  1. I'm pro government welfare, and pro-charity, etc. I think we should help poor people as much as possible. But I'm sorry, if you can afford cable, you don't need welfare. As for internet, it is a useful tool that is almost becoming a necessity, so I don't mind that.
  2. FJ is way better imo. If you use the crits properly it can be extremely effective.
  3. No. Give me a server address so I can check it out. The server I play on only has it for 15 mins once every 4 hours lol, and the rotation changes all the time. Just see if you can find one on the server list...
  4. Crosby back tomorrow night, apparently. Let's hope it's for the rest of the season this time...
  5. Really? Are they the ones posting their problems and stupid stuff about other people on a public social network? Just wanna slap people sometimes, I swear. I used to feel like that, then I deleted my facebook. Now I feel better.
  6. I was sure this was our year, too. Still, I think we are trending up, and with the right fixes this summer we should be a playoff team next year. Although I guess that's what I said this summer too :(
  7. Anyone who knows anything about Runescape knows which company created the game. And at any rate, it's not that hard to google "Which company made Runescape?".
  8. I don't know enough about the UK system to say how it could be improved specifically, but here for example, there are a variety of checks used to ensure people are actually needing welfare, such as minimum requirements for job applications if they are able to work.
  9. No, it's not suggesting we shouldn't do anything. It's suggesting it will never be completely eradicated, and that the actions of a few shouldn't ruin the benefits for many. Stop putting words in my mouth. But yes, we do agree that trying to minimize abuse is a positive thing.
  10. Where exactly did I say we shouldn't try to minimize the abuse?
  11. Exactly. To completely get rid of 'the bad things' you must spend too much money/time/happiness. Want to 100% ban drugs? You'll have to check every single person and every single storage space on the planet. Same deal with every other crime. It's a bad idea to expect a system to be entirely efficient/effective. That being said, I'm in favour of a benefit system for everyone. Even if people choose to leech, it's still civilized to take care of other people. Basic things like food, water, shelter, internet (at least over here you have to do your taxes via internet, so it's not optional anymore) should be available to everyone. You can solve that by handing these things out for free, or by handing out the equivalent money; I prefer the money because it allows people some freedom. I don't know about internet (public libraries have that for free), but the rest of the stuff, I agree. That's not to say you shouldn't have checks to losely make sure people aren't abusing it, but some bad eggs shouldn't ruin it for everyone.
