People like you are why the economy is going to [cabbage]. :wall: Well not realy I'm not out there spending it all on expensive items. In fact most of this money will go to buyable 99's like summoning. There are alot of people with over 100M in statues who havn't cashed them in yet and they are people who plan to buy alot of items which they couldn't afford before. It's inflation I know but it's a side effect of brawler hunting. You have every right to be mad at people for tricking but it's something you could join in on with almost 0 risk of losing money. But we can't ever be as lucky as you. What is this, #10? #15? You could do good things with that money. Like plunge the Grand Exchange of Spirit Shards. And then use them! Is that you in the Bandos? Wearing expensive items, getting expensive drops... :-k

PvP Artifacts and It's Effect on Runescape Economy
This is the only part that isn't true. Special items should be worth getting. Let's take Infinity as a prime example. It is no longer worthwhile to exchange points for most MTA items due to their low prices. And I can say with certainty that if things had gone on as they were, MTA items would have never become like this naturally, because the demand wouldn't have fallen so far under the supply. As it was before, PvP was providing a much easier outlet of unique items than obtaining the items from their original source, therefore ruining some or most of the play values of many different game contents. im pretty sure that in the infinity robes/mage book/master wand's case, that the mage training arena bot that was floating around for a few months made a muck of the infinity/w/e prices, pvp just added a bit more supply to it. What about the Dragon Full Helm and Dragon Fire Shield? The drop tables completely ruined Mithril Dragons and cut deeply into visage hunters. I was unaware of a MTA bot, but seeing a huge amount of pictures (mostly on this particular Forum) led me to believe that Infinity was extremely common as a drop. Plus, I myself probably got at least one of every wand, and a Mages Book (and I really didn't PK or trick often before these items were removed). Ravenkana, I said as a prime example. I obviously wasn't concerning only MTA items. Don't overreact.

I wish there were a special 1900 or 2000 total forum group too. Obviously it's not as much work as maxing everything but I'd assume there's a lot more people who have a 2000 total level than 2376 who could be considered 'normal', while many maxed players with the exception of course of our lovely Olly, Giga, Bunkie, and Omustardo (some others too) could be called eccentric, to put it nicely. I'd say most with 1800-1900-2000-2367 definitely should have a bit more weight than others, but as we've seen from the pictures, it doesn't take as much intelligence as you'd think to max out. My point is that you shouldn't have to be maxed for them to know that you have experience and therefore an opinion that reaches further, and that, in fact, many people with maxed accounts really aren't all that great to be the only ones specially considered by JaGEx.

GAH! :wall: That's only the majority of my bank value right there... -.- It's like trying to run and jump and latch onto a moving 18-wheeler that keeps getting further and further away. I don't have one, I want one, when will they crash?

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
yeah I never got around to playing Painkiller back in the day, likewise for Serious Sam. Btw did you hear about the Serious Sam HD remake they are doing? No, but more    for that! I wish they'd do the same for all of the old ID Software games too...

PvP Artifacts and It's Effect on Runescape Economy
What about those of us who don't do it because as a form of gameplay it sucks? It just isn't fun (except for the insane rewards). Then I'd say that you're also missing out. Your given reason doesn't really matter, you're still being hurt unfortunately... I hate to say it but I'm nothing short of obligating everyone capable to do it. To semi-quote the recent tip.it times, dont force me to play the way you see as fun or "the true way." JaGeX shouldn't nerf the rest of the game so much that there is now only one effective way to make money, and that all other methods (Short of 91 rcing to even rival it) are now obselete. This is saying "the only way to make money, and have fun, is to do exactly what I say and never stop ." Shouldnt there be more that one way to play? Is that not the point of an RPG? To make a character into what you want and do what you want with it? To be a stupid american: You are encroaching upon my freedoms! :shame: . #-o =D> =D> By the way Aspeeder, thanks again for the Pyramid plunder advice. Apparently you're not such an idiot in Help & Advice. But you are here. And here is why. I never said that PvP is fun. I never said that I find 26k'ing fun. I never said that you should 26k and nothing else. In fact, I said you shouldn't. I never said that 26k'ing should be the main source of income. In fact, I said that it was not balanced and should be changed. I never said that all Americans were stupid. In fact, you did, and you're a bit of an [wagon] hole for it. In fact, you're a bit of an [wagon] hole for so totally twisting my message. In fact, what I did say was that I encourage people to do some tricking if they care about their value because the system is broken and there isn't another way to keep up. In fact, I am using simple repetition because apparently last time you weren't able to grasp what I was really saying. But it is not because they have a moral stance on the issue, it's because they don't PK. And I never stated the game wasn't centered around combat. I agree, he just said "other money making techniques." And every other combat-based method of making money including going to GWD is being outpaced by this new pking system. If this is the way you want to focus everything then you may as well just take out everything else in the game and just 26k yourself into eternity. Once again, thanks for understanding what I was saying.

Your given reason doesn't really matter, you're still being hurt unfortunately... I hate to say it but I'm nothing short of obligating everyone capable to do it. The game isn't just about PvP, yet it's bringing in the largest margins of profit. If it's going to bring money into the game (without referring to actual profit per player) then it needs a proportional amount with a near equivalent to the risks involved and other money making techniques. Why did you quote us? Sorry; I missed how your statement was relevant to this particular point at all, unless you are saying that it should be more balanced with other sources of revenue. If that is what you're saying, then I don't think that anyone here denies the need for change. However, I believe that inflation is a more important problem to be addressed quicker, and also that balance issues will be fixed if PvP is tweaked. For the time being, my original point is that if you sit out, for whatever reason, you will be hurt by this. If you decide to participate, you don't have to overdo it and generate hundreds of millions. Rather, everyone should do it enough to keep their relative values the same. You also bring up an entirely unrelated argument about combat not being the focus of the game. I'll stop myself short of a long drawn out correction and subsequent rant on skillers to simply say that, yes, combat is the main focus of the game, as all skills either aid combat directly, have features which can help combat, or support other skills with one or both of the aforementioned properties. Everything connects back to combat in some way. I'd encourage you to reflect upon some of these different connections.

Just picked up 2 x Bandos Godsword, not for the intention of merchanting but it looks like they'll be going up soon anyway. Please no-one trust my judgment in these matters...

I feel sorry for all of you who won't participate because it's wrong. There's no sense in being noble here because a few people sitting out isn't going to slow it down any noticeable bit. If you choose not to go with the flow your cash values will tumult (as we are discussing). The only way to be clear of the problem is to add to it... :| IF JaGEx comes to its senses (because JaGEx is a company and therefore a single entity!) and changes things for the better (which is what we really should be discussing now - a solution) then all of the extra cash you've accumulated will go back to the same value as before...

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
  I've never met someone else who has heard of Painkiller, much less played it! And Serious Sam is a classic. And I don't know the others.

Pyramid Plunder!
Thanks all! I've found out some additional things as well. And I've been using your tips! The entire thing isn't as random as it seems - everyone in your instance has the same path. Also, the door into the pyramid and possibly also the path inside remain the same for around 5 min. and the door in is also the same for everyone. These facts make it clear that doing it on the theme world is a better option than alone, as people can search different doors at once, meaning less trial and error individually.

Ghosts in the Grand Exchange
We barely even have a confirmed sighting, and not even that much according to the skeptics. A better question would be are they even selectable?

Pyramid Plunder!
I've finally found a Thieving route that isn't extremely boring! But I do have some questions. My friend (your fellow Tipiter Link) gave me a little walk through. From what he showed me, all you do is find all of the doors to the highest level you can get to, and then loot all of the urns, then the central box, and then the sarcophagus. I never knew it was so simple... Does it stay that simple for the higher rooms? We can both only go as high as 61. What do you do if you have extra time? Just leave? What about when we can get to higher rooms? Will we still have enough time to loot everything? Why do people go in there in Black Dragonhide and robes? I've been using max melee Defense and got to see a level 120+ torn apart by beetles... What does the mummy mean by she's resetting everything [after the scepter was found]? The deals were still looted for me. Why am I kicked/hit (apparently by the mummy) upon trying to enter the pyramid again [sometimes]?

[hide=] Thanks. :) Bob: 99 sum will drain a bit of it #-o where as 99 mining wont drain any  Would you please shut up about mining. Litterally everything you post has something to do with it, usually you just randomly tell people to 'get up their mining' or something. Seriously, we do not care. Most people have enough brain cells to decide if they want to train mining for themselves, without needing you for advice. Thanks. Normally i wouldnt post but....GO DJAY! GO DJAY!  hehehe... D Jay misspelt Literally... :x May I be the first to ask you, Why the hell do you have 408 Morrigans Javelins? Wouldn't like 20 be enough to last for a long time? Also, Congratulations on 99 Slayer, my favorite skill, and the skillcape that i wish to own sometime. [/hide] Oh wow, didn't even notice those Krampell. Once again Brunobear, nice job!
