Fun is subjective but its not that subjective, sure you might get the odd wierdo (who will respond to this post) who actually enjoys firemaking, whereas most people enjoy castle wars for example, and if not castle wars there is sure to be a minigame that you enjoy (that is the point in them after all). Also being inefficient really isn't fun, refusing to quest and then getting 99 str on terrible gear because you find it "fun" is just stupid. You have wasted many many hours that the better gear would have saved you, compared to the few hours that would be needed to get a salve ammy or barrow gloves for example. In my opinion efficiency is fun until you take it to extremes, for example people making bolts while firemaking or mousekey inv dropping. In the same way inefficiency taken to extremes is not fun, using a d med and some gold gloves from Canafis while killing rock crabs at level 120 all because you find it fun is plain stupidity and to put it bluntly, you suck.

Setting skills like 80 magic for a quest is like setting a combat requirement of 120 for jad, it limits different types of accounts from completing the quest, what need is there for 80 magic if the quest is completable without it(which all quests are >.>), you are limiting accounts that do not want to train magic because it would raise their combat level. My real problem with quest requirements is levels that require levels that are impossible for certain accounts to reach, if i want to do wgs with 1 attack/strength/magic/range why should I not be able to? I am limiting myself but by persistence I can complete the quest anyway (by finding ways around it such as using summoning). Sure set a 97 fishing requirement but please leave out the 75 magic to enchant a uber special door which adds nothing to the quest.

its 60 casts per staff :P and its a pain to recharge but worth it.

Darn, you beat my record..I beat that quest on a level 30 once, was so much fun, the quest actually was a challenge, especially the spider part (at least for me) :P yeah that spider is insanely hard too me over 2 hours just for that.

this was painful but is going to be worth it, 50 att 50 mage at level 28 combat hitting 290s (250+ mage pot bonus).
