Played some Spec Ops: The Line. Only managed like 2 hours before I decided to call it quits this time not to melt my GPU. Shitty cooling, that laptop has. But holy [bleep], it already starts off weird. And AWESOME! This is a shooter for the story.

Crime rates are not dependent on whether the open carry is permitted or not. Crime comes from inequality and poverty. Or, in some cases, cultural background. If people have it good, why would they ever need to turn to crime?

RPG, that is simply the cold shower thing Muggi popularized a while back. Simply a grade more hardcore. If I could, I'd do that any day, but the sauna is open only twice a week and it's a bit too cold without sauna.

It's way too easy to get a drivers' license back in the states aswell. We have 40 hours of mandatory theoretical classes before you can even start test driving with an instructor. And there is the bare minimum of 20 hours of driving lessons here before you can even apply for exams to get the drivers' license here. And yeah, I agree with making small inconveniences to people wanting to get [bleep]ing guns. If you really do want to defend yourself you are better off getting a basic self-defence melee course.

We're having like fourth consecutive day of -25C or more. Kinda awesome. The town is empty, finally no school for kids, cars don't want to start... Perfect time for ice skating, ice swimming, snow activities... I actually went swimming in the local river last night. Quite awesome, going from 120+C sauna to -23C outside. And then to the river, and coming out... Hair started freezing within a minute. Had frost on eyebrows and eyelashes and hair was completely frozen. But it felt so [bleep]ing great.

Considering we have only like 10 people ITT the percentage can't be small :D And I don't count reddit as a correct source if my question was do YOU know anyone who has had to use a gun in self-defence. The USA is pretty much the size of the whole Europe. The margins are so big that there is bound to happen something. What I meant is, most of us live in neighbourhoods where owning a gun is absolutely not necessary. Does not need to be used. And the less guns are around, the better for all of us. I know that there are like maybe 10 psychos with guns roaming around in my country. But here's a million people who are not psychos with guns. But here is like, maybe 10 thousand psychos. But I am not afraid of those psychos. Because those psychos can't get guns from the local [bleep]ing Wal-Mart. Thanks to mandatory psychological evaluation in the country. And, because we don't have Wal-Marts here :D

It ain't that hard to pick a cologne now, is it? Also, I can't recognize myself from a few years ago. I keep having trouble of having too much people around.

Seriously, how many times have you seen anyone use gun in self-defense? Do you know anyone who has used a gun in self-defence? Carrying a gun for self-defence only makes sense in upper-Northern Canada and Svalbard and Greenland, where they do have polar bears roaming aroung who actually can attack and kill you. I think I can count on the fingers of one hand for how many times the cops in the whole country have had to use a gun for the whole last year for anything other than a warning/attention shot in the air.

What is fun is that right now there is a gun law discussion publicly in Estonia aswell. Per the EU directives, the government wants to forbid all semi-automatic guns and rifles aswell. And to forbid members of the local National Guard and law enforcement agencies to take these weapons home. And make harsher the laws regulating the safekeeping of guns. Automatics/burst fire weapons are already forbidden in civilian use. Now completely banning them is a bit too harsh, because I actually quite like the current gun laws here. Getting a gun permit ain't that hard, you need to have a clean record, medical and psychological certificates and pay a certain fee. Also you have to perform a weapons exam on the sort of weapon you have/want/get (different exams for pistols, revolvers, hunting rifles, questions are like for example, how to perform first aid on people with gun wounds and how to safely store and use the weapons). After that you are free to own a gun. If you own a single gun, you don't even need a gun locker, provided you have a correct holster/whatever for the gun. But more than one and you are legally required to have a lockable gun locker.

Seriously, why the [bleep] do you need to carry a gun around everywhere you go? If someone shoots you first, you can't do jack shit, cause you dead/disabled. And why the [bleep] would you shoot first? And you can have and wear long rifles without license? That is the most [bleep]ed up insane thing I have heard. I don't have a gun. I have shot them at ranges though. I understand if people want to keep something at home, just in case someone really comes to rob (but seriously, why would they if you are in any way reasonable and don't show yourself as an easy target. much easier to jack a car). But in that case, people should get a license. So that not every lunatic can get a gun from a random Wal-Mart as it is right now. Psychological checks, background checks, everything should be performed. That is to keep guns off the hands of the mentally unstable guys (who, as far as I have understood, are most ones behind mass shootings in the US). Those who might just one day click and think hey, I'm gonna shoot my wife and kids and other kids in the school because life sucks. And about that terrorist attack prevention, you can't do jack shit if someone does perform a pre-planned attack.

I spent the new years in Riga. Pretty epic fireworks display and stuff, but kinda expected, as it is the largest city in the Baltics.

What'd you get? So far I've gottten slippers, socks, a jacket, 2 bowties <3333, 2 wine glasses, a book, and boatloads of chocolate and candy. Oh and, happy celebrations.

I also like the own personal smell theory, or as my mum said, nothing smells as good as cleanliness. I haven't gotten any bad comments about sweat or anything, but I have been complimented on my cologne.

Going home to me parents, after a while... Gonna be awkward.

Got the newest Square Enix Humble Bundle and seriously considering Skyrim Legendary edition. But then again, Skyrim is old by now and I have played it already... And I bought the Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY edition from GreenManGaming. Cost me just €8, which is pretty amazing for so new game.

I don't even mind the smell of sweat that much as I mind some overspritzed Old Spice or Axe. That thing is just terrible. I only use cologne when I go out or sth and I don't use deodorant at all.
