  1. I've got an extra key, I'll trade it to you depending on what you have for sale :P
  2. Kony is the leader of the LRA. Focusing on him and the LRA are one and the same.
  3. It helps to have some experience in bringing up kids before lecturing that someone is bad for keeping their kid in line. :shame: The same thing holds true then for those who are saying it's right. Do you mean to say that NONE of us are in any position to pass judgement? B-b-b-but what will we discuss now?! :ohnoes: I think a lot of us aren't saying he's right, rather than he has the freedom to discipline his children as he sees fit :P
  4. Great post. But because this guy doesn't have a tear-jerking video, no one will pay attention.
  5. It's ironic how fast public perception of american foreign policy changes. Within months public opinion shifts from "stop the aggressive foreign action in Afghanistan and iraq" to "send troops to africa to prevent injustice". There's a reason governments are so hesitant about this kind of action; because the general populace is so fickle they (the government) can quickly see themselves out of power. Not that it shouldn't be done. What's occurring is obviously unjust and the world would be a better place if JK were stopped. But imagine that they send more troops, and start to incur some casualties, and can't catch him. I imagine the complaining in the public sphere would begin pretty quickly once american soliders started coming home in body bags and the cost reached 9 digits.
  6. I really don't see that being the case, Gabe. You don't live in the U.S. Hype comes and goes fast, and this will be no different. Americans think it helps to advertise this shit and that it will make a difference when it doesn't. They will all loose interest in this quickly like they always do. This. It's not just the states though, but people in general.
  7. I don't think all routers have the ability to do that. Can you take a screenshot of what you see on the admin page?
  8. Yeah, one man's garbage is another man's treasure. It's hard to say something is objectively funny.
  9. Of course those people exist, but people like that exist in every walk of life, in regards to pretty much anything.
  10. Can we get it in writing that you won't get back with her? I beg of you. Why waste your time lol? This thread already gave him the same advice about her several different times over the past year.
  11. I know exactly what I want to post. Let's just say Adam has never looked so....British :P Anyway:
  12. You can make that argument for anything though. The majority of the population tends to think studying specific things that aren't of much interest to them is a waste of time; it's the specialists in every field who go above and beyond to analyze the details.
  13. Well, I know the difference between techniques. I just didn't know phpbb worked that way :P
  14. Really? I was always under the impression the PHPBB censor worked the same way as the IPB one.... Learn something new every day I guess :P EDIT: Although actually that makes sense given phpbb's allowance of per-forum censoring... IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
  15. The best case scenario would be to do what Jagex does and allow people to turn of the censor; but that would be a large amount of work from a technical POV unfortunately.
  16. Less problems>More problems. A friend put it nicely to me the other day - some people just don't like confrontations. We know a guy who's PhD supervisor is essentially a bad person with bad ethics and participates in scientific fraud. He took this guy's thesis paper, changed the orders of the names so that he's no longer first and then invented data, submitted the paper without his permission and then made the guy do post-hoc experiments for the data he invented. What did he do? Well, he's doing the experiments now... his 7th year trying to get a PhD. I would've flipped my [bleep]ing shit, nobody messes with my hard earned work, especially when it involves roping me into fraud. The fact that your parents do this to you, I'm surprised you aren't rippin heads off. You're making this sound a lot worse than it actually is. They still pay for pretty much everything in my life. They just take the money and put it in a bank account that's suppose to be a saving account or something. All I am saying is that it would be nice to actually be able to spend some of that cash myself on things I want instead of having to argue with them about buying things such as games. Shrug. You're still pretty well off. You could always try frankly discussing it with them beforehand rather than as a heat of the moment thing.
  17. Why is beating being discussed here? It has nothing to do with the OP....
  18. Actually, Wilson encouraged his d-men to pinch, and out of all of them Phaneuf got caught the least imo. I still don't see DP as THE guy on defense..he'd be better off as a 1b defender rather than a 1A. But yeah, we still have holes. Hopefully Reimer is just suffering from a sophomore slump, and regains his form next season. We do have lots of prospect depth in net as well, but it remains to be seen how many of those actually pan out as NHL goalies...
  19. I take a little bit of an issue with this, I've seen a lot of people who typically aren't too religious get worked up when these kind of issues are brought up and respond with, "I hope you burn in hell." I've usually seen it a lot from the "Sunday Christians" crowd (Often younger, a lot of high schoolers I've seen and interacted with are like this), not fundies, who when issues like gay marriage, evolution, trans people, or separation of church and state come up will respond with quite venomous depictions of all the punishments their god will inflict. I would agree that in general the public face of many churches has rejected openly teaching about the pain and torture of hell but it's a major aspect of Judeo-Christian philosophy that pops up quite often. If they're catholic, they're misinterpreting the church's definition of hell, either deliberately or unintentionally.
  20. How do you know it hasn't made a difference? You aren't a part of the family...
  21. Just a scapegoat, like the majority of fired coaches are. I don't expect RC to make any significant difference. Randy Carlyle is a much better coach than Ron Wilson IMO. If Randy can't get the job done then I think Burke is next. I disagree, but whatever. I'd love to be proven wrong...
