    Agreed with that.

I wish we could modify the forum to automatically replace all broken images with something else :P
  4. Sorry, should have said "crew hat" (i'm crew and mod). 25.
  5. This forum is rather a poor sample, since the majority are mostly teen-aged boys. But yeah, I mostly agree with you.
  6. Well that and it's so easily available.

So if somebody is offended then they've found something offensive, which was my point ;)
  8. obfuscator replied to Nomrombom's topic in Off-Topic
Well then what defines offensive then?
  9. Forcing piano on your kids (for a short time at least) is something they'll hate at the time but greatly appreciate later. My parents made me do it for about four years and I detested it at the time but looking back I greatly appreciated it; it gave me a much better understanding of music than I would have had otherwise.

What's your budget? So you want something smallish? Like a hatch or would a smaller sedan be ok? I ask this because there are some very big American 'sedans' out there. Hatch or smaller sedan is fine. I'd really prefer not to spend more than 10k, since i don't want to finance or loan or anything, just pay up front. Ok that's a rather big budget. I'm not sure what the Canadian car market is like, but in New Zealand you'd be able to get something like a 2005 Madza 3 hatch for that budget. But you could also get something a lot cooler and more powerful too. Yeah. I'm hoping for something fairly recent (not before 07 or 08) and with no more than 100k.

  13. Because I have them already :P
  14. Anyone want to buy an alien swarm parasite and/or a ghastlier gimbus? I will sell very cheap (one scrap or two weps per).
  15. Police should press charges here, not parents.
  16. Yeah, I lol'd.
  17. In terms of discipline, physical discipline is really only effective at a young age. Over the age of 5 or 6 there are much more effective punishments. It is important to underscore in some way, however, that actions have consequences. This includes as well, rewards for certain things done well, etc. As for sports/hobbies, I think for my kids I would make it mandatory that they play piano for at least a few years, as it's the best instrument to learn if you want to get into music. As for sports, I'd make it mandatory that they played something; whatever it is would be up to them.
  18. It's such a broad topic; what I will say is that a huge number of people don't realize how important good parenting is. A few things that come to mind: Discipline - being kind and encouraging is a must, but when it comes down to it; parents make the rules, not kids. If you let your kids push you around they will have problems later in life dealing with authority (such as the law, bosses) which can land them in serious trouble. Presence - You have to spend time with your kids, and set an example for them. Too many parents are so hands off that kids don't feel they have parents at all, just "older friends". Then there are of course the other things, like teaching your kids morality, although whatever that is varies from parent to parent, teching them to not take things for granted, teaching them to respect others, teaching them to be good with money, etc etc And @Rainy, it's spelled "suitors" :P
  19. That's an interesting idea, but it would be hard to let all the users know about it. I like tech's idea as well but I don't think you could do that with the current censor, you'd have to modify it.

Actually the ambulance had everything (minus the medical equipment). Still the speaker, siren, paint job, chair/shelf/bench setup in the back, it was pretty epic. Pity I can't find the listing anymore...
  21. Lol'd. 1 stone = 6.35029318 kilograms.
  22. He should be complaining to Jagex, not us. I don't even necessarily disagree with him but we are enforcing this rule until Jagex changes it. I don't even necessarily disagree with him but we are enforcing this rule until Jagex changes it. we are enforcing this rule until Jagex changes it. What Killerred said. The staff isn't one big entity where everyone has the same opinion about everything. The decision we made as a collective is to enforce runescape rules here. I may not neccessarily agree with that stance but it is my job to moderate according to the rules so I will do so.
  23. ? Jagex doesn't run this forum; we've just decided to enforce runescape rules.
