  1. Thanks for this guide! I'm finally doing the 97-100+ stretch and was wondering what my "permanent" third bind would/should be after I get finished [bleep]ing around playing with others! Well, the first post helped. I'm not sure what the rest of the thread accomplished :-? I'm a bit unhappy that testing has rendered the Prim Rapier "redundant" if used with the Battleaxe, but I'm glad that I know now.
  2. Looks like they may be preset floors instead of randomized? If that's the case, some people will just turn DG into a grind too... So hopefully not. InB4 they require a player for each character. And I have my money on an additional ammo bind, but not main one...
  3. Super necrothread there, but I was actually wondering where this went. :) Lol and sniping. Oooh TIF traditions!
  4. Nice level for 2220th. Hopefully 3 more!! Sorry, no TY DGS on this one. Some day, maybe... And, err, @the above... Zokot, posting an inflammatory image deliberately taking sides isn't helping anything. You're not in the right either.
  5. I'd giggle if Thok was really the one to tear out that eye.
  6. Rule 34 plz And lol@us forgetting to kill Skinweaver first in this fungeon. And behold! The dericious Kraft armor!
  7. That sounded a bit jelly. Lol. I thought this was a Dev Blog at first. And then I wondered why it wasn't... I should think that only zealots would join RS on FB, which are the kind of players they would want (or possibly the only ones they can reach) for these kind of events... Honestly, if they just gave right-click flagging options to the few players left that actually care, they'd get quite a bit of free labor... Not talking P-Mods. Try Bot Death Squad or something more specifically tailored. Generally, P-Mods are only a nuisance to real players.
  8. No one caught this? :P Also, they had enough foresight to update the Draynor robbery cutscene, although unfortunately I can't take screenshots in full screen for some reason (they turn out black...).
  9. Yeah, actually. Just as a progress report kinda thing - I got off 34 scrolls in its lifetime, although this included banking once and using Spiritualize Familiar, giving 7 minutes more to its timer. Every scroll banks 34 Pure Ess so that made for 1156 total Ess mined... 1 Abyssal Titan Pouch 34 Essence Shipment Scrolls 1 Shark 2 Astral, 3 Cosmic, 5 Body Runes Was nice to do, but only once. Lol.
  10. Mining with Herpes Titan. :) I've wanted to try this since I got 93 Summoning but so far have only used it for Ardougne Elite... Two things - Either the mining armor does nothing for ess, or it does so little it's hard to notice My gold-trimmed rune pick turns normal when I mine with it...
  11. I got to watch my "teammate" with at least Torva run behind the ladder in our base and into the starting room as often as possible while someone with the mage set barrage spammed a third of my team. Granted, I was there, used Venge Group once, and solved the problem, but the amount that player could have helped would have been significant. Just one player can make a difference; winning comes down to how many game-changing players a team has. Some parallel to voter efficacy can be made but I really don't feel like it at the moment... And if you look back a few pages I partially agreed with you, Cheeze. But I'm really not liking these justifications, especially when they're laid out so selfishly and an easier and possibly better solution was that easy to think of. Umm, Rocked, I had to press ctrl-f and search the page for evil. I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that that's what I'm saying.
  12. No, certain activities are selective, like dungeoneering. In a selective activity, we have the right to team up with whoever we please. In larger activities like cw, there is no selection system, other than hopping worlds. Because of this, everyone has the right to play as they please without having to worry much about being "deselected" from a team. Therefore, there's no real reason to succeed other than for personal gain. Once you get into cw clans, this all changes... that's now what I'm talking about. You can personally be selective with CW too, though, without being in an actual CW clan. It would be easier for you and other "loafers", if you want to call yourself that, to simply join an unpopulated world. This would even be faster, as you wouldn't have to set your schedule around the end/start times of the theme worlds. AFAIK, worlds with no one in the waiting rooms will begin exactly 5 minutes after one person joins each team. There really just seem to be a few compromises that would make those who actually want to play and those whom are only there for the Comp(T) requirement happy without requiring much more effort.
  13. The way you phrased it sounded more like spiting them was your goal... You said you hate people slacking in the activities you enjoy, and then defended your loafing in CW, which you'll have to do more than you would enjoy (I can't assume that you hate CW altogether...) How is that not hypocrisy?
  14. kid son Let's see... if I'm going for 5000 cw games, I can loaf for 5000 games or try really hard for 5000 games. It takes the same amount of time. If someone is loafing in my DG clan or pc team, it can significantly slow me down, hurting my end goal. I don't care about any of the randoms in runescape, as most of them are idiotic sheep, and I'll never interact with them, so why would I waste my time and effort helping them win their petty cw games? Are you being serious? I can't tell. If you are, you just showed yourself to be a huge hypocrit... And a pompous ass, but that may be irrelevant. I sure hope you aren't. I just saw you at the GE... :( What if the "random"'s goal was to win CW tickets? Having a max combat player sitting there doing nothing hurts them, when, as you said, you could be helping in the same amount of time. To put it into perspective with a metaphor, it's like someone using resources they had gathered themselves and calling it free, when they could have sold said resources instead, meaning they paid whatever the resources were worth in GP. You're hurting them by doing nothing because the amount you could be doing might be significant. And, for the record, if the people on your team watching you sit there could kick you, they would, I'm quite sure. And, as I've said 2 or 3 times already, you can actively go for games, and by doing so, it will be far, far quicker! I'll be surprised if there isn't already a team monitoring the ends of CW games right now for this very purpose. I wish I could find the quote of that person saying they were counting 5-10 games an hour...
  15. The search option worked well for once :) Of course, that wasn't the main point, but it's a great thing to be initiated to go find, lol.
  16. In the future I will use Magic Logs, although before I posted this I was only nearing the level to be able to burn them. The goal in mind for this thread was to attempt to determine if I would have to play more BA before reaching 79. Less short-sighted, however, was the question of just how much a full-run (which, unfortunately or not, JohnTheCop, is what you do when you play with teams including some random W6ers) would translate to time spent FMing. I have personal limitations. I don't know if they matter now or not, but they would include 500k GP/hr 2 full queen runs before I get tired of BA... I just got yak so hopefully I can improve that GP/hr figure a bit. Lemme see if I can find XPX's Frost Dragon guide...! Although, from what it seems, the golden age of Frost Dragons is affected a bit by current bot trends...
  17. Is there a known or highly suspected way of figuring out how long each set of 10 waves will last as far as XP goes? Also, are Magic Logs better value than Yew Logs? (Using the horn of course.) See, I honestly have no way of knowing, because how much charge they take off the horn factors into value... If you make some kind of assumptions about value vs income please detail them here, as my gp/hr is probably way lower than other 138s...
  18. Very productive day... :) 138 pride!!?
  19. Falador Elite Diary done! :) And I've been having fun with all the rewards, lol. 140k Summoning XP a Mole Nose ... And this super dramatic conversion of this pitiful Saradominist altar! Wish I could make a gif to capture the awesomeness of the conversion! Almost forgot this: The voices in my head told me to kill the White Knights before this act of glorious vandalism.
  20. Skipped over or ignored? I believe someone said you could get 5+ games per hour towards the req just doing this. And I think this is what those who are actually trying to get Comp(T) are doing.
  21. I thought the people going for Comp(T) were joining games with 5 min left...
  22. "If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem!" I usually laugh at that sentiment but there sometimes are situations to which it applies. If such behavior persists, then an activity bar may be made, dampening the overall freedom one has in Castle Wars in particular. A major mechanic is being able to guard locations, which would be severely affected by an activity bar. Honestly, though, in Castle Wars in particular, there are usually very few players that make any difference to the outcome of the game. An AFK 120+ is about as useless as one of those level 70- maging or ranging off the castle wall. You may have 7-10 flagrunners/stunners/barragers on each team who do all the work because they honestly enjoy the game. Others who are active are likely just PKing or guarding certain areas. It is akin to botting really, in the sense that you, the person behind the computer, aren't doing anything for a gain. The difference, and what makes it "worse" is that the account is doing absolutely nothing, whereas an account being controlled by a bot would still do contribute in at least some way, although I'm not entirely sure what a bot for the activity in question would do anyway. _______ An aside... [spoiler=If this becomes a debate about ethics...] Unfortunately, any fair argument to liken moralities, or rather, human nature that applies to people - even people playing RuneScape - will be exaggerated upon past the point of hilarity and be unfairly reduced to a smouldering pile of [cabbage] by a certain team on these forums. I'd like to coin the phrase trollganging - IE, Group has members A, B, C, D, usually posting in that order. A posts in a way just barely within the rules, doing his best to show an aggressive interpretation so that the OP may be "dismissable" as containing one or more fallacies, and therefore, "attackable" without reprimand. B posts directly agreeing with A, making all manner of flames and further exaggerating with the hope that, since the OP has been "villified", no moderator intervention will occur. A persists, twisting whatever posts that possibly agree with him, continuing to counter any further repsonses from OP with ever-degrading, and usually, pseudo-debate, resorting to pettier and pettier arguments. C posts basically the same thing that A originally posted, but in different words and much later to immitate some sort of "unguided" support. A, B, and possibly C will persist, even if OP is gone, attacking whatever is interpretted as opposition to them. D may post as a response to C, fully-flaming OP, as a sort of evolved form of B. Thread has been reduced into flamefest and any valid points covered under layer after layer of true trolling. Further exaggeration may flow into other similar topics and be made into inside jokes by trollganging team. Just a warning kind of thing, seen it happen before, lol. It's not happening yet and hopefully won't.
  23. Fixed :P Re-fixed... :( Although my clan doesn't PK and neither do my friends' clans AFAIK, they still care about K/D in highscores, and deaths are recorded on your account rather than clan, so just leaving the clan shortly won't avoid K/D changes... Draynor looks pretty much the same? lol... It's been updated relatively recently, so they really only had the buildings to do. It's definitely "In other news..." worthy at most... @somwhere above, JaGEx said new trees would come as they updated relevent areas. According to that statement, the trees in and around Draynor should be updated. :???:
  24. I think you get it. Really, I've often said the same thing - Upgrading F2P areas almost exclusively is pretty much just lying to potential members. Because, of course, the awesome increase in areas from F2P->P2P is a lot less impressive when they find out those areas look like [cabbage]/use game mechanics that are outdated by years. But what does JaG care if they've already signed, right? Usually not this negative lol... On the "Death Hats": Maybe if one of the evolutions resembles the Ranger Helmet from FNV or Helghasts I'll become a pro PKer. It could happen...
