  3. hmmm...i don't agree. 3
  4. mlb, i recommend you rotting christ (i prefer their debut and sophomore albums) kraftwerk are amazing.
  5. Sacramentum (mainly the album Far Away From The Sun)
  6. It's Cynic in general. Overproduced and seemingly fake. I'd much rather have Atheist release a new album. Btw, I think Voyager (Manilla Road) is this year's best metal album. I have heard some people turned off by Masvidal's electronic manipulation of the vocals, but I quite like it and their sound in general. As for Atheist, apparently they're releasing a new album next year. Hope it's a good one. Indeed, the vocals are a gripe for me. Although, the Cynic demos pre-1993 are quite good. Another band like Cynic that I like would be my home country's (portugal) . They're not jazz fusion, but rather progressive death metal. PM me if you want a link to d/l the album. Also, yeah, I'm excited for the new Atheist album. Although I was a bit disappointed with Elements. Let's hope they go the Unquestionable Presence route.

  8. Cynic - Traced In Air what. that album is terrible.
  9. I can't exactly pinpoint why, but...I was somewhat bored. It was amusing, yes, especially the entire rewinding and all, but...that one scene where the girl is staring at the TV for what seems like an eternity and the scenes following it are so slowww. I mean, yeah, I can enjoy Stalker, it's a lovely film for its sluggish pace, but, I think that this one did that all wrong. Terrible in this case was a strong word...it has its merits but I think its flaws are much more evident.
  10. Twin Peaks and Decalogue.
  11. Recently saw M, Notorious, The Maltese Falcon, Funny Games (1997), Labyrinth (lol) and Metropolis. I enjoyed all of them except Funny Games...it was pretty terrible.
  12. i dunno prog rock/metal is pretty "easy" and popular. moreso than a lot of chart toppers.
  13. LOL WHAT depressive/suicidal black metal an even bigger joke than those treehugging, troll [bleep]ing [bleep]s. Popol Vuh - Aguirre
  14. the Shepard of the sheep. :) its like that karl marx quote with mainstream subculture instead of religion....its needed for people to escape from their oh so terrible lives and bring their minds into a happiness high!
  15. Helstar ps: thx how2pk, farscape was worth the listen. :)
  16. That was a pretty poor attempt. You have to be bit more critical to get the response you're looking for. i wasn't looking for a response, but, i'm sure someone as presumptuous and "wise" as you must've thought otherwise. it sucks, and i just wished to state my opinion. take it for what it's worth to you (probably nothing, in fact, yes, nothing!!!) as I take your opinion/thoughts....which hold nothing of value to me. btw, you can't get really get "critical" with saw, unless you're like 14 and think there's actual substance. I would hardly call what you posted an opinion, 9 year olds have more descriptive thoughts. But it doesn't matter, I'm sure you don't care enough about my opinion to even read this, much less reply. ill reply (if this can be called a reply, but im a sure someone of a significantly lower age than me can write a better reply), but itll be colourful because i cant resist, and AWWEEESSOMMEEEEEEEEEEEE; and having NOTHING to do with your post! colourfuuuuul eqweqweiloveqwejqweqweuhqwetrollasdasdasuidhdng i find it funny that a reaction to such a "low" opinion to this pseudo-intellectual garbage could be this fun! oh misery.... nevermind me, im delirious and grumpy! NEVERMIND ME I SAY! GAH.

  21. yeah so i took some days off from music rotting christ - non serviam greek black metal is awesome
  22. while some more Tarkovsky movies come in thru the mail, i decided to check out a recommendation from a friend a couple of weeks ago, i shall now detail my reaction! Aguirre, The Wrath of God - i can't understand a lick of german (subtitles yay), but wow...this film blew me away. klaus kinski is just plain frightening in this movie. this could easily become of my favourite films...its gorgeous yet visceral at the same time ! next to watch: Zerkalo and Fitzcarraldo
  23. Sacramentum - their first album. and what the is post metal ( thought neurosis was sludge)??? is that some fluff stuff like post rock?
