Edgar Varèse And who the hell cares? We're supposed to recommend something we think the other person might like. If they're a fan of heavy metal, then recommend them heavy metal. I mean, I'm open to new things, but, we're trying to make safe recommendations and enlighten people. What's the point of FORCING the change if people are obviously liking what they're getting recommended? btw intriguing, i like dark metal very much, so i might as well try that other album; although i heard the vocals are like silencer, and that's a nono for me.

I'd actually love a well-written and well-made metal parody. Metalocalypse...well...isn't either.

I used to love all the early stuff and all power metal more than anything else. Then I listened to doom metal, and that's kinda my 'speciality'. I seem to like the feeling of sadness and hopelessness it conveys. As for me, im listening to the album Egoleech by C*ck and Ball Torture, its not as fast as I had hoped for, but its still damn good!!! to be honest, when it comes to metal; i'm more of a early heavy metal/early power metal and black metal sort of guy, but i like lots of death metal too. Why not? It's to show who they are. You don't really see others doing that except Hollywood Undead and The Sound Of Animals Fighting (though that's not really a band, more like a group), and they all came AFTER Slipknot. You forgot about Kiss. One of the most influential bands to ever play. That was makeup. And if you're going to mention them, you may as well mention pretty much every Black metal band ever as well. Crimson Glory's masks predates these suckas. What about GWARs masks? They beat every band that had ever worn a mask or make-up!!! Crimson Glory beats gwar by like 3 years.
