  1. While I sympathise with people that lost their stuff due to the glitch, I would posit that the person doing the complaining should do all the the validation and investigating involved getting everything back to the accounts affected, at which point they would understand the sheer quantity of work getting back some items back to the few people (compared to the whole 'population' of runescape).
  2. Summoning shards are easy to calculate and give back. Giving ALL items back to a person that lost them is much more difficult as a person from jagex would need to verify it, then place it back onto the account. Now do this a few million times and voila!
  3. Doesn't bother me. I joined after Unfair trading was removed, therefore I have never had a passion to pk, and I am completely used to fair trading.
  4. I could play 72 hours a week (based on free time, 8 hours sleep and college), but I play around 26 hours a week (more if I afk train atk, str etc).
  5. 13 levels 1481/1494 OT: You fail Maur.
  6. i dont want to bring WoW into this, but this sort of thing has happened in WoW (except crashing whole servers), yet apparently it did not warrant a rollback :S
  7. IP bans dont work... Unless you specificaly ask for a static IP address from your ISP (which usually costs extra) your normally on a dynamic IP address, which changes regually. eg, most people can just disconect there modems for a few minutes and reconect and be given a new one. They use routers. They switch their routers off for a few minutes and get a new dynamic ip address. ALL routers have at least a Static IP Address, most also have a Dynamic IP address, which allows for the switching.
  8. Jagex can ip ban. They will only do it if you are a repeat offender for major rules on multiple accounts (macroing, RWT etc)
  9. I used to play this game like 3 years ago, I just remade a new account So I can't get rid of the limit? How the hell am I supposed to even BUY rune items then?.... Buy them from players or use the grand exchange?
  10. it was on the rsof, not in the actual post, so I don't blame you for not knowing.
  11. my guess for the fire runes is for tokkul, though I doubt someone with 200mil would sell fire runes to the tzhaar rune shop for money. OT: Nice BoB, 8/10
  12. It means you use slightly less energy when running and also makes your energy refill faster.

Try 26 demon tasks in a row (Black Demons and Greater demons), then you'll hate duradel.
  14. Getting Attack and Strength to 85, Fishing, Wc, Rc, Hunter and thieving to 80, then going to finish off 99 mining.
  15. Please don't ever say that again. RuneScape is a game of how much free-time you have, not skill. What ticks me off though is people who will say negative things about a skill. You can say that it's not your thing, it's a bit boring for you, et cetera. Just please don't walk up to someone in a Cooking cape and tell them how cheap/fast/stupid Cooking is. I prefer to reduce, rather than increase, WorldSuck. I don't go up to people with cooking capes/fletching capes/etc and say that, I just say nice cape and walk away, or I don't say anything at all.
  16. That's a very good point. However, some skills stop being useful at a certain level. For instance (I'm not bashing herblore, I know it's a very money intensive skill, I'm just using it as an example) Herblore stops being useful at around 81 (83 if you want the 20% attack from a zammy brew). So between 81-98, there is not much difference. You don't make potions any faster when you are level 99 than when you are level 1 (though I think it's actually level 4 from the quest). So the difference between 81 and 99 isn't great. But you can imagine someone with 99 herblore looking down at someone with 81 herblore. But you also have to account for the fact that the person with 81 could have the money for 99, but wish to use it for other skills. And thus, the only reason for someone with 99 herblore looking down at someone with 81 is because they wanted to spend more money for a cape.
  17. I believe that you could hold a debate without having had a degree in it, just you would have limited understanding of the finer points. On your second point, you would listen to the person with more experience. For example, If I saw a level 137 with an untrimmed cooking cape and a level 95 with an untrimmed cooking cape, it is natural to assume that the higher level is more experienced, so can give better advice, and knows what he is talking about, more than the level 95 (though it may not actually be true).
  18. Runite mining is a faster way of making money than the Cockroaches. The reason that members get what they have is because we pay for the game. F2P in total generates 7% of Jagex's revenue (going down due to the removal of video adverts). I was going to agree with you, up until you said give f2P the tzhaar caves, and even the abyssal whip. The abyssal whip is one of the main draws to P2P. So why would Jagex give F2P a weapon that could make them more money? F2P is limited like it is because pretty much every members area has usage of members only skills. e.g. Taverly. If Jagex gave taverly to F2P, what would happen? Nothing. Taverly is mainly used for summoning and Herblore. So what is the point of letting F2P have it. The desert (as you mentioned) is mainly used for granite mining, pyramid plunder and Slayer. So, the addition to pretty much any of the members places to F2P would be pointless. Moreover, if they did give F2P some of the members areas, they would have to give them skills to train, which defeats the point of getting members to actually train the skill. Simple solution? If you don't like what you have, pay for membership.
  19. I don't usually bash people for having the so-called 'easier skills', but when they say something about my skills, I am partial to retaliation. However, this thread is not about the bashing part, it's about the fact that this is the main statement that people use. As if it's going to stop people from bashing the skill anymore? Also, when rating on the rate this board, I usually don't add my opinion, as to avoid these conflicts. If they are happy with their 99, that's good to hear. I just don't like it when you 'aren't allowed' to comment on it just because you don't have a 99 in it (this argument usually revolving around patience, determination, money etc).
  20. I am referring to the people that use the age old argument of 'You can't say anything about [insert Skill Here] because you don't have 99 in it'. This only happens when you say something negative about a skill, and only when you say something bad about a skill that is generally looked down upon (e.g. Cooking, Fletching, Firemaking etc). Then the aforementioned statement is brought in. I find it totally irrelevant to the matter. I have 99 range, mage, crafting, defence and agility (not bragging). Whenever I comment on a skill like cooking in a negative way, I get the 'statement' thrown at me. Now, Since I have these 99s which are harder, take more time and patience (and some take more money), I believe that we can assume that if I actually wanted to spend time training these skills, I could get them to 99. From my point of view, these skills are just a way to burn money. If I want to burn money, I'll go and buy some dragon imps and loot them, or crystal keys or better yet, I'll go and solo the Corporeal Beast. Then when you show your 99s, the next inevitable statement is referring and almost completely the same as the original; 'Yeah, but you havent got 99 in it so you can't comment on it'. But why can't I comment on it? I have 99s which take more time, patience and money. I could easily get them if I actually wanted to (which I don't, since they are useless to me), but still people refuse to stop using the same damn line. To put this into context: I spent 32mil on 99 Crafting from 70. I made ruby bracelets, Air battlestaffs and Blue D'hide bodies. Cooking is around 6mil (doing lobsters, which is still relatively fast, and much faster than making ruby bracelets), fletching can make money (but the faster ways will set you back around 5-6mil from 85) and firemaking is 4.5mil with maples. Now. 6,000,000 + 6,000,000 + 4,500,000 (these arent actual figures, but are estimated costs from my current levels in the respective skills). Suffice to say, 16.5mil is less than 32mil. I spent more money on one skill, which is better for me. And yet, I am still not allowed to comment on a skill which I don't have a 99 in? All I can say is, try getting 99 agility. Then you can say I don't have the patience for 99 fletching/Cooking/Firemaking etc. EDIT: Just to clear this up, I am talking about in-game as well as on the forums (not just tip it, but other forums).
  21. I wasn't flaming. Therefore, control your mouth before you get Verbal Diarrhea. Also, on other topics, many people agree with the rates I give. Which either suggests that they are all flaming, or that that is what the actual topic is worth. Therefore, your opinion holds no water.
  22. Ouch. You got two of the worst firelighters :S That's like Jagex spitting in your face. And tbh, if you need to colour a normal log fire red, you are doing something wrong.
