  1. Last ones are very nice! Maybe tone down the background colour on a few a bit more so you can see the symbol a bit more clearly..
  2. The very same. There will always be a hint of bitterness when you ask a Leafs fan about Tyler Seguin. I don't know about "always", probably just as long as Kessel plays for the leafs. For example, I don't know any leafs fans who are still bitter about Scott Neidermayer.. Really? I do. Hell - I know Leafs fans who are still bitter about Bobby Orr ... Well you get my point, eventually most people will forget about it :P
  3. Is it the entire sphinx cache that's being rebuilt once every 24 hours?
  4. I don't hold any such unrealistic life-view. I'm under no delusions about the future of abortion on this planet; but I have no desire to give people another possible motivation for procuring one.
  5. You guys know that if you look at the team link at the bottom you can see what forums people can moderate, including Killerred...
  6. If a fetus is already aborted, shouldn't we use it in whatever way we can, though? I doubt there are many fetuses that are aborted purely for the purpose of improving stem-cell research. I could be wrong with this, since it is purely an assumption, though. But if the fetuses are aborted anyways, shouldn't we use them? No, because it tries to put some kind of validation on abortion. "It's okay because we harvested the cells". Especially given that there are multiple viable options for harvesting in ways other than embryonic, I see no need to allow embryonic stem cell harvesting.
  7. I have six siblings, I realize it's not exactly the same but pretty close. And I agree that it's not easy - but like you said it boils down to poor self control. If it's your choice to spoil your kid, fine...but it's certainly not an obligation; and I believe it's a mistake, personally. Not to mention that if your child is used to being given everything they want it makes it all that much harder when you have to stop giving them everything they want, because you can't do it forever.
  8. I'm fine with it as long as one of the viable options that isn't an aborted fetus (there are several) is used.
  9. Looks like my internet sarcasm detector was broken then, sorry :(
  10. But then you only got one life, and if you just 'buy what you need' you'll be pretty bored I can safely assume. Only if you've been raised in a consumerist culture that preaches you need to fulfill all your wants to be happy. Ok. You save for your entire life. Then what? Give it to your grandchildren when you pass away? What the hell are you going to do with all that money after you obtain a house and food? That's all you "need to live" am I right? I'm not seeing your point here, truth be told. Or donate it to the majority of the world's population who can't even afford the things they need to survive. But we digress - I was replying to your original point about how the desires for luxury goods would make it difficult to afford children.

  12. Point still stands. We as a society buy way too much shit we don't need.
  13. Just because kids desire "luxury products" doesn't mean said products have to be purchased for them...
