I think it was a bit before that even? Goths were from nowadays Hungarian (and other nearby areas) until the Hunnic invasion and the Great Migration. Huns lived in that area until Avars attacked. After them came the Magyars, who the modern Hungarians are believed to be descended. But all that area was a mess during the Great Migration, nobody knows for sure. Also, that video of Russian formation is ridiculously simplified. As they are our Eastern neighbours and we have been occupied by them for a long time, we are given special attention and much, MUCH more attention to Russian history than, for example, the history of the United States. Formation and first decades of the history of the USA are mentioned in pretty much like 5 pages and the history of Russia takes half the history book. There is the thing that the town where I live in, was actually founded by the "king" (or well, I don't even know exactly, what they were called, either czars or chiefs or what) of Kievan Rus at the time. However, the Rurik mentioned in the video, quite probably was a viking from Estonian areas, so it evens out.

I don't get that kind of response though. Black people in America always seem to be so proud of being black, their heritage, etc. But the moment you ask them something actually significant, or meaningful, they find it offensive. I understand what you're saying, because even i wouldn't ask a black person from America what tribe they're from. I just don't understand why it's an offensive thing to ask. Do white people get offended if they're asked what their roots are? I get that a nationality isn't a tribe, but it kind of is. So if someone asks me if i'm half English/Scottish/German/whatever, do i get offended? Should i? Just doesn't make sense to me. "I'm proud to be black/indian, but don't ask me anything about it ever." nationality isn't a tribe but ethnic group is. Europe has several ethnic groups Slavic - most of eastern europe German - germany, france, england, italy Celtic - welsh, irish, scottish Greek Latin basque etc. middle east has several arab jewish persian armenian turkish kurdish etc. You forgot that most Scandinavians are also Germanic. And one large European group at least was left out, us Finno-Ugrians. Call me Slavic and I'll punch you.

What a nightmare working through this shift was... Got a terrible hangover halfway through the day. At least it is over. And now I found out I have to be at work at 7 AM tomorrow. Great!
  4. Wow, I could not remember jack shit about last night. But I am too lazy to elaborate now aswell. And whipping your dick out is always the best option.

And I have to be at work in 5 hours. I am [bleep]ed.
  6. Votes are not dependent of the previoust standings. Or at least, they should not be. I will not get a new quaterfinal until 25 votes.

I actually just wanted to ask about it. [bleep]ing RPG, beat me to it. Being on this thread I understand that even though I think myself to be open to everything, it is still difficult. I have to admit, I am a bit racist. I do come from a background of 99.99999999% white people, but still. It hurts me, but I have prejudice and I can't do anything about it until I meet more coloured people. So, 13-20 June, anybody up in Toronto?
  8. Wow, I really do agree completely with Muggi in something in this thread. All of our disagreement came from determining what is the move. I am drunk af, and wil elaborate further when I have gotten sober (it is pretty much the 4th of July, or the indepence day here, I am absolutely [bleep]ed, 2 litres of pure high quality vodka and a few beers make you do that...)
  9. Do you want us to simply resize those 2 pics and add your name to them? You can even do it in MS Paint. If you want a custom signature, better find a render, ain't nobody got time for rendering those two. The Art Bazaar has been dead for years now, ain't nobody got time for that. And it is against the forum rules to sell stuff here for rs gp.
  10. I also said it depends on what you consider making a move. Trying to caress her hand or sth like that it quite fine and good. I consider making a move the first kiss. There are some scientific studies about it, which I am too lazy to find out, that say that the girl immediately knows if she wants to be with a guy by the first kiss. Something about immune system compatibility or so and that it will be [bleep]ed up by baby pills. That's why I think that could be the making a move. Simply caressing a hand or a simple touch here and there are so self-explanatory that I don't even really consider them as flirting anymore. Which is ironic, as a few years back I was totally afraid of that thing... Funny how people grow and change...

My boyfriend's dad says coloured and it makes his entire family so antsy. It's actually so funny, we'll be watching TV and he's like "the black guy was the lawyer" or something and then he'll think that he can't say black and then say "the coloured guy was the lawyer" and my boyfriend's family all facedesk. It just makes me laugh. The first day he met me he asked which tribe I was from lol. He doesn't mean any harm but it's pretty amusing, especially as my family never had any gaffes when they met him for the first time lol. But yeah racial tension shit. I had no idea it was this bad out here. Makes me appreciate home so much. Most people get along really well. It's just like people are generally embarrassed to be racist at home and keep it within confined groups, but over here it's so overt. I've tried so hard not to resent people, only 2 months left of this. One thing I'm happy about is that I'm in the marching band now and it takes my mind off stuff. I like being unquestionably good at something. I can doubt my ability at just about everything, but I know that I can play more than one instrument to advanced level and it feels good to share that in common with the cool people at band practice. The songs we play are pretty awesome too. We're performing in Montreal pretty soon and it'll be a hoot, I think. I guess I kind of see why people in the band only hang out with each other. It's probably my safest bet to not just get depressed with the atmosphere to be honest. I meant in coloured, as in black, hispanic, asian, everything. Here I think over 99% still are white. But yeah, one reason we don't really tolerate others is the former Soviet occupation and the remaining 300k Russians in the country (ok, among them are quite a lot of Belarusians and Ukrainians and Tatars and so on). Them Russians have gothered into their own suburbs or territories and visiting northeastern parts of the country sometimes it feels like being in a foreign country with people speaking only Russian everywhere. There have been national tensions over time, the biggest one our first and only real riot in April 2007. I think most of the people think we shouldn't take any refugees until we assimilate them Russians who don't have any nationality (over 200k of them here, former Soviet citizens with no citizenship anywhere. In Estonia you won't get citizenship simply by being born on our territory). And thus we are xenophobic against other peoples.
  12. Everything is salvageable, depending on how much you want to think about it and what is it that you want. I know people who have met on a party, casually added on FB, then not talked for a few months, then one has pretty much randomly asked how ya doing over FB or something and within a short time they hooked up. Just go for it after you return, if nothing comes out of it, then big deal, wouldn't have happened anyway, but if you do decide to do something, magic might happen. You always regret the things you didn't do, not the things you did.
  13. One time I now agree with muggi, dinner is a bad idea if you don't know each other well yet. It is awkward communicating over a proper meal and you can go wrong in so many ways. Drinks don't always have to be alcoholic. One of my favourites is peppermint cocoa and a slice of cake at the best cafe in the country, which is conveniently located downtown the city I live in. Though alcohol almost always loosens up a bit. I have managed to make a girl mad by suggesting alcohol though. She wasn't for me :D
  14. http://forum.tip.it/topic/192134-i-want-a-girlfriendboyfriend-and-other-such-relationship-advice/page-948?do=findComment&comment=5584600 I think it'd be better for you to argue what the benefits are for not making a move on the first date. Because I can guarantee most of the people reading this thread are crossing their fingers, hoping that you're right. Because if you're right and I'm wrong, then they have a free pass to act like a [kitty] and wait for the girl to basically give them a written invitation to make a move :P Not making a move on the first date should suggest that you are not only after sex, but enjoy being with her aswell, and that alone should already be a key to having a healthy relationship. From that post it is mentioned that guys do have 2 needs and there it is explained, that the need 2 for feminine energy and soft values comes easily with just filling need 1, but I find it hard to agree with that. There needs to be some sort of connection, at least for some guys, like me, to have pleasure while also filling need 1. What I want to say is that just because I could bang somebody for a one-night-stand (oh how close I have been multiple times this last half a year, but I don't want it for I want my girl), doesn't mean I could also fill my need for feminine energies just for spending one night with someone. Everyone is different. Most men might think the need 2 is the one they are after, and it might not always be they suppress need 1 for that. Some people don't even like sex as much more as just being there, snuggling n shit, to consider a night of cuddling a failure. The same theory about girls wanting to fulfill 2 needs, the sexual and I don't know how to call it, romantic(?) need applies to them too. If you always do make the move on the first date, and she goes with it, it means she values the sexual needs more and might not be as interested in filling the romantic needs of men, or themselves. The key here is to finding a balance. If you think you want more the romantic stuff and want a girl who wants to snuggle and hold hands and do other stuff besides pure sex, I'd think not making a direct move on first date would be better. It also depends on what you would consider making a move, some consider a kiss, others consider hooking up and yet others consider a simple hug. Not everybody is the same, sometimes different approaches work better.
  15. Why do you have to make a move on the first date? Why can't it be on the second or third? Why has it always have to be purely about sex on the first or second date? Twice I've made a move on first date, and it went shit within a few months or even weeks actually. Twice I have not made a move on the first date and now one is still lasting after 4 months and the other ended with the girl moving out of town. (and becoming an international model, having been touring Asian countries as a model for the last few years)

Out here, we just don't have enough coloured people to even have societies or something. 15 years ago pretty much everyone could name all black people in the country, as there were only a handful of them. But now thanks to this refugee crisis and shit some people (mainly from smaller places) have started forming self defence groups or sth like that in response to the events at New Years' Eve in Cologne and some other events in our neighbouring countries. International students have been thrown with rocks and have been beaten once or twice within the last 6 months. Haven't heard anything like this happening until like last year.
  17. Why the bloody heck did you have an awful webcam pic on your profile anyway?

Going back to work for the first time today... Been weird, this month having been completely out from everything. Gonna hang on to the one crutch for now still, can't get rid of it completely. Need it for stairs and for longer distances.
  19. God damn it's a good video and one that was banned on MTV for being too far... Can't help it, Spotify...
  20. It's a bit of a shame how OT and the rest of the forums have separated from each other. And I've been here for almost ten years and I can't say I've ever had bad experience with mods. Rather the opposite, many of my good friends from RS ended up getting promoted here aswell. And I ain't ever had a problem with misconduct either.
  21. Spotify is treating me well. And I was a bit drunk while posting the previous, the original video has over 320k views still, so it ain't that unknown.
  22. MOAR PICS! MK RHW Them both are lingerie models, after all...
  23. Holy [bleep]ing shit, I can't understand how it only has 401 views on YT with A YEAR! Four hundred and one! Views on Tube! How'd Spotify Discovery get it to me? So goood....

I can't write for shit with only my left hand. I always use both hands...
  25. Estonian dude replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
Spamming through different chats is the main differential... Well, I also learnt a LOT of my English from series, movies and RS. Estonian and English have pretty much nothing in common. But the point is, how can you make things that young kids need to learn, like typing and grammar and maths fun? How to make it such that they would like to also deal with it recreationally at home?
