Yeah, I don't see Winnipeg making the playoffs this year either. They aren't really a bad team, they're just average. Problem is, there are a handful of "decent" teams all vying for the last few playoff spots. You have 15 teams in the conference. Pittsburgh, Washington, Boston, Buffalo, Tampa and Philly are all pretty much locks to make the playoffs imo. Ottawa and Florida are the only teams that have basically no chance to make the playoffs. So that leaves you with all of NYR, NYI, CAR, MTL, TOR, WPG and NJ fighting for those last two playoff spots.

When you buy a phone with that long contract, it's not just costing the amount you initially pay - you're paying for it over the term of the contract as well. So really, you can't buy an iphone for $200 at all.

No child should ever have to endure a "beating" yes, but mild physical punishment is the most effective tool for discipline at a young age imo (like a light slap or spanking). After the age of 5 or 6 there are better punishments.

Once again, saying this war produced "no" results is a gross simplification. It certainly has produced many results - not that the cost was worth the results, but there are positives. And of course, we don't know what might have been had the war not occurred..
