, like the Ghostly Robes. What else could it be but the Cloak of Shadows referenced in the notes? As above, Squisher could be right. The Cloak of Shadows sounds rather powerful, and isn't in the game yet. It's a cloak, which would be by itself in that slot.
  4. You could consider a Promethium Chainbody. It gives great melee Defense and no Ranged penalties...
  5. I've never had a problem player on a 5:5. The only player who has come close to being a "problem" was this level 120 something who was max except for extremely low Defense (38-45 or so...?) who didn't want to get wrecked by the monsters. He got mad at me a lot since I was the team leader and would lead the rest to clear out dead-end rooms that had high level resources in them. On a 3:3 though, with friends... Lol... The lowest of us accidentally ran into the boss room. None of us were exactly prepared... But my other friend and I ran in behind him anyway. When the boss turned to attack us, he home teleported. He actually got enough time for it to work, too. This was on that boss Harlok the Riftsplitter. AKA Barnie. Repentance was given to me later though, for that particular friend. We were fighting Lexicus the librarian. I believe that I rushed in, partially prepared, and my friend followed. I was about to die for lack of food so I said "Feed me!!" and my friend used food on me. I then escaped just in time for a book barrage to land and KO my buddy. Priceless moments. Anyone else think that the shade room and book mage are hella overpowered on 5:5s?
  6. +10 more range accuracy than rune cbow, + no spec, = about what I expected. If I were to get all chaotic weapons, this would have to be second to last. Last of course being the staff because it's basically a degradable version of the SoL with but one more mage accuracy but no spec or rune savings. 80 Dungeneering Vs 93 Slayer, I can guess which item would be better. The one that degrades at 200k/hr should be better. Also, you don't need 93 slayer to use an SOL. You do need 80 dungeoneering, which is a pretty big time investment. If they had just given it a 20 or 25% magic damage boost and then made it 2h, it would have been fine. Does anyone have a picture of the staff yet? The Chaotic Crossbow looks really cool; I have high hopes for the staff...! Oh, and I figure they made it 1h because it's the only magic weapon released, and they probably intend for it to be used with its corresponding shield. ~ Speaking of, do we have any pictures of the shields yet? I'm curious about those as well... Also, does anyone think that they will release a +20% necklace with batch 2?
  7. Actually, I'm pretty sure using the 2H is the best choice in groups of 5, seeing as how you still have two attack types and a lot more power behind it. ~ And aside from personal experience I think this has been said here on this thread somewhere too... Does anyone have a link to a list of monster weaknesses for Dungeoneering?
  8. You think that's bad, I've got *every* item in that damn box up until this stupid banner. Maybe I should just give in, wire money over and continue my trend of having a full holiday set. Wretches. They know 9 year players like me can't do without this kind of thing. Oh, wait, you can buy a ticket even if you can't use it? Okay. I guess I do have a fair chance... Or at least I would if it wasn't over $80... Oh just BTW I probably wouldn't care about anything else in the holiday box if I had the Scythe and Bunny Ears. ... Maybe Easter Ring... Still. Count yourself lucky that you can remember what you were doing 6 years ago!!
  9. It IS an NPC. The arrow on it means that it is a marked NPC. No, silly. That was my picture. Look below that for the link to the RSWiki page.
  10. Err, what do you mean "actual" picture of the inventory pic? Couldn't they just rip that off of the KB as well? Bind two Primal items, get a third as a monster drop... That leaves four to get from super super super rare monster drops... And unless you personally have gotten something Primal as a drop from a Primal warrior, I wouldn't believe it. I've done about 30 5:5 or 4:4 larges and if you're lucky you might get 10 Primal warriors each... So let's exaggerate a bit and say I've killed 300 Primal warriors. And I haven't seen one Primal item from any of them... I'm still leaning with it being a picture of an NPC from the perfect angle.
  11. I have every holiday item starting at the Yo-yo. This will create a little hole in my holiday item box... One which I didn't get a fair chance to fill...
  12. Primal Spear! :D Also... Someone wanna tell me what BS RSWiki is trying to pull?: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Primal_platebody Probably just a close up of an NPC in full Primal, but still. Everywhere they use that picture, it says "A player with the Primal set equipped." Oh... Double post... Sue me.
  13. "Maul is nice, but rapier can beat it." Oh I guess can = could now. Intrestin' Just saying how he thinks 2 hits makes it better than the maul. I guess hitting a 500 beats hitting an 850 now too? Nice logic guys. If you can combo 500's easily, it might be better. You can't eat 500 hp before he hits again. If the other guy was wielding the maul and got killed, I'd say that the rapier can beat the maul...
  14. Ah, so true. This right here is one of the biggest annoyances I had with city of heroes. In your average PuG you were pretty much guaranteed to have half the team quit in the first half hour unless you are really lucky, or doing something like farming (which is pretty much all they ever do in that game now...) I don't get it, really. Maybe it just goes along with general stupidity / lack of common sense, which is apparently extremely prevalent in mainstream MMOs these days. Probably why I play RS. Very solo friendly. Class based games that require constant player interaction can get really annoying for the reasons you mentioned. This is why I try not to play with randoms; However, both of the large dungeons I've played that I had to recruit more than one for from outside of my usual friends circle went quite well. Oh, I've got to ask though, did they just leave randomly and not ever come back? Because really, it's perfectly easy enough for a team of four to complete a five man dungeon (read: aside from perhaps a lever or emote room or boss) and not be slowed down too much. I've played many games where we just had the fifth person start with us and then leave and come back about halfway in and it was perfectly fine. Plus, you know, the game does recommend that you only do 3:5 or 4:5 and warns you about possible repercussions. Really, reduced XP would be better than no XP if you don't trust your team. UNRELATED: Thanks to yesterday's log in server crash, I lost my 125 Saggitarian Arrows, Prometheum Chainbody and Spear, and two medium duos' worth of XP. #-o ~ The Chainbody and Spear were not gained during those two floors!!
  15. You guys must all be posting stale pictures or something... :( :( ~ Oh, it's been this way for 20 min I think.
  16. Few pages late but could you please tell us what floor that is?
  17. Just got Catalytic Celestial in a duo, lol. Rarely do I get anything worth anything from duos. Unfortunately, neither of us could us it anyway, so it went to waste... I found it peculiar that it said "You must have a Magic level of 99 or higher to wield this item." or something along those lines. EDIT: Has anyone else noticed that you get rewarded more (as far as drops go) for attacking monsters with their triangle weakness?
  18. Doomcore Staff... Nechryael. "It has been cursed with dark energies, clouding the mind of the wielder."
  19. Doomcore Staff... Nechryael. "It has been cursed with dark energies, clouding the mind of the wielder."
  20. I think I'll be waiting for Chaotic 2H thank you. :) - With pack 2, of course. Just one small point - Why aren't the bow/staff made of different materials than the other weapons/shields?
  21. Indeedo =) From the Dung Q&A: That's incredibly unfortunate, as I was just thinking the exact same thing - "RuneScape as it should be..." If this is not what they meant about balancing the combat triangle, then what did they mean? Maybe we can hope for a PvP version of Dungeoneering or something. Unrelated: Has anyone obtained that level 98 Ranged Hex Bow (or whatever it's called)?
  22. Rubies are red. So a red dragon! Oh. We already have those. ... Dragon armor is red. So a dragon dragon! Awesome thought process.
  23. You should be fair, not nice.
